We loved our time here at Jamie’s place! Very family friendly with a great bunk bed room and huge back yard. Loved the fairly short walk to the beach and Jamie was very easy and kind to work with overall. A lovely summertime experience!

Host was very responsive. Great location great space. The old wood floors had great character but were very loud when trying to sleep.

Enjoyed our time. The walk to the beach and down the walkway is mostly shaded and goes quicker than expected. Went everyday with our dog. Beach shoreline is beyond what the eye can see. Made for a beautiful ocean-like view and the option to walk the long shoreline of semi-private beaches. Not quite busy season so had the beach mostly to ourselves, especially at 9am or past 6pm.Comfortable furniture to rest and lounge. Short drive to local restaurants and neighboring towns. House and yard is more spacious than expected. Excellent communication.Recommend Roadhouse, Roundbarn tasting room, and New Buffalo.

Cute cottage, great location & beach

Two couples & 3 kids stayed for a long weekend. Loved the big backyard (especially the swing set), comfy couches and a quick walk to a beautiful beach.

Wonderful stay in Lakeside

We loved staying at this home in Lakeside. The living area was very spacious - two living spaces, screened in porch, and outdoor patio. It was also clean and comfortable. Our kids loved running around in the backyard and walking to the beach!

Cute home with beach access!

5 minute walk to a beach with only guest access! We really enjoyed our stay. Big house with a lot of room for kids to have space. Definitely recommend!

Amazing private beach access

Our family stayed here in August. The location was amazing, just a short 10 min walk to the private beach which was much larger than expected with not a lot of people. It’s also close to cute restaurants and coffee shops (Whistle Stop) and a short ride to downtown New Buffalo. The house was spacious and cottage like and perfect for our stay!

Location is grewat

We loved being able to walk to the beach easily as well as have the swing set to play on for our son. The amount of space was perfect for us.

Lovely Long Weekend

Property was clean, well maintained, a quick walk to the beach, and perfect for our two families to spend a holiday weekend together. The host was even able and willing to accomodate a last minute date change. We would love to return!

This is a wonderful and cozy beach house with plenty of living space! Large kitchen and living room plus TV room. The outside decks are awesome, plus a cute sunroom. Very comfortable mattresses. With just a 5 minute walk to the beach entrance, we spent most days there enjoying Lake Michigan. Lakeside is a great area with a lot to offer and this house is a great place to stay.

Awesome House

We enjoyed our stay here with our Pomeranian! beautiful sunsets, private beach where we had fires every night. The house was clean and well equipped with a chef's kitchen Outdoor shower, too. Highly recommend for larger group or just a few.

Very nice

We enjoyed our stay the week of Thanksgiving. Nice layout, very comfortable. A little closer to Red Arrow, but no noise. Enjoyed the wood burning stove and the open kitchen. Thanks!

The property is not as described. The photos look much better than the property is in reality. Cleanliness was an issue. The oven is not clean, the grill is not clean. We even found a paper towel with a blood spot under the coffee table. No top sheet on the bunk beds. We had ants everywhere, the kitchen, kitchen counters, island, in our food, climbing on our leg while sitting in the living room chair, and climbing on the back of the couch behind our head. We almost left early due to the ant issue. We advised the property manager of the ant issue and the response was they would take care of it right away. However, we did not receive assistance during our stay.

Renters alerted us about ants hours before leaving, we treat for ants regularly and no renters before or after have noted this. Perhaps this renter left food out and was not cleaning up. We do have a rural cottage, so insects are all around us. Photos of property were professionally taken within last year so there is no difference between photos and reality. Of course you can see all other reviews!

Pros-House was cute and comfortable, plenty of living spaces with two sitting rooms and a sun room, beach access was easy and private, yard was secluded and privateCons-Grill was completely shot and unusable, cookware could be upgraded, house needs a deep cleaning, most of the games were missing pieces, we found five unlocked windows and the door was wide open when we arrived

Great Neighborhood and Home

This is our favorite neighborhood in the Sawyer/St. Joe/New Buffalo area, hands down! The beach is never too busy, the walk to the beach is quick and easy, and on a whole, the neighborhood is quiet. This house was perfectly suited for our needs, with ample bedroom space for my family of five as well as my parents and our dog, a swingset in the backyard, and good living spaces. The only thing I'd change would be the sheets, as the ones on our bed were quite pilly and rough, but that's an easy fix! We would absolutely stay here again!

This house is located in a perfect spot. Walking distance from the private beach. The surrounding area is also very cute. We took a walk before dinner and looked at all of the cute homes and saw some wild life (two deer and a few bunnies). Jamie was very responsive when I messaged her through the VRBO which I appreciate. The second bathroom is the size of a closet which was not ideal, but we managed. The door with the code is in the back, and the area between the front entrance and the back entrance was very swampy, so we had to slide between the trees and our second car to get to the back door. That was not ideal. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and Jamie was a great hostess!

We really enjoyed this property for a family vacation. The house was as pictured and clean. The location is only about a 5 minute walk to a private beach. The kids really enjoyed the playground in the backyard. The kitchen is well stocked.
