Beautiful,Tranquil,Picturesque Lake front home situated on Brewer Lake with a small private beach. You will find two kayaks for your pleasure to explore one of Maine's crystal clear lakes. Bar Harbor, home of Acadia National Park, is just 45 minutes away! There you will find Coastal Kayaking Tours, Rock Climbing, Scenic Flights of Acadia, Lobster Fishing, Seal and Whale watching , beautiful Azalea Gardens and much much more! You will be in the heart of Down East Acadia Region. Lots of festivals and fairs, concerts, and theater, art galleries and exhibits near by. You can travel the Schoodic National Scenic Byway Length 29 miles, the Bold Coast Scenic Byway Length 125 mile Highlites of these drives include beaches, cultural tours, mountain and ocean views, fishing villages, and wildlife refuges. The taste of Down East fare with Chowder houses, Lobster Pounds, Brew Pubs, Clam Shacks, Cafes, Bakeries, and Fresh farmers markets are just out the back door.

A Wonderful choice for our 50th!

This was our first vacation in Maine and we picked a gem! The decor of this lakeside home, both inside and out, is outstanding. The living room windows is like an ever changing mural of the lake. Love this place!

Lovely Lakeside Cottage

A beautiful spot with some of the best views on the lake, including gorgeous sunsets. Lots of strategic seating around the property to take best advantage of those views! Great swimming and kayaking off the dock. The cottage is spotless and lacking for nothing. The hosts are thoughtful and responsive to communications insuring you have the perfect stay.

Picture perfect

Fantastic location, beautiful home and grounds, impeccably maintained. Fell asleep to loons every night. Can't say enough good things about this home. The communication with the hosts was the best we've ever experienced. We'll definitely be back.

A slice of heaven!

The property exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. In fact, we thought the photos did not show how truly lovely the property was. A generous lot on a quiet lake with pleasing landscape. There were lots of areas to sit and enjoy dinner, coffee, sunbathing, grilling and chillaxing. The hosts provide kayaks which was a bonus, allowing us to get out on the lake to visit the islands and the coves. Dan and Karen we're most accommodating, even installing an additional AC unit in the bedroom to alleviate any potential discomfort for sleeping. They stayed in touch quickly and even allowed us to arrive a little early. The property is outfitted with everything you could possibly want to cook and enjoy your surroundings, including extras like a fire pit, Bluetooth speaker, swim towels, life jackets, a full laundry and a very active hummingbird feeder! The location is great as well with a Hannaford Supermarket and many other stores just 5 Mi away, and mini golf for those cloudy days just 3 Mi away! Exploration to Ellsworth and Bar Harbor -Acadia area was a pleasant day trip away. In Ellsworth, we discovered Serendip, a Sri Lankan restaurant, Birdsacre, a pleasant hiking trail/nature sanctuary and Rooster Brothers, a fantastic cookware and homeGoods store. In Brooksville, we found a great brick oven pizza location with craft beer and delicious toppings from their own garden called Tinder Hearth. You'll be happy you booked this the Cozy Couples Getaway!

Beautiful escape

This truly is the best getaway you can find. The location is stunning and place has everything you need and is very comfortable. Waking up on the lake was spectacular, and you truly feel like you're in nature, yet Bangor is only 20 minutes away. Couldn't recommend this place more highly, we would love to stay again.

Great view and grounds but cabin needs updating

The view and garden were great. The owner was great to communicate with check is was super easy and the location is convenient. Upon arrival the oven was not working and the host offered to bring a countertop model so we could cook Cabin itself could use some updating. Nothing was fundamentally wrong but everything just seemed tired and old. The AC was not central air just one mini split so no AC in the bedroom. this was my fault I just assumed that when ac was listed it was central air. the bathroom shower was odd since the where head was way low and there was a shower door and a shower curtain. There are really nice hardwood floors in the living area then some older engineered flooring that abruptly ends at the bedroom. The bedroom floor appeared to be either painted plywood or OSB with some area rugs. There were outlets and switches that had mismatched cover plates. The kitchen sink as a mismatch of cooking utensils and knives. The countertops looked to be Formica that was cut and pieced together to make them fit which is odd since there were wolf cooktop and oven. It’s not a bad place at all and the owner communicated great just needs updating Overall depending on what your looking for this could be a great place for you

A Sliceof Heaven

Fantastic property inside and out. I’m a stickler for cleanliness and this place was pristine. Really comfortable bed and high quality linens. The lake was the most peaceful we’ve ever been on. Hosts are wonderful—communicative and helpful. We want to make this our vacation trip every year!

