Cozy house with a panoramic view of Lake Superior. Enjoy overlooks of the Aerial Lift Bridge, downtown Duluth and ships in the harbor.

The front deck features a panoramic view and the side yard has a scenic view with a sitting area along with a fire pit. The back yard has a lovely grotto with seasonal gardens.

Gourmet kitchen, with many extra cooking accessories and features:
JennAir dual fuel cooking range (gas range and electric oven)
Subzero refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher
LeCreuset and cast iron pots & pans
Coffee, tea
Spices and more

The kitchen, dining & living room are combined in an open space, the master bedroom and living room have spectacular views.

The three bedrooms have hillside/lake views.
King bed (comfy) in master bedroom, full sized (comfy) bed in second bedroom & twin bed (comfy) in third bedroom.

Nice views and central location for area attractions. Great kitchen with everything we needed to cook meals. Comfortable beds and house was very quiet at night. Highly recommend.

Perfect location within Duluth! The house was clean with adorable decorations. We loved having the space to cook meals and look out the window at the lift bridge

The location of “The Red House” is great for experiencing Duluth. The view is amazing, the kitchen is well appointed, the beds are comfy, and Linda is very responsive.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The view was terrific, and the location was excellent in terms of getting around the city. It was fun to explore other parts of Duluth than just the Lakefront and Canal park area. The place was immaculate and charming. It is perched up high, so be prepared for that.

A great place to stay over looking Lake Superior. This was a great spot for a friend's get away. I have never had a place supply eggs, bread, fresh berries, coffee, tea, and creamer. This is a comfortable and inviting home. Thank you!

Overall a very nice stay. Host was friendly and communicated, and place was nicely stocked. I thought it would be a little easier to walk down town, but due to hill it was a little too far- however uber was cheap and plentiful, and being on the hill gives you an awesome view, and there was a really cool fire pit. The master bedroom is very nice and large with a comfy bed and also has the awesome view, the others are on the smaller side but functional. We stayed with 3 guys, it was plenty big for that and we had a great time.

Linda is the best host. She checked in to make sure all was as promised. The house was perfect and very comfortable. We loved exploring the North Shore and this was a perfect base. Linda had binoculars for us to use and that was a wonderful surprise. We found the house was unique and had a lot of artistic touches which were very different from previous places I have stayed.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was clean, beds comfy, and a beautiful convenient location. The view is phenomenal! We even watched a ship come in from the front window! There’s all the dishware or utensils you may need. Linda was very responsive. There is a fire pit as well but we were so tired when we got back each night after our excursions that we didn’t end up using it. Would defiantly stay again!

Easy access location for any activities in Duluth & Linda was wonderfully communicative! The Red House was perfectly set up with fun games & a sweet, artful interior. Loved our time there!

We had such a great stay at the Red House in Duluth. After a really tough month—losing a family member and dealing with a lot of work stress—we just needed to get away. Duluth is one of our favorite places to reset, and we wanted somewhere that felt homey and would welcome our two little dogs. The Red House checked every box and then some.The place was super clean, really comfortable, and close to all the shops and restaurants we love. We especially enjoyed the view of the lift bridge, and the artwork and glass pieces around the house were such a fun surprise to notice throughout our stay. The host was friendly and quick to respond whenever we had a question.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy, easy place to stay in Duluth.

I grew up in the east end of Duluth, lived in Arizona for 5 years, Toronto for 6 years and returned home to raise my son in this great city, in 1996.

I love living on the hillside and It gives me such joy to share this place with visitors.
In August 2020, I bought the little grey house (circa 1890) directly above The Red House on the Hill. :-)

I love to cook and bake. Creating a great meal or treat brings me joy. I hope you’ll stay!
