Howdy from Matagorda!



Our home is a spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath home, located right on the Colorado River just a few minutes to Matagorda Beach! This awesome location is sure to provide you with an excellent experience in our awesome fishing and beach community.



Fish from the pier at the house equipped with fishing lights, or head on over to Matagorda Beach at just 5 minutes away. Or head to town, just over the bridge, for some shopping and/or delicious food. Enjoy the coastal breeze from one of our several outdoor seating areas, or even enjoy a fire in the firepit at night!



The bedroom layout is as follows:



Primary bedroom (entire top floor of home): King bed with en suite full bathroom. There is also a desk workstation in the bedroom, and a private balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy! Just imagine yourself waking up to coffee on the patio, overlooking the water!



Secondary Bedroom #1: Located on the main floor.. the bedroom has a queen bed.



Secondary Bedroom #2: Located on the main floor.. the bedroom has a queen bed and also a twin over twin bunk (with safety rails for children).



The kitchen is stocked with all of the kitchen basics. Including a drip coffee machine.



There is a propane grill available for guests to use. Please bring your own propane tank if you plan to use the grill.



**Please note that the boat lift will not be available for guests from November through January** Please reach out if you have questions about this!

The howdy house is amazing!!!

Our family loves the howdy house! It meets all of our families needs perfectly. The lights on the fishing pier and the extra refrigerator and ice maker are a great bonus! We travel to Matagorda several times a year and always stay at the howdy house.

Always a great stay!

Yes the host was welcoming, amenities that stood out were the lighted fishing pier, ice maker, bait livewell, shop freezer , bathroom downstairs, patio chairs and parking area.

Great Getaway

Such a special spot to live and breath the TX coast. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet but easily accessible spot.

Great house for family with young kids

The house was great for our two families with young kids. The pier has a gate to slow down young ones and plenty of room for them to run around. The hot water heater kept up with 8 people showering after the beach and multiple nice bathrooms, including one in the garage. We loved that all the switches were labeled so there was no guessing which switch to flip. The garage has an extra refrigerator and freezer plus there's a small commercial ice machine.

Property was perfect for our family stay. It was clean, well stocked and as shown in photos. The storage room on ground level with ice maker and the boat lift were especially helpful! Hope to stay again soon!

Perfect Home Away from Home

My husband and I enjoy taking our grandchildren to Matagorda and this is our favorite house to stay in. It fits our group of 6 perfectly and meets all our needs for an amazing vacation. We all enjoy the proximity of the beach and fishing off the pier in the evenings.

I was so out of it I forgot to leave a review. There were a few minor issues, but... it was the perfect accommodation for me. The location, cleanliness, service—everything was great. I plan to go back again in December.

Perfect Home Away from Home

We always enjoy our stay at the Howdy House! It is perfect for our family and fully meets or exceeds all of our expectations. My grandkids love to catch fish off the dock in the evenings and it is a short trip to the sunny beach. The Howdy House is always clean and inviting. We have several more stays at this property scheduled this summer and are truly looking forward to our upcoming visits!

LOVE our stay!

There were three couples that stayed in house. Plenty of room. We each had our own room. The upstairs master bedroom was huge..took up the whole second story floor. If you have littles there is plenty of room for an air mattress in master bedroom. The house was VERY clean..great job to your house keeping team. The house even had a boat lift for your boat, that was the main reason we booked this particular house. Mosquitos were pretty bad, just bring your own pump with Bifen spray. If I had one minor complaint it would be that the grass needed mowed. Great house! We will rent again!!

Spectacular

We chose this one because of the dock and boat lift. We got so much more. The deck, dock and outdoor living spaces were over the top. Very nice and comfortable outdoor furniture. Great fishing amenities and walking distance to bait shop and launch. Ample parking, even with a boat trailer. Five stars.
