New Custom Home with Large Decks - Amazing Views - Pool Table/New Hot Tub

NOTE: 4WD/AWD required in winter with snow tires (Thanksgiving through late March). Chains can be rented in the neighborhood for $30/day.

Our 2,700 square foot, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath, custom home is situated on an acre, adjacent to National Forest and just 3 miles from Purgatory Ski Resort .

Only 3 miles from Purgatory Ski Resort and 25 miles from historic downtown Durango, yet the residence offers privacy and seclusion and tons of amenities - pool table, large outdoor space, views, 2 separate living spaces, Direct TV, Gas grill, super fast Starlink WIFI (around 100mbs), washer/dryer.

Bed Configuration:
Master - King with Ensuite Bath (Main Floor)
2nd Master - King with Ensuite Bath (2nd Floor)
3rd Bedroom- Queen (2nd Floor)
4th Bedroom - 2 sets of bunk beds (twin over twin) and 3 beds in one of the bunk beds with TV - (2nd Floor)

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Our family had an amazing time during our stay in this beautiful home. Very clean and organized, it is stocked with everything you could need during your stay. With amazing views, private setting and big deck; it was the perfect space to unplug and relax. The location was also ideal as a base camp for day trips hiking around the Silverton and Durango areas. Management is very responsive, helpful and kind. We had a great time and would come back for sure!

Perfect Family Home

The property was perfect for our group of eight and just as pictured. We enjoyed the hot tub & pool table, and the kitchen was nicely stocked. Our questions were answered quickly and someone was sent out promptly to add water and treat the hot tub. Thank you for letting us stay!

Spring Break!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place! Close to slopes! They aren’t exaggerating when they say 4wheel/chains needed! We made in fine but we have a BIG truck...almost too big for the driveway and parking area next to house with all the snow piled up. House is very clean, very well stocked with pots and pans of every variety. Sweet neighbor dog comes to visit and stare at you thru window and loves to play fetch with tennis balls he brings! Pet hair on pillows in living room made us feel right at home since we didn’t bring our dogs. TV in living room is a little hard to see when sun shining in upper windows and hard to get live tv instead of streaming services on but works well even in snow storm. Definitely enjoyed separate space upstairs for kids and would stay here again if coming to area to ski!

Ski trip

This property suited our needs perfectly. It was also located in the most beautiful area with breathtaking views of the mountains. The house had the best stocked kitchen. The house itself has plenty of space for large groups and the ratio of bedrooms and bathrooms was very accommodating.we would love to return to this property in the future.

Gorgeous house and views

The house was impressively furnished, including well stocked linens and kitchen (cookware, spices, cleaning products). We enjoyed playing pool and used the hot tub a few times, it was very clean! We had to buy cheap beach towels so recommend mgmt buys some for the spa/lake use. We definitely recommend the house to others. It should be noted the gravel/dirt road to the house is fairly narrow and steep. And the gravel driveway could use some finish work, like a paved sidewalk to the porch. There’s no garage, which might be important in winter. Also need a pathway to the back deck from the driveway parking area.

Dallas to Durango trip

We loved sitting out on the deck with the beautiful deck and the space inside was very comfortable. The house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again. It takes about 25 minutes to get into town but it was so nice being away from town before it was cooler up high and so quiet. We would not wasn’t to drive home in the dark. We enjoyed simple dinners at home while eating on the deck with the amazing views.

Wonderful Private Getaway

First, I would like to say that the home is beautifully decorated and the Owners really make it feel like a home (I think the Owners stay there for extended stays). They have great beds, all the kitchen appliances and utensils you would ever need. They have blankets throughout the home, dog bowls to feed an entire kennel, and so many more wonderful touches throughout. We will definitely be looking to book this home when we return for our next family vacation.Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Love this house!!

Best VRBO in Durango! Our group absolutely loved this property. We had a few minor issues, but they were taken care of right away. I was extremely pleased in how fast the property managers got back to me. We will definitely stay again!

December Stay With Family

We had a group of five adults and four teenagers staying the week before Christmas. We absolutely loved the house, and have zero complaints. There was plenty of room for everyone, plenty of towels, and the kitchen was extremely well-stocked (including cute dog bowls for our pups). The property manager was very helpful when we asked for suggestions on where we could go sledding. We will definitely consider this house when we return to the area.

House even had a perfect driveway that allows for sledding. Very close to Purgatory. The house is one of the last ones in the neighborhood so be prepared for it to be alittle difficult to get to on the winter with snow/ice! Overall, could not have asking for a better house for a ski trip.

Beautiful house

A view from every direction - beautiful tall green trees and hummingbirds zipping by. The porch was nice to sit and listen and watch nature - hawks, hummingbirds, robins deer, butterflies, rabbits, woodpeckers etc. with the lake in the background!The house itself had plenty of space for our party of 7. The pool table was frequently enjoyed by us all - and large living room treated us with a family movie night! We were looking for a cabin with the "mountain top" feel but still have access to internet - and 26 Big Pine Trail was a home run! Many wonderful memories made during our stay in Durango.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group of 10/11 (for 2 days) really enjoyed this cabin! There was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was especially nice and roomy which was a plus for us as we tend to cook 2 meals a day at vacation rental properties. The kiddos loved the pool table upstairs. The location was perfect, not directly in town but close enough to enjoy shopping and the rodeo! We took advantage of the discounts they offer through local companies for white water rafting and an ATV tour. Our only complaint that absolutely cannot be helped by VRC was the amount of mosquitoes every night. We would have lovedd to use the deck space more at night for games, but even with citronella candles and coils going, we could not stay outside for long. I personally liked not having to do the long list of "take off the sheets, take all trash to dumpster, sweep floors, etc." upon checking out that most rental companies ask you to do. Check in and out were easy and communication was encouraged by VRC. We had a great stay and will book again with them in the future!