A Perfect Place to Relax

The property was beautiful …..beautiful gardens around it, a beautiful lake to gaze at and beautiful inside. It has a good location for many interesting day trips. It was just a perfect, relaxing vacation.

Rejuvenation Lake, Loons and Peace

Full review is in the book at the cabin. This was possibly the best Vrbo my husband and I have ever stayed in. Lovely grounds and landscaping on a peaceful lake with the amazing sounds of loons. The bed is super comfy which is really important to us on vacation. We enjoyed the kayaks at sunset and moon rise. Thank you for a great place to wind down on our first trip to Maine.

Lilacs, Loons and a Lake House

Quiet, peaceful, the lake was so close to the house, it felt like we were on a boat. Morning breezes coming in through the bedroom windows were delightful. It was fantastic!

Location is a stress reliever

Great host with a perfect property for some downtime on the lake. Perfect location and the house has all the amenities you will need. Outdoor space is wonderful as was the use of their kayaks! Would definitely rent again.

Beautiful property!

We had a nice relaxing stay at this wonderful cottage. The cottage is in a beautiful setting and has every convenience you need. We did two day trips to Acadia and a few days kayaking on the lake. We would definitely recommend this cottage or even go back again ourselves.

In a word, Perfect!

“Perfect” is the best way to describe Dan and Karen’s place on Brewer Lake! The cottage is fantastic with all that you need for a relaxing getaway! The pictures are exactly as you see on the listing. The views of the lake and surrounding woods are breathtaking. The cottage has modern appliances (the WOLF gas cooktop and oven was awesome!) and the sleep number bed was SO comfortable...in fact we are going shopping for one today! The location is about 30 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes to local shopping, yet you feel like you are really away from everything. It is quiet and peaceful with loads of wildlife literally on the door step. We highly recommend Dan and Karen’s cottage for anyone looking to getaway, you will not regret it! We are already looking at availability in the future! Jeff and Aleksey

The Maine Getaway

Beautiful Getaway 💗

1st Wedding Anniversary

This beautiful cottage was a peaceful escape from our busy lives. The hosts really thought of everything and provide their guests with essentials to enjoy this wonderful property. The proximity to Acadia is perfect and we went on some tremendous hikes. The sunset over the lake on our last night was incredible as we watched from the chairs down by the water. We will definitely be back in the future!

The Loons are Calling

This place is wonderful. A lot of thought has gone into making it a lovely experience. The home is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed the sunsets, the loons, the hummingbirds, the stars, the fires at night, and of course the lake. It’s a perfect getaway and Bar Harbor and Acadia are only an hour away if you choose. We highly recommend this perfect, cozy cottage.

Everything about this place is wonderful!

The lake is beautiful, the house is very well kept and equipped. We loved kayaking the lake, sitting at sunset on the deck over the lake and sitting by the fire at night. It was a wonderful stay!

Gorgeous lakefront cottage

The cottage was beautiful , clean and well appointed. There was a problem with the bed which could not be resolved during our stay. The host , but not the property manager , was available during our stay . Karen and Dan were very responsive. However, the people who first assessed the problem were not able to find or fix. We are hopeful that in the future we can have a successful stay at this gorgeous property.

Birthday getaway

Planned this trip for my wife's birthday, and for a break from hectic work schedules. We were more than happy with the location and the cottage. We were so relaxed and it sure helped to relieve the stress. Will most definitely consider coming back

Sunsets, sunsets, sunsets!! They are breath taking and last for hours. The sound of loons and the lap of the lake on the shore will surly put you to sleep. The location is off the beaten path yet just a few miles from everything you need.

To experience Maine in a way that is unique to your style. We are surrounded by the pines and gardens with a cottage less than 100 feet from the crystal clear lake. You can kayak to see the resident bald eagles just steps from the front door, or pick up fresh lobsters from Jones 3 miles away and sit around a bomb fire while you cook up the feast. Drive to the famous Acadia National Park to see the sights and return back for a peaceful night under the stars. There are many hikes to experience and dining down on the waterfront if you don't want to cook . Come with the expectation of experiencing Maine and all it has to offer .
