Special Fall Single Family Beach House "Retrouvaille" on NC Southern Outer Banks

Please consider the May 15-22, 2021 review a bogus one. Contacted by the owner on arrival, these renters were instructed to notify me with any issues. No contact was made the entire week. NOTE: For consideration of all renters, Retrouvaille does not allow pets. Standing by this policy most likely angered these renters. Hence the vengeful review. • Retrouvaille beach house photographs are current and authentic. • There is no basement. • The outdoor, porch hammock faces the ocean; it is subjected to sun and salt spray. The hammock is washed and replaced when needed. It is not bug infested. • The house has been deeply cleaned multiple times in the last month to ensure it meets exceptional standards for the 2021 summer rental season. • Previous renters give Retrouvaille rave reviews and 5 stars. • No one had been in the house since the last deep clean service. Floors could not be "filthy", particularly after a deep clean. • The professional housekeeping service specifically uses a mold preventative on the ground level. • The whole house de-humification system was just serviced. • The crib, though not brand new, is thoroughly cleaned and maintained. This includes the seldomly-used crib mattress. • As stated on the VRBO website, new living room furniture was ordered in December 2020. Unfortunately, due to COVID manufacturing delays, the furniture will not be delivered until July. In the interim, clean comforters cover the flaking (but thoroughly inviting and comfortable) vinyl leather couches and chairs. • Furniture is cleaned routinely; this includes Pest Control service inspections. • I had my Pest Control service inspect (NO pests were found!) and perform a preventative treatment of the furniture and hammock. • Pollen has been unusually heavy this year. This season, Housekeeping Service will repeat a thorough cleaning of the Pollywood deck furniture as needed. We are sincerely committed to maintaining a Top-Quality rating for Retrouvaille and, most importantly, meeting our goal of customer satisfaction. I assure my guests that I am accessible; notification of any deficiency is addressed promptly.

We provide a Large Keurig coffee maker (which is in perfect working order) And a drip coffee maker (which we ensured works also). We purposely use Wooden Slider locking mechanisms as when in-place they prevent physical opening if someone attempts to enter. Our upstairs Master Bedroom shower is Handicap-friendly and complimented with an adjacent large Jacuzzi tub. We require the Large BBQ Grill to be cleaned by each Guest prior to departure or they forfeit a portion of their deposit to pay for it to be cleaned. We work hard to not interfere with our Guests so they can Enjoy their Vacation uninterrupted but we do have to coordinate minor maintenance items when required for quality upkeep for all our Guest's Satisfaction.
