The house was the quintessential beach cottage. Easy access to the easement down to the beach. Quiet yard and the space outside was large. The screened in porch was nice to eat on. The kids loved it all.

Wonderful stay and location

We had the best time and the host was very nice! The home was clean and stocked well with extra stuff. The beach was beautiful. We can't wait to come back!

Great home, great location

This home is extremely well-appointed and comfortable. The large lawn/garden is perfect for kids & family. The beach is perfect.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay! Plenty of space for a large family. Everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable was provided. We will definitely consider returning.

Perfect combination of beach access and privacy

It’s hard to find somewhere with both private beach access and a private backyard but this rental managed both. Beach is very nice and the winner of the weekend was the screened in gazebo with plenty of seating. Would definitely rent again!

Our week at Breezy Lane was delightful. It was spacious with plenty of room for our 4 adult children to spread out. We enjoyed the outdoor screened in porch and the large yard for games, as well as the fire pit. It was a short walk to and from the beach, and the access point was right across from the driveway. It had everything we could ask for in a home away from home for a bit.

Secluded property with beach access

The secluded property offers great privacy being outside grilling or by the fire. The beach is only a short walk across the street and down some stairs. Easy check in and check out with good communication from owner. Would definitely recommend.

Family vacation

We had a fantastic time! The kids and grandkids had a blast at the beach. We enjoyed the large and private yard and used the fire pit nightly for smores. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of towels for our family of 13. We would absolutely return for another stay! Thank you!!!!

Wonderful Lake House

Lovely yard with lots of trees. Private outdoor shower was a wonderful addition to the 2 bathrooms. Easy access to beautiful beach. Very clean and well air conditioned house. Everyone especially liked the detatched screened porch and the live deer in the yard. We are already booked for next year!

Annual family vacation

My family and I have been vacationing together in Union Pier for 30+ years. Last year, we had to find a new cottage to stay in after our former cottage we rented burned down. We could not have been happier to find Breezy Lane and it fits our family so well. We’ve had a great two years here and we look forward to (hopefully) many future years renting here and making many more years of memories as a family!

Perfect for a friends weekend!!

We (13 women in our thirties) had the best weekend here!! The house had everything we needed: perfect number of clean, comfortable bedrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, an INCREDIBLE location just 3 minutes walking from the beautiful private beach, so many beach towels, a large main area for hanging out, a grill, an outdoor shower (we loved it!!!), the cutest screened in gazebo where we ate meals and a huge yard! It was so clean and nice but still has lots of character and coziness. Peg was very responsive and answered all my questions and check in and out were super easy. Would love to come back and stay for longer!!

Family Beach Vacation

We stayed with my sister and my Aunt and all of the cousins ages 3-9. We loved the house. Lots of space and the layout was perfect for putting the kids to bed earlier and be able to visit in the living room and kitchen area.The walk to the beach was a bit far for my elderly Aunt. She was able to do it but it took some time. We had a wonderful time and would come back again.

Amazing!

My family and I have been vacationing in Union Pier every year for the last 30+ years and it’s always our favorite week of the year. Unfortunately, the house that we had been renting had a fire and no longer does rentals. We are so fortunate and happy that we found this place for our family as it was absolutely perfect! The bedrooms, huge yard, screened in porch, and short walk to the beach was amazing for our group of young kiddos to adults. Plus, it was dog friendly and our dog had a blast! We already rented it for next year and cannot wait to come again. We hope to call this place “home” one week per year for many years to come!

June 2019

The power went out for majority of a day due to a squirrel. Owner was available for help and tried to arrange for power company to get power restored. The drive was extremely muddy due to frequent rains and we had to unload the car through mud puddles. Otherwise the property worked wonderfully for our large family!

