Welcome to the historic Homestead at the Dripping Springs. This house is one of three available lodgings each of the three dwellings are unique to their time period, style and setting. Clara's House and Butler Cabin are all part of the Homestead at the Dripping Springs and can be reserved at the same time to sleep a total of 8 people.
They are centrally located in the Historic Mercer Street District of Dripping Springs, close to shops, wedding venues, wine trails, parks and beautiful country roads.

The newest addition to the Homestead is Willie Mae's Cottage. It is a rock and board/batten cottage with a tiled walk-in shower, large bathroom, kitchenette and breakfast nook that looks out on the large oak tree and swing. The stone used to complete the cottage was furnished from the original smokehouse on the historic property. This romantic cottage is furnished with period antiques and re-purposed wood from the community. Large side porch with rockers that overlook historic corral and ancient oak tree.

Includes free continental breakfast, flat-screen TV, WIFI, queen-sized bed, hairdryer, and a snack basket full of goodies.

Weekend in Dripping Springs

This seems to be one of the bigger cabins available on the property...which is lovely btw...huge oak tree to sit under and a path to the spring's stream and a natural grotto. The full size bed was comfortable, recommend bringing pillows. The breads for breakfast were pumpkin and blueberry...and yummy. There's a nice table for four or more...we had friends over to play cards...a great time was had by all

Charming and very comfortable

The space was perfect for me. I needed a place to journal, reflect and rest and the cottage was perfect. Comfortable and the breads and fruit were delish and a really nice touch.

Great little cottage in the heart of dripping springs

The property was very nice and comfortable. The outside was inviting to sit and relax but yet you were located in the heart of town.

Delightful Stay and Charming Cabins

Very well kept, appointed and easy. Everything was as expected and very charming. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch and the grounds. Dry stone wall gardens were a treat. Love the history. Thank you very much

Charming Cottage

Willie Mae’s cottage is absolutely charming. Convenient location with cute little downtown just steps away. Wonderful scenery nestled in the trees. Would definitely come back if down in Dripping Springs! Lovely! Thanks to the hosts for the baked bread and food! Had everything we needed!

great getaway weekend

Great clean cottage and lots of space. Overall a good experience but was a little surprised at the noise level from the Saturday night happenings close by in the small downtown area. I'm a light sleeper though, so can't really say it was anything close to a bad experience. The breakfast breads were delicious!

Willie Mae's Cottage

This is an absolute gem in the downtown area of Dripping Springs. Willie Mae's Cottage is constructed from the stones of the old smokehouse from this historical property, with a pine barrel dome ceiling and charming antique decor. The little porch looks out over the old stone corral with a huge oak tree. Explore the springs on the opposite side of the property and all of the downtown shops! The owner/ managers are absolutely the most lovely people you could meet! This was my second stay here and I will return!

Granddaughters Wedding

Perfect little cabin, great bed, nice continental breakfast( the homemade cakes were excellent) Our granddaughters wedding was only 7 miles an away,so very convenient. Thanks for making this a great weekend!

Great experience

The cottage had everything we needed from drinks and snacks to toothpaste. The best place we have stayed at in Dripping Springs. The grounds were beautiful and the location was perfect. We will definitely stay here again. Very comfortable accommodations.

Beautiful little spot in Dripping Springs

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this sweet cottage and will be back if we are in the area. The outdoor space was especially nice. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and down in the yard.

A getaway great spot!

Right on Mercer Street walking distance to good food, adult beverages and shopping. Great location for surrounding things to do in area. House has sound machine which was a plus. Nice breakfast basket for stay, fruit and breakfast bread banana nut and blueberry yum.

Great hospitality

Appreciated the breakfast bread and accommodations were clean and lovely. Felt as comfortable as being home. The hosts are so thoughtful in providing amenities and the cottage was cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway. Great location, too!

Everything you need is furnished. peaceful and yet close to restaurants and old time shopping center. TV and wifi were furnished and worked well. Highly recommend.

Family wedding

We found it to be very clean, well maintained and hospitable. Happy to have chosen Willie Mae’s cottage rather than a hotel chain! Would most certainly return if the opportunity presents itself.
