Relax and unwind at Surf and Turf.
Nestled on a very quiet street just one block off of Main, watch the ponies parade by on their way to the Carnival Grounds only a half mile away! See the Fourth of July fireworks from the front steps! Come and vacation!
Surf and Turf is a spacious and comfortable retreat for family and friends. The first floor greets you with a large family room open to the kitchen, along with a quieter living room perfect for conversation or reading a good book. Down the hall is the master bedroom equipped with a king bed and full bath. A laundry room with half bath is also located on the first floor.
The second floor includes two bedrooms, one featuring a queen bed with TV/DVD player, the second having two twin beds perfect for all ages. The second floor also has a spacious full bath which includes a high shower head for anyone who is tall.
Natural light fills the whole house making it a cheerful, relaxing place to vacation.
Surf and Turf has the large paved driveway boat owners are looking for, which along with the yard provides outdoor play area. An outdoor shower, including a dressing room is also there.
We invite you and your guests to enjoy all that the land and sea offers at Surf and Turf.
Please bring your own linens (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twin), towels and washcloths. We ask that you leave the home in a neat and tidy condition. This home has a NO SMOKING and a NO PETS POLICY.
Amenities Include:

Wonderful Vacation home

The property was great. Lots of space for our family to spread out. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. Overall an excellent experience.

Lovely home spacious

Surf and turf

The property was lovely and spacious allowing good times and quiet times when needed. The queen bedroom seemed to get a bit hot, bit overall a great place to stay.

Great location, Nice place

We came to the island for my buddies surprise 50th birthday party. This house was located within walking distance from his place which made it perfect. The house was clean and we were pleased with the booking. The only thing I really don’t care for or understand is why I need to bring sheets and towels on a cross country flight. I’m sure this happens but out of the many places I’ve rented over the years, I’ve never heard of it. Seems like an easy thing to fix. Also, the keys being on site or a numerical door like would be great but wasn’t a big deal. Thanks Deborah for allowing us to stay here. Was a perfect location and thanks for your immediate response to my questions.

Lovely Home

We had a wonderful week (Penning Week) at this beautiful home. It is lovely inside and out, comfortable, and spacious. The location worked well for us being more on the South end of the island (we walked to the pony crossing area and were just a few steps from Main St where the ponies walked afterward to the Carnival grounds - also walking distance). We either biked or took our car to other locations on the island and parking was rarely a problem. The owners clearly take pride in their home. Highly recommend.

Nice vacation home

It was a relaxing place to stay! Great neighborhood, very quiet yet close to everything. The house was a great size for our family of 6. The upstairs bedrooms/bath could use some upgrades. The air conditioner was not able to cool the master bedroom nor the bedroom with the queen size bed well. The master bed door lock did not function properly. We would have loved to use the outdoor shower yet it was not working correctly. The kitchen had some leftover items that came in handy during our stay. It was fully stocked with appliances/dishes etc. which was fabulous. Used the crockpot a few nights after the long day at the beach/water park! We loved the convenience of the washer/dryer on 1st floor. Unfortunately, when we first arrived there was a clump of dark brown hair found in master shower, stains on mattress covers and hair on comforter. Otherwise it seemed pretty clean. Debbie was a very helpful host. She was able to answer all questions I had and followed up prior to our arrival. Check in/out was very easy with clear instructions. We enjoyed our relaxing vacation and the quaint home. We would certainly consider staying again.

Pictures don’t do it justice!!!

The place was so cute!!!! The pictures most definitely do not do it justice - so much better than we thought!!! It’s in walking distance to the fair (about a mile) we rented bikes and just bikes everywhere! It’s quiet and tucked away, but in a good way!!! Couldn’t recommend the place more!!!

Another great week

We enjoyed our stay here in July 2020 and returned in July 2021. Plenty of space in a quiet neighborhood. We immediately noticed and appreciated the new plank flooring in the living room and kitchen - a great upgrade from carpet for this beach home. And the outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. Hope to return again in future years.

Be aware and pls read about our experience

We chose this property for our mini vacation based on the good reviews we read on VRBO page. Upon arrival late at night, we noticed that the lights outside were not working, refrigerator and stove (especially oven) were not cleaned well but overall the property was in average, acceptable condition. We are not complainers so we did not think much about it, after all, our plan was to spend as much time outside on the beach or biking. It took us by surprise however, what we had to do before departure ("sharp" 10 o’clock checkout time). There was a note on the refrigerator with a list of things the renters need to do before leaving (sweep/clean the floors, clean/dry as well as put the dishes away etc.; in our case it took additional hour to wait for the dishwasher to finish the cycle so the dry dishes could be put away - remember we had to do it before 10), Needless to say that, even though, it is customary to clean after yourself, for example put the dishes into dishwasher and we don't debate that, the extended list surprised us, especially because we paid property manager for cleaning (also, the sheets and towels were not provided due to Corona Virus, so no one had to clean sheets after us). Yet, we planned accordingly and we left the property spotless as we were expected to do. Unfortunately, couple of days later we received email from the property manager stating that we’ve damaged the wall and our security deposit will be used to fix it. At that point we felt that someone wants to take advantage of us, (we did not touch any walls and missing paint was probably due to the fact that the wall was painted long time ago, however it is not our place to judge it). . We were ready to dispute the charge. VRBO representative was very professional with us and we appreciate it very much but the property manager left us with really bad memory of our little vacation, even though the dispute was resolved in our favor. We want future renters to know about our experience and make sure to take a notice of any imperfection in this house/property before being accused of damaging something. Be aware! Rail and outside bench are not in the best shape and can easily break as well as all furniture/bathroom fixtures are old!!!

Great time

Really enjoyed the property. Quiet place to stay. Brought a boat with us. Felt safe keeping it at the property. Will definitely opt for this versus a hotel next time.

Spacious, quiet, clean!

We had a great stay, the kitchen was clean and fully equipped. I think the photos don’t do the space justice, it has a lot of light and is cozy! Also loved the outdoor shower. We booked pretty last minute and they squeezed us in which was great, however communication was a little spotty- probably due to booking so late, so that was the only complaint!

Surf and Turf is a clean, well appointed house. Nice quiet neighborhood. Close to the water for beautiful sunsets. Enjoyed buying fresh seafood and grilling on charcoal grill
