A BEAUTIFUL RETREAT OVERLOOKING THE ASSATEAGUE ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE
The 2 bedroom / 2 bath freshly painted, and newly decorated home is centrally air conditioned and heated and is fully furnished with everything necessary for comfortable leisure living. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and downstairs has two twins that can convert to a king. The house has a deck/balcony. The living room has a rocker/recliner chair, TV & DVD player.

Other items include a grill, dishes, tableware, pots/pans, crab steamer, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, pillows, and blankets. Bring your own bedding (1 Queen and 2 Twins) and towels/wash cloths. We ask you to please leave the house in a clean, tidy condition for the next guests to arrive.

Perfect stay

The home had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The beds are comfy, washer and dryer worked great, and the house was very clean. I loved the location, we could see the lighthouse and we enjoyed fishing and kayaking with the boat ramp across the street. Definitely would stay here again.

Amazing view, quiet location

Fantastic views of the channel and Assateague lighthouse from the balcony, tons of birds, multiple pony sightings. Location was the perfect balance of quiet and off the beaten path yet easy to get to. We look forward to returning!

Cozy place on the bay

Great time seeing the pony swim, property is right around the corner from memorial park…we were able to watch all the boaters/kayakers each morning, fish from dock and ride bikes all over the place. The house was comfortable and homey and had everything needed to cook meals, if desired. Beautiful stay….

Fun getaway!

What a perfect place for our family to unplug and reconnect! Loved looking at the lighthouse and seeing the ponies in the morning. Well-stocked kitchen was perfect for the little cooking I did!

Great Vacation

We loved staying at this property. We loved the location and view of the lighthouse. Easy access to launching our Kayaks and fishing across the street ! Walking distance to Etta’s Restaurant and other attractions. Did I mention the great location? Thanks again Deborah for a wonderful vacation!

Simple, clean and comfortable- good value!

The manager was responsive and easy to work with. The house is as advertised, clean and comfortable. The elevated living area and deck are great for enjoying the breezes. The kitchen was well equipped and and seemed to be recently renovated while the beds were comfortable. A good value for the money in a quiet location. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Perfect spot!

Paradise By The Lighthouse was a wonderful place to stay. House was very clean. Kitchen as well equipped. My husband and I brought our bicycles. We biked the whole island It was easy to get around. We stayed during Pony swim week which was an awesome sight to see and there was something to do everyday. Deborah was easy to get a hold of if I needed anything. Would love to visit again. Thank you for a perfect vacation.

Great getaway!

This was a fantastic place for our family of four. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and had everything we need for our stay. The view from the deck was great and we enjoyed sitting out there with the breeze watching the boats go by. The check-in and check out process were very easy. Stephanie was very responsive and helpful. The only problem we had was that freezer handle looked like it had been broken and glued previously and then broke again during our stay. This is a great place for a family getaway!

Wonderful getaway

We had a wonderful time at our visit to the island and it was in large part due to this house. It was big enough for our little family and had everything we needed-even baby gates! I hadn’t even thought of that! The kitchen also had anything and everything we needed to make it easy to getaway. Loved the deck and watching the boats and seeing the lighthouse and even the ponies.

Very Pleasant Stay

Check in process was smooth and easy. I loved feeling like I was being dealt with as an individual rather than a number. The location was very scenic and the house was beautiful and well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, pillows, blankets, and food storage containers. The only reason I did not give five stars for cleanliness is because there was a slight musty smell upon entering, which aggravated my and my children's allergies a little. It might be due to the air always being damp and the hot, humid climate--not for lack of cleanliness. A small inconvenience for such a nice place.

Better than expected

The house was clean, equipped with everything we needed and overall better than pictured. The AC worked great and we loved that it had ceiling fans in all of the rooms.

Fantastic week

Paradise by the Lighthouse is everything we could've asked for. Two floors, two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms gave everyone space to spread out, while the living and dining area gave us plenty of space to all be together. Clean and comfortable, scenic views from the balcony, and a great location all add to the great value and experience. Check in and check out were super easy, and communication with the property manager was quick and clear. Paradise by the Lighthouse is a fantastic stay.

Nice rental for a family getaway

I stayed at this house for one week with my husband and two kids. It was nice because the adult bedroom was upstairs and the kids were downstairs. So we were able to stay up later watching TV without disturbing kids. Kitchen was well stocked. Even had cupcake pan that I was able to make muffins in. Easily able to cook full meals in the kitchen. The only thing that I would warn anyone about is that the stairs are very steep. So if your party has anyone with mobility issues or painful knees it might not be the best choice. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and have no reservations recommending it to others.

Good but problems with seafood business truck noise and smell

I was happy with the location and interior of the home. It would have been perfect as there is a balcony overlooking the water. However, about 90% of the time during our 6 day stay there were one or two big trucks parked right next to the residence which left their engines running all night to cool seafood from the facility located across the street. The loud noise and unpleasant seafood smell emanating from the trucks made it mostly impossible to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view of the water which was the reason I booked this home. While the management company was nice enough, they were also not responsive for one reason or another. I would not rent this place again for these reasons though Chincoteague itself is a wonderful place.

Basta family stay

Property was clean. The room with the twin beds was smaller than expected and the attached bathroom to that bedroom was very small. We discovered an issue with ants in the kitchen soon after arriving. We understand this happens, but it did get worse so we had to ask for ant traps which were dropped off for us. We had all food we brought in the cupboards because you could not leave anything on the kitchen counters. We also had to ask for garbage bags for the kitchen as there was only 1 provided. We did have a nice stay, however suggestions would be to provide some minimal supplies for renters, i.e. kitchen garbage bags, dishwash liquid (the tiny bottle that was there was almost empty), and ant trap supplies since this is an issue possibly at this time of year.

Home Away from Home

This is a great place to stay. It's across from public docks, in a quiet area, and is close enough to everything. If you want to prepare meals, the home has a nice kitchen with lots of counterpsace, dishes, utensils, and cookware. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. You can catch the sunrise on the deck or catch the trolley on the street to take a ride around the island.
