Step out of the back gate and take an easy stroll down the path (approximately a 10-15 minute walk one way) through cool towering oaks to the beach. Along the way you’ll enjoy panoramic views up and down the coast, all the way to Monterey.

Romantic sunset viewing will take your breath away! Dozens of trails crisscross the woods around the house, all leading to adventure and stunning views for hikers, mountain bikers, and runners. New Brighton Beach State Park features a roster of activities and events for kids and adults, and the new McGregor Pump Track and Skate Park is a short bike ride away.

Your Pot Belly Beach House is comfortable, spacious, and modern. It features designer upgrades, all new appliances, comfortable beds, Smart TVs in every bedroom, high speed internet, and location, location, location! Drive or bike to Capitola, with dozens of shops, restaurants and galleries. The Cabrillo College Farmer’s Market is less than five minutes away, and the Santa Cruz downtown with its incredible shopping and restaurants, and the World-Famous Santa Cruz Boardwalk and Pier, are just a short drive from your front door. If you want to bike, hike or stroll through a fairy-tale forest that looks like something out of King Arthur’s Camelot, the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park is 10 minutes away off California 1.

Good times at the Pot Belly

We loved our stay at the Pot Belly house. It was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We loved the State park right outside the back gate, and the multiple comfortable spaces for our teenagers and younger children and us to all enjoy.

The house was a great location, great layout, easy to use. Loved the style and everything was in working order. The windows in the living room are amazing and the view of the trees was fantastic. I loved sitting and reading with the trees behind me!! Location was wonderful and there was a pump track in riding distance my boys loved. The beach isn’t easy access like we hoped for my elderly parents though… You have to walk through a campsite which I didn’t realize! Then there are alot of stairs. Sadly we arrived to missing trash cans (my husband found one…) lots of spider webs in the house and a dirty hot tub… (boys still used because they didn’t mind..) All in all it was a great stay. I would stay here again.

Large open family space

Great house just a few minutes walk to a quiet beach and centrally located in the Santa Cruz area . Lots of room to spread out and visit. The kitchen is well stocked and clean. We will definitely go back.

Finally a VRBO that over delivered . Pics don’t do the house justice. We were in town for my daughter’s UCSC graduation and this place was the perfect location to gather with family and spend a long weekend visiting.

Great Family Get Away

Fun layout where rooms are accessible via other rooms yet privacy is just one closed door away. Hot tub was a real treat, used it daily. Washer and dryer in the garage, just like home, kitchen has everything you need to cook and reasonable meal, very clean and with gorgeous new appliances.5 min drive to Aptos ( Manuel’s) 10 min to downtown Capitola, 20 min to Santa Cruz. Unbeatable. Quiet neighborhood. Just lovely. I’d rent again in a heartbeat. Bailey Management was prompt, professional with a seamless check in/ check out experience. P.S. I loved reading the story of the house written by the owner located in the blue binder!! Just a warm and wonderful place to be.

Two separate living room areas with comfy seating and plenty of room to spread out. TV's all worked fine, and it was nice to have access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu on the main living room TV. Very nice, well-appointed kitchen with plenty of storage space for your food items. An added bonus is a great backyard with easy walking distance through New Brighton State Park campground to the beach. We are return customers who will continue to return as long as the property is available for rent!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely girls trip staying at the pot belly beach house. Loved the open layout of the home, nice furnishings and nice outdoor spaces. We were surprised how convenient it was to things we typically do there, Mariannes ice cream, great restaurants and groceries, farmers market at cabrillo, etc. Walked to the beach, but ended up driving to the state park most days taking our wagon and found the beach to be awesome and uncrowded. Walked in he campground and to capitola also. Can't wait to visit again

We enjoyed sitting in the backyard during the morning, watching the coastal fog sifting through the eucalyptus & redwood trees. It's a quiet wooded neighborhood, not a loud party like atmosphere, if you need peace and rest, this is the place. My only concern was the dog hair on the floors, might not be favorable for allergy sufferers.

Beautiful!

Beautiful home. Great l location. Private yard with plenty of seating and natural plants. Beach access out the gate. Kitchen well equipped. Easy access to lots to do in the area. The only reason not 5 stars all around is the hot tub was too dirty to be used when we arrived though that was handled immediately and you have to drive somewhere else to get the keys instead of there being a lock box at the home. Everything else was perfect and we’ll be back!

Lovely vacation spot!

We were a party of 7 people (family) spending almost a week at this fantastic house. Open and social spaces inside and backyard was great for hanging out. So nice to have the park right outside, felt secluded and quiet. Everything we needed and more!! The only (minor!) downside was the short drive for check-in and check-out to the office.

Beautiful house with gorgeous back yard. Access to the beach took a bit longer than advertised - bring a beach wagon. Helpful to have baby plates/cups available!

Beautiful space in a beautiful setting

This property was everything we wanted and more - top quality furniture, provisions, stocked kitchen, wonderful grill, hot tub and access to woods and beach as stated. You won't be disappointed here. We didn't have any issues with odors or heat in this place, like some of the other reviews state. Thank you for a wonderful weekend of making memories. We would love to return!

Great Vacation

We had 7 adults. The space was perfect, the yard is gorgeous, jacuzzi was nice. It was perfect.
