This was one of the best stocked rentals I have ever stayed at. The owner was just a call a way if you needed anything. Beautiful location doesn't even do it justice. We did a horse ride on the property that was fantastic. Our two year old was in heaven with all the toys to play with. We even got a safe travel text right we left. We will definitely miss the amazing farm dog Harper. We will definitely be planning a trip back in the future.

Our stay at the Aspen Cabin was great. I had family come from the UK and they wanted the American West experience and they got it. It was a little bit of a drive on a dirt road but it was so scenic we didn’t mind it. We booked horseback riding and just had to walk down the hill. Prompt communication with the host and we had everything we needed.

Absolutely AMAZING cabin and hosts!! The cabin itself is beautiful, comfortable beds, nicely stocked with dishes, coffee maker, dishwasher. Harper the host dog was definitely a high point for us as animal lovers, she made sure to give us some doggie love daily! Will definitely be back in the future! 10 Stars!!

We incrementally gathered family at this lovely large ranch setting, with quiet welcoming, and the great outdoors! Stacy, her sons, and her wranglers were graciously welcoming hosts, immediately responsive to needs, while letting us do what our family needed to do! Rest up, Bar-b-q together, play volleyball, guided horseback ride and a hike to the local peak for a 360 view (plus a drive to whitewater raft and zipline) Marvelous! All off the grid, beautiful, remote, memorable! A fantastic, enjoyable family precursor week for us to Yellowstone!

Perfect Location

Close proximity to Gardiner and Yellowstone. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Beautiful location and very nice host. Enjoyed daily walks from the cabin and Harper the dog was a perfect companion.

Tranquil

If you like it a bit off the grid, no WIFI, no cell, no road noise, this is the place. Very scenic and peaceful.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in this Cabin. The Cabin was very clean, well stocked, and spacious, and the surrounding view was breathtaking. Our party enjoyed having evening dinners on the back porch and stargazing after the sun went down. We spent a lot of time in Yellowstone Park, and also went on a rafting trip with Montana Whitewater which located about 25 minutes away.This area is quite close to the North entrance of Yellowstone - around a 30 minute drive - and is accessible by a gravel/dirt road which our rental cars had no problems handling.
Stars we could watch with just the naked eye!
Exposure of the Milkyway with a regular digital camera and tripod! We had never seen stars so brilliant.

Family Outing

We were very pleased with our stay at the Aspen Cabin. It was clean, well appointed and the host was friendly. The only reason why i didnt give a 5 star overall is the road condition going to the cabin. Probably because of the amount of rain when we were there.

Perfect hideaway

We loved the out of the way house, but still close to Yellowstone. We had all the privacy we wanted but still had our hosts nearby to visit on the porch and offer up recommendations for adventures each day. We really loved the visits from the hosts' big, friendly pup and we lived rolling the windows down on our way up and down the looong driveway to listen to the beautiful stream. The kids had a blast hiking up the mountains on the property.

We loved it! I could have easily stayed all summer.

Quiet and beautiful. It was easy to get to the Park, however staying on the property was better than the Park.. i found a place by the crerk to sit with my feet in the water. This was so good for me. Thanks Stacy. Thanks zHarper!

This was absolutely amazing. No cell service, wifi, internet, or TV (other than DVDs). Beautiful ranch. Got to unplug from the world. Would definitely stay here again.

Scenic and peaceful

This is our 2nd time staying here. We stayed with our grown children and their spouses in 2020. We loved it so much we decided to bring both sets of parents back. They loved it as much as us. We saw wildlife every day while there. It’s the perfect location to visit Yellowstone. We unplugged and enjoyed each other so much!

Aspen Cabin Heaven

It makes you never want to go home. Although we came to see all of YNP sometimes we just wanted to hang out at the cabin, coffee or cocktails on the porch and watching the kids play ball and frisbee in the yard and pretend like we never had to leave. It rained a little almost every day but we got to have all the adventures we came for and were always anxious to get back up the mountain to our "home".

The property was great and very relaxing. It is very clear in the description that there is no washing machine so it wasn't a suprise. I would just say that to have a cabin that sleeps 10 people for almost a week it would make it so much better to have a washing machine on the property. It takes away from the overall experience to have to take time out of our vacation to do laundry in a town 30 minutes away. This is the only issue we had with the property.

The cabin was cozy and is on a historic ranch. We knew it was located 4.8 miles up a mountain on an unfinished road which adds 15 minutes. The road was decent and worth it for us as we were looking forward to solitude amidst Yellowstone scenery. However, the pictures currently in the listing do not show the newer, very large house with an extra building, UTVs and trucks parked across the property, etc. - unexpected and disappointing as otherwise the back porch view is stunning. We spotted the horses and a couple of elk on two mornings. The cabin itself needs some TLC such as replacement of the scratched teflon pans, broken drawers fixed, electrical attention, and could benefit from a grading of the final driveway. The owner was terrific in communicating and was willing to accommodate us when we had a car problem, even answering the phone while she was on a plane! Overall this was much better than staying in the town of Gardiner while being convenient to the town and north entrance of Yellowstone.
