Hear the waves in this Aptos vacation home across the street from the neighborhood beach entrance to the Seacliff and Pot Belly beaches. Walk down a very pictures Beachgate path or, if you have too many beach things, drive 0.2mi and use provided California State Park pass for the free access and parking.

Our Beach house has gone through a complete remodel in the winter / spring of '22. We were inspired by our stays in cozy Mediterranean vacation rentals and agritourismos.

CasaMareAptos is a duplex. The upstairs apartment is never rented; it's our second home and we, a retired couple, use it part time.

The house architecture provides total privacy; with guest having an exclusive use of the downstairs, fenced in back/side yards, outdoor shower, Weber BBQ, and 2 car driveway. Only the front yard is shared with the owners. There is practically no street parking. The rental comes with a 2 parking spaces in the driveway.

Just bring your bathing suit. Everything else is provided: linens, beach towels, chairs, umbrella and toys. Also included are (over $200 value):
- CA State Park vehicle pass to visit over 20 local state parks.
- 2 member guest passes to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which can be used daily. Save time by skipping a long line and using the member entrance!

2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths - sleeps 6, with California king bed, queen bed, a pull out queen sofa bed in the living-room and a twin AeroBed. Recently remodeled kitchen and baths, new furniture and mattresses. The kitchen is fully equipped and the house includes washer and dryer, an outdoor hot water shower, cable TV, WiFi, DVD player, stereo with CD player, and lots of books and games.

Seacliff beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. It is wide, 19+ mile long, and in low tide you can walk 1.5 mi to Capitola. Spend quiet weekdays swimming, boogie boarding and surfing with just the dolphins, whales, seals and shorebirds to keep you company.

This is a great location for visiting Monterrey, Carmel, Capitola, Santa Cruz, 17 Mile Drive or just relaxing on the beach.

Dear Guests,

We want to ensure that your visit will not only be happy and relaxing, but also safe and worry-free. We take the health and safety of our guests very seriously and maintain rigorous cleaning standards. Over the years many of the guests’ reviews have remarked on the cleanliness of our place. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, extra precautions are being taken to minimize risks of this disease. We are closely monitoring the latest research, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local health agencies for the latest developments related to COVID-19 and following the guidance of government and public health officials.

Our home is professionally cleaned and disinfected between stays. We're very fortunate to have the same family business working with us since we started. Cleaners wear masks and we provide them with gloves, hand sanitizers and the necessary cleaning supplies, including bleach. They pay special attention to surfaces that are handled frequently such as television remotes, doorknobs, light switches, faucets, etc. Keys, door handles, outdoor furniture, etc. are cleaned between each guest. The place is aired after cleaning.

All linen, including throw blankets are washed in hot water and, since we have multiple sets, by default quarantined for several days. Similar to European and high end hotels, e.g. The Ritz and The Four Seasons, we have always used duvet covers, which of course are washed after every guest stay.

Our cleaning supplies include bleach and a box of gloves for use during guests’ stay. And we have added a bottle of hand sanitizer to our welcome gift, Santa Cruz lemonade and local wine.

We hope that by taking these precautions, your vacation will be worry-free, and all you have to do is enjoy the sun and the surf.
