Newport getaway

Loved the decor and location of this well-appointed beach getaway. We also chose this particular listing for the desk alcove so members of our family could “work from home” while others explored the area. We will have to come back as there were many amenities that we didn’t even get a chance to use, such as the outdoor barbecue and patio.

Incredible in every aspect!

This is where you want to stay! 1block from the beach and 3 blocks from the ferry to Balboa Island! The home is beautiful and has everything you need! Beds are comfortable, kitchen is well appointed, and the front room relaxing. We loved using the bikes to ride on the boardwalk and to the fun zone and used the beach chairs to sit and enjoy the sun and ocean! This place is simply wonderful!!

A great property in a convenient location

We had a great time staying at this Balboa Peninsula property. The check in process was smooth with a representative actually showing up to show us around the place and to answer questions. Nice outside furniture available to enjoy morning coffee. Close to the ferry that goes to Balboa Island, as well as a number of local restaurants.

We had a great 3 night stay. Such a convenient location for the beach and harbor! They had all the accessories that you need for the beach (wagon, towels, chairs, mats and bikes too!) Loved our stay!

Great weekend getaway

We loved our stay at the property with our family of 7. The home is clean, well organized, has a well-equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds. Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and beach games are all provided. The outdoor patio is a great extension of the space and so pleasant to spend time on. The location near Balboa Fun Zone is fantastic, as it is close to shops, markets, and restaurants. I highly recommend staying here!

Great Location

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming VRBO condo on Balboa Peninsula, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a beautifully decorated and immaculately clean space that immediately felt like a home away from home. The condo itself is spacious, bright, and thoughtfully designed. The open-concept living area is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the island, and the fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals whenever we chose to dine in. The comfortable bedrooms offered a restful retreat. One of the highlights of this property is its fantastic location. Just a short stroll from the condo, you'll find the delightful shops, cafes, and restaurants that Balboa Island is known for. And let’s not forget the picturesque waterfront just steps away – it’s ideal for morning walks or evening sunsets. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Her attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a pleasant stay were evident throughout our visit.

Highly recommended fantastic property with ideal location

This property is as stunning in person as it looks in the photos. Spacious, clean, and stocked with everything you need - kitchen supplies, bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, Brand new washer/dryer (in shared garage). Everyone in my family raved about how comfortable the beds were, and my teens appreciated having their own rooms with TV's. The location cannot be beat - 75 steps to the boardwalk on the beach, and plenty of restaurants and entertainment near the Fun Zone about 10 minute walk away. No car needed! The owner provided us with restaurant recommendations and connected us with a tour of the harbor in a Duffy boat. We were greeted by the owner's rental agent who showed us everything we needed to know about staying in the unit, using the TV, etc. Overall, we were impressed with everything about this property. HIghly recommended.

Better than advertised

Great location and house. Walk to beach and restaurants. I was really impressed with some of the details the owner thought of, like cotton swabs, shampoo and body wash in bathrooms. Check-in was done by an actual person who walked us through how everything worked. There was a problem with the washing machine which just happened earlier that day and the owner had a maintenance person out to fix it within 24 hours. Just outstanding customer service, better than any other VRBO we have stayed at. Highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway

The house is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Denise, the manager, welcomed us ( we stayed twice within a month bc it was so awesome) and was always available whenever we needed anything. There are 6 bikes to use and it’s super close to the Balboa Fun Zone, the ferry, and the pier. So much fun to cruise around the beautiful area! We’ll definitely be back!

Family holiday from Australia

We had a fantastic stay at Balboa Peninsula Retreat. The property was spacious & immaculately clean & in a brilliant location with an easy 1 min walk to the beach. The area was very quiet & we were able to quickly recover from our jet lag as the beds are the most comfortable I’ve slept in. We really appreciated Gila & Denise’s generosity in providing an earlier arrival. They were both very responsive to our messages all our expectations were met throughout our stay. Would highly recommend booking your next Newport Beach stay here. We loved it.

Balboa Family Get Together

The Balboa Peninsula property was exactly as listed. It was clean, beautifully decorated and close to a lot of amenities. It is just a couple of blocks from the beach and boardwalk, Fun Zone and the Ferry to Balboa Island, a must do! We rented it for a family birthday and Fathers Day weekend and it was perfect for 5 adults. Definitely would stay again and highly recommend it!

Perfect Location and House!

We loved our stay at this property! We had 6 girls here for a birthday weekend and it was so clean, so spacious, had everything you need for a fun weekend, parking was more than enough, gorgeous patio/balcony, and location was close to everything! The whole process was so simple and the owner was easy to contact if we needed anything. 10/10 would stay here again. Our friend is also thinking about renting it for her family. Could not recommend it enough!

Beach Getaway

The property was cute, and our family enjoyed our stay. Having A/C was a huge plus. Property manager was very easy to contact and communicate with both before our stay and throughout. There aren’t a ton of restaurants within walking distance which did make it a little more challenging for our family, but we made it work.

Wonderful Location!

We stayed here for a few nights with my family. We loved the location of the property and the close proximity of the bay and ocean. We also appreciated the beach chairs and the bikes included in the rental. The only issue I found was the 1,000 deposit that they don’t release until 14 days after departure. I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs and have never seen that. I’m fine with a deposit but we should have that released after just a few business days, not 14. Overall, it was a great stay though!

Fantastic!

The home was wonderful! Everything you need and then some was available. Quick block to beach on one side and a block to the bay on the other side. They had a binder full of all appliance instructions. The only thing I would recommend is for them to add a list of good restaurants, grocery, shopping and activities so that we didn’t have to research all of it. But you won’t be disappointed!

Great family getaway by the beach

We enjoyed the house, it was perfect for a family. It was clean and everything was updated and nicely decorated and comfortable. All amenities were easy to use including the smart TV and BBQ. We walked to the beach and rented a small boat, the location is great for walking to many restaurants and activities. We will be back!

Large and Clean!

It was a very easy checkin with Denise. She was pleasant and easy to contact. The unit is spacious and very clean. The kitchen is well-stocked and organized with cooking utensils, dishes, etc. However, the beautiful master shares a bathroom with a smaller bedroom, and the smallest bedroom has a private, ensuite bathroom. The ferry to Balboa Island is within walking distance, and the Peninsula is very walkable! We didn't use our cars during our stay.

I purchased this home because I love the beach, the water activities close by, and the small town feel of Balboa Village. I love to ride my bike on the beach path, and there are bikes available at the house for guests to use. Duffy boat rentals, SUP, kayaking, surfing and fishing are all easily accessible from this home. Restaurants, bars and shopping are an easy walk.
