This hilltop retreat with wrap around deck overlooking mountains offers comfort and privacy. Wood beams and open architecture for extended family and friends offer all the living space you will need for that unforgettable trip to Yosemite. Entire chalet in Midpines with self check-in via lock-box.

30 minutes from arch rock Yosemite gateway, minutes to Merced River canyon, and a stone's throw to public transportation to Yosemite. 10 minutes to Historic Mariposa, boasting restaurants, groceries, entertainment, museums, live music, shops, fairgrounds, parks and recreation.

We loved the location -close to Yosemite .Great items in kitchen and a grill for eating there after hiking all day !We thoroughly loved the outdoor porch with tables, chairs and games !Great beds and accommodations!Highly recommend!!

This place is amazing. Beautiful inside and out. Way more space than the 2 of us needed, but comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Awesome Mountain Chalet

Loved this place! Stayed here to be close to friends in the valley and Yosemite. It did not disappoint. Great view and super relaxing. Loved the wood stove to take the chill off cool mornings. Thank you!!

A perfect stay!

The Mountain View chalet is the perfect place to stay for a Yosemite adventure. It’s a fun drive in to the park and a short drive in to Mariposa, which is an adorable town with some great restaurants (the Happy Goat was our fav!). The owners were extremely easy to communicate with and gave us all check in instructions for our arrival before we got there. The house was immaculately clean. The beds were all very comfortable, including linens. The views from the living room and porch are beautiful. We saw lots of wildlife, including woodpeckers, hummingbirds, turkey, quail and deer from the front porch, it’s a perfect quiet reading spot after a day of hiking in the park. The kitchen is well appointed with great appliances and dishes, etc. We would definitely recommend this home to our family and friends, thanks so much for a wonderful experience.

Great Family Stay

Super clean, roomy, comfortable, beautiful spot from which to get to Yosemite. Great common area and deck to unwind in after hiking all day. Had great family fun with the bball hoop and frisbee

Much needed getaway

Road trip/getaway with friends to Yosemite to relax and take in nature's beauty. The house was perfect for our group with plenty of space, quiet, clean, and beautiful views of the forest. Hosts Laura and Robert were very accomodating and responsive to any questions and gave excellent recommendations for dinner in the area. We had a nice dinner at Savoury's in Mariposa. Yosemite was only an hour drive up Hwy 140, gorgeous views of the Merced river along the way, and the sights in Yosemite exceeded our expectations. Would stay here again in the future. questions

Stay in Midpines

There are beautiful views to enjoy from this house. I love the amount of room and cleanliness of the house. A short drive to Mariposa where my niece owns a restaurant or Yosemite Valley. Look forward to staying there again.

Great getaway!

This was a lovely home with an enormous view over the mountains. Nice wood-burning stove with plenty of firewood, cozy sofas, great TV, and good proximity to Yosemite and to tasty restaurants in Mariposa. It would be a great family place.

Great Place to Stay for Visiting Yosemite

We booked Mountain View based on its proximity to Yosemite Valley, and it was a great choice. The house is well kept and well stocked with necessities; it felt more like a house than full-time rental. The check-in/out process was easy to understand and went smoothly.

Secluded, quiet, close to Yosemite

If you want to get away from it all, this is for you. Well-stocked, clean, and an extremely-responsive host. A great place to expand and relax. Highly recommend!

For those travelling with adult children or couples this is good place to stay near YOSEMITE.

Saw mule deer, wild turkey with babies following it, and wild pheasants in the early morning on the property. Mariposa is not far for good restaurants. Comfortable.

Extremely Considerate Host

My wife loved the cabin and was very grateful for the thoughtful labeling and supplies provided within the kitchen. We truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the ACs in each room after coming home from a long day in Yosemite.

Absolutely Wonderful! Plus a great view!

This place was a really lovely place to stay and the magnificent windows gave us such nice views to enjoy during breakfast! The cabin is so pretty, very comfortable, and the additional playground set in the backyard gave me some lovely memories with my niece and nephew. The hosts are very responsive and everything was very easy to figure out, thanks to their great help! I highly recommend this place and would definitely come here again!

Homebase for Yosemite

The cabin is located well for a visit to Yosemite. The home itself is basic. In fact, it's a bit of a missed opportunity to have a spectacular place. Although it's well equipped, it's furnished with old unmatched and cheap furniture. The bed was comfortable, but the bedding was cheap. The sofa is old, worn and uncomfortable. I was surprised when the footrest popped up and caught my leg. Artwork looked like garage sale items, and nothing matches. The view was very nice, and the deck was good place to sit and look around the landscape. Overall a mixed bag. I thought it was too expensive for the quality of the cabin and furnishings.

This house is beautiful! It was very cleaned and well stocked. We loved coming back to the house to cook and relax after each day of hiking. It was a great find for my family!
