Lakeview Chalet - perfect for your getaway

Beautiful rustic-themed home on Lake Michigan minutes from Door County. This can be your base for exploring Door County wineries, breweries, distilleries, lighthouses, or fishing Lake Michigan. Nice big lawn for yard games. Watch the sunrise from the deck with your favorite cup of coffee. This is the retreat of your dreams.

Gas grill for your use. There is no fire pit.

Note: this home sits on a bluff on the lake. No direct lake access.
This is our vacation home that we use and we expect you to treat it with as much respect as we do. This is not a “rental” type property. Thank you for your care.

Main floor: kitchen, dining, living room, bedroom with futon, bath.
Upper level: master bedroom with King, loft bedroom with two twins, bath.
Lower level: family room, bedroom with queen, bath.

A great time in Algoma.

Great view and wonderful homey touches

We had an amazing time at this beautiful lake front chalet. It was even prettier than the pictures. It was very well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay in the area. I can’t wait to rent here again.

Wonderful property, host and location!

Property was amazing! Everything we needed was there and the view was as fantastic! The house was spotless and well cared for! We did venture in to Algoma but was also close to northern Door County to explore there as well! We look forward to booking our next visit there!!

Relaxing retreat

Super clean and everything you would need. Plenty of space for 6-8 guests. The view from the bluff can’t be beat. Beautiful and relaxing!

The house was well stocked with linens and towels. The view was amazing and relaxing.I would recommend the rental .Iwould stay there again.

Beautiful getaway

What a lovely place to stay. Karen was very easy to work with, and made our stay while we got married second to none! I would recommend Karen and give her property ten stars! Perfection at its finest!

Spectacular view

We rented the house for our annual sisters getaway trip. The house was wonderful. It had everything we needed including a spectacular view of Lake Michigan along with a big deck and big yard to view it from.

Great place to stay

While the weather wasn't the best, we enjoyed the home very much. Many pool games were played in the evening. the owner responded quickly to any questions I had after we all arrived and I appreciated that very much. The house is cozy and warm. Loved having a bathroom on each level too. We would stay again.

Door County Get Away

We were looking for a base from which we could explore Door County but not get caught up in the crowds. This home was perfect for us. Lake View Chalet was wonderfully situated giving us a perfect view of Lake Michigan. Rustic, quiet, spotlessly clean and well appointed all made for a great cousins weekend. Thanks!!

Beautiful home and location

Such a beautiful home, property and the View! Wow! Very clean with everything we needed for our stay for 3 nights while in town for a wedding. Our teens enjoyed the pool table. Very comfortable for 7 of us. Will visit again!

Relaxing and peaceful

We chose this property because of the gorgeous lake view and the consistent 5 star reviews. Our stay was rejuvenating and relaxing. We appreciated how clean and well stocked the home is and Karen's generous gift of wine! My husband enjoyed the pool table and we also enjoyed putting together a couple of the puzzles. Staying here was truly a joyful experience!

Beautiful home, beautiful view, great location!

My family and I absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home! We enjoyed the view every moment we could during out stay. We saw deer in the yard several different days. At night, we had fun playing pool. The location is great! We drove to Sturgeon Bay a couple times, and it wasn't a bad drive at all. One of our favorite things was going to the beach, which was so close! We will definitely stay there again next chance we get!!

Weekend with the family!

Our stay at Lakeview Chalet was pleasant. The home is beautiful and well stocked with everything you need. The deck was a beautiful place to bath in the sun and listen to the lake. My father LOVED that part. The town of Algoma is a great place to visit, we found many quiet things to do while we were there.... Make sure you stop and visit Renards Cheese... great wine, fudge, and cheese's there. We would stay again!

Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lakeview Chalet. It's conveniently located. The amenities within the home are great! Thank-you for being so generous with food stuffs and paper products. Not all hosts are as generous. The only down sides, the upstairs was really warm, but there is a ceiling fan and there weren't many teaspoons in the flatware drawer. Just a minor inconvenience.

Perfect in All Ways

Great home that pics don’t show how large the space is. Everything in home was fantastic. Dining area was perfect for 6 easily with room left over. 3 floors that made for a unique feel to each level. Backyard is perfect for games or toss a football. Deck is great for relaxing and taking in the waves of Lake Michigan. Neighboring area has winery, bars, brewery, shops, and food. That’s not including that it’s just a quick 20 minute ride to Sturgeon Bay. Easy access to everything. Can’t miss place to stay. We had two families in the trip. Plenty of space for the 7 of us. Thanks for sharing your home!

Peaceful, tranquil, yet close to everything

The backyard of this home offers such a quiet, serene respite from busy life — what a beautiful, peaceful view! The house itself is deceivingly roomy! Plenty of space -indoors and out- for a family or small group of friends. Very clean with everything needed in a home-away-from-home. We enjoyed the town of Algoma - beach, brewery, winery, Ahnapee bike trail. We ventured further to some of the area’s other harbor towns - Sister Bay, Sturgeon Bay, Jackson’s Port, Bailey’s Harbor, Green Bay. In addition to bicycling, we did some hiking and kyaking, enjoyed a couple of outdoor concerts, and ate at some nice local restaurants. Every evening, we returned to this lovely house to sit on the back deck and watch the water and the boats go by. Every morning, we sat out again as a lovely start to our day. We are grateful for the opportunity to stay here as part of our Wisconsin vacation!
