Our house has been beautifully renovated and redecorated throughout - hickory hardwood floors (carpeting in the bedrooms), 3 kings size beds, 1 queen, and one single over double log style bunk bed, 1 full size pullout couch, extra futons for sleeping on the floor, fully equipped kitchen, game room with full size full size air hockey table, foosball table, hot tub, garage, double entry flat driveway, front and back decks, designer furnishings and Italian pottery, two fireplaces, kid-friendly bedroom, and large family room/playroom with tons of toys and costumes. It is an extremely child-friendly home with an ideal setup for multiple families and friends. The bedrooms are divided up (three upstairs, two downstairs) to provide a maximum amount of privacy between the two floors.

Our family vacation home is part of the Tahoe Donner community which includes access to the recreation facilities (gym, pools, Jacuzzis, snow sledding area, children’s play areas, private beach at Donner Lake).

We have made a tremendous effort to keep our fixed costs low and to pass on the savings to our renters. We have invested in eco friendly appliances and have gone GREEN where ever possible, and hope that our renters will participate in our efforts by turning down the heat, using less electricity etc in order for us to maintain our reduced rates.

Please Note* We are a pet friendly home. We make every effort to thoroughly clean between guests, but some dog hair can sneak by.

We are 3.5 miles to Tahoe Donner downhill ski area, 3 miles to the Beach Club, 2 miles to Trout Creek Rec Center, 11 miles to Northstar and 13 miles to Squaw Valley.

Here is a detailed description of the house and its layout that we have provided for renters that can be helpful for their vacation planning:

The house is an ideal multi-family house and was designed with kids in mind. My sister and I co-own the house and we have 5 children between our two families so the place is equipped from baby age up to teen (Pac n Play, clip on high chair, lots of toys, costumes and kids dvd’s, air hockey table, foosball table, snow play area etc). It was also recently redecorated and looks fantastic.

The layout of the house is as follows… outside is semi-circular driveway that fits about 6 – 8 cars depending on snow levels in the winter, two car garage, easiest entry is through garage door into downstairs.

Downstairs level has the playroom with a couch (pullout sleeper), tv with dvd/satellite, toys, costumes, and books, two bedrooms (one king size bed, one queen size bed) and bathroom with shower over tub. The games room with a full sized air hockey table, fuzzball table, dart board, etc is also on this level.

Upstairs level has livingroom/diningroom/kitchen as one big area (65 inch flat-screen smart tv/satelitte/dvd/receiver/gaming hook ups!!) with large deck off of front with big gas BBQ (kids can play in snow on deck), dining room table that extends and can easily sit 16 or more, three bedrooms (master bedroom with king size bed and bathroom, second bedroom with king size bed, third bedroom with twin over full bunkbed), large guest bathroom with shower over tub and washer/dryer in closeted alcove. Master bedroom has smart tv and bunk bed bedroom has tv/vhs (old school). Private hot tub is outside in the backyard just behind the house.

The house is heated centrally and also has two gas fireplaces – one in family room, one in living room and additional individual room heaters for bedrooms as needed. Kitchen is fully equipped, as we love to cook and we are always disappointed when we go to a vacation rental and the kitchen is poorly furnished. House is furnished with high speed wireless internet, lots of dvd’s, videos, books, toys, costumes, and games.

Depending on the age and desired sleeping arrangements for families with children, kids are usually happiest in the bunkbed bedroom. There are also multiple additional futon mattresses stored in the downstairs bedroom closet that can be used to sleep kids on the floors – either in the bunkbed bedroom or in their parents’ rooms. Kids can also sleep on the floor of the family room dormitory style (best for older kids). The advantage to having the house divided up onto two floors is that it allows for a greater amount of privacy and noise control.

In the winter there are plenty of snow play areas around the house (depending on snow levels) including the front porch, sides and back of house, and kids can build small sled runs onto the driveway in front. Our kids will even sled down the street with a parent pulling the sled if it's icy enough.

In addition to all of the fun things available at the house you have access to the Tahoe Donner Association amenities (rec center, swimming pools, gym, spas and saunas, equestrian center, private beach at Donner Lake, snow play area with sled/inner tubes, downhill and cross country ski resorts…). You will need to take the passes in the kitchen and pay a daily access fee.

Due to issues with parties and the disturbance of our neighbors, we use a 100% privacy compliant decibel meter on the property. Tampering with or disabling is prohibited and will result in security deposit loss.

*In an effort to adapt to the changing environment, rentals made during Covid that are subject to cancellation (outside of normal cancellation window) due solely to state or local regulations will be offered alternate future dates at our discretion.

Please note that we do not refund for inclement weather or air quality. Road closures or weather conditions are not an acceptable reason for cancellation. Please consider purchasing vacation insurance If you are concerned about cancellation due to the possible above issues.

Please watch weather conditions and plan your departure accordingly. If road closures or inclement weather hinder your departure, you will be responsible for the cost of the additional night(s), assuming that we are are able to accommodate you.

Tahoe Donner Amenity Access (Important Info for Guests)
Our home is located in Tahoe Donner. As a short-term tenant, you have access to Tahoe Donner’s public amenities (Downhill Ski Lodge, Cross Country Ski Center, Snowplay) during your stay. Access to Tahoe Donner’s private amenities (Beach Club Marina, Trout Creek Recreation Center, Northwoods Pool, and the Tennis + Pickleball Center) requires a valid Short-Term Tenant Card and Daily Access Fees at the time of entry. This property includes 6 cards for use during your stay.
One Short-Term Tenant Card is required per person, ages 3+ (per day).
Short-term tenants with valid Short-Term Tenant Cards must pay Daily Access Fees to enter private amenities.
Blackout dates apply during select peak/holiday periods for private amenities, at which time, Short-Term Tenant Cards are not eligible for private amenity access. The 2026 blackout dates include:

Nov 26-29
Dec 24-Jan 3, 2027
