Wonderful house with plenty of beds for our big group. Great location to playground and south beach. We rented a golf cart but it is walkable as well. Nice big kitchen. Back yard is peaceful with a lot of grass space where our kids played. Loved the patio and fire pit at night. Would definitely stay again.

South Haven - a place to rest and restore

Our vacation home was lovely, clean, and had everything we needed, if we stayed in and cooked or went out to eat. While you are in SH try yoga on the beach (SWF) or meditative prayer (TTH) at the Episcopal Church.

The house was wonderful and cozy. 10/10 for the house. We did however run into some annoyances. Parking was miscommunicated. The rule book said to park directly in front of the house on the street. We did this (late at night when it was dark) and ended up having parking enforcement showing up to the house the next morning and knocking on the door. We were two feet off from where we were supposed to park and the neighbor called and complained. The host threatened eviction if we violated the parking rules again. The fire pit is a propane pit and we couldn’t get it to work. Tried switching the tank out, every other trick we could think of and nothing. The host wasn’t very helpful with that. Never got the fire we wanted. One of the rules is to water the plants outside. I’m on vacation, I didn’t ask for you to plant a bunch of flowers outside. Why in Gods name should I have to water plants? I did it, but only because I wanted my deposit back. We ran out of toilet paper and paper towels on day 2. Had to do a grocery delivery order to have that delivered. Great house just too many stupid rules and a mildly pretentious host.