It was such an unfortunate and freak issue with the squirrel and wish you had not had that experience. We are also all challenged with extra rain this spring. We have ordered additional gravel for the driveway. I’m glad you enjoyed the rest of your time and that our home accommodated your family so nicely. Would love to host you again. Peg

Communication with the owner was ok. Pros:The accomadations for our family of 14 was adequate. The house was clean, well stocked with TP, pots pans, dishes, soaps and the like. Bed were clean and comfortable. The house was decorated nicely. The screened in porch was a plus- clean with adequate furniture. AC worked properly. Cons:The washrooms had no locks on the doors ( as a family we made do without locks)The front entrance to the house was a mess, so to was the back deck leading to the screeened in porch, which made no sence since the screened in porch was such a nice touch. Honestly for the cost of the 5 day stay, we all felt that the owners could do with a much needed clean up of the front and back yard . Why is the grill on the side of the house that is hardly used? 60 steps going down to the beach area is a bit much for older adults. Overgrown bushes by the parking area as well as around the perimeter of the house made for very poor curb appeal, not anything like the pictures on VRBO. As a whole, we enjoyed our stay but felt for the money the outside should be kep cleaner.

A lot of space

The living/dining room was bigger than I expected. The kitchen was well stocked, lots of dishes and I liked the filtered water dispenser at the sink. The bathrooms worked well but not the best remodeling. The house goes on and on! A nice bedroom of the living room that I didn't even see at first, 2 more just past the bathrooms, then a door with a hallway and 3 more bedrooms! The bedding was very clean and plenty of pillows. The screened porch is the best room of the house! Large table, hammock and porch swing. The fire pit had plenty of chairs and a storage bin to keep wood dry. Deer came to visit the yard every morning and evening. The locked gate to the beach is very close and there are tons of gate keys on lanyards. 67 steps down to the bottom and then a bit more hill down to the beach. The beach chairs were very nice. Glad they are kept in a nice storage bin at the bottom of the steps with nice umbrellas, too. There were a couple of kayaks laying there but no paddles to be seen. Only negative I'd say is not much in the way of games and toys. The house is comfortable and functional, but not fancy. Worked great for our 8 people.

We loved our stay at Breezy Lane! We had previously spent our time at Union Pier in a Bed and Breakfast which was great for just the two of us but we needed more room for two kids and a dog this go 'round. We found Breezy Lane to be a perfect fit. We had plenty of room to hang out outside. The screened in porch with a hammock and large dining table was especially lovely for dinner one evening. A/C and laundry made everything easy. Private beach access was very close by and we loved the extra chairs stored there. The living room hosted several family night games and the kitchen had more than enough to make up for things we forgot to bring. All bedrooms were clean and cozy. Directions for check in and out were clear as were instructions for appliances and beach access. We especially loved the personal touches and art. It felt warm and welcoming.

Our extended family had an amazing trip to Breezy Lane. The walk to the beach was around 5-7 minutes with our little kids and beach items. There were around 70 steps to the beach. The home was clean and the outside space was wonderful to spread out and play. The house had everything we needed and more. Communication with the host was fast and efficient. We look forward to coming back again!

We just got home from our family trip at Breezy Lane and I knew I wanted to sit down and write this review. It was a perfect home for our family - my 4 adult children with their spouses and kids. 6 bedrooms were the perfect fit. So many generous touches: bathrooms fully stocked with TP and towels, beach towels aplenty, ziplock baggies, dish soap, coffee filters, foil, all the things you would have at home. How many rental homes have forced you to scramble for simple items upon arrival? We were grateful for this feature. We cooked almost every night (bbq a few times) and had the intensils and pans we needed. We had plenty of rain so the screened in porch was so special, with candles and charming hanging lights. The big living room was comfortable for everyone to hang out. We lost power once in a storm but headed out to go bowling and have dinner and the power was back on when we came back. Bathroom doors had no locks - I had worried about that - but a system evolved immediately that if the door was closed, it's occupied. Beach access was a bit much for my 8-month pregnant daughter (lots of stairs and a robust sandy incline) but she was a trooper. Even the 3 yr old was an ace. We went to the beach as much as we could. Chairs at the beach ready to use in a plastic shed was perfect. We loved it. What a wonderful place.

Excellent stay!

We were thrilled with this lovely rental. So many pros: ample space, both indoor and outdoor, to comfortably house our group of 13; love the screened in porch, yard is huge for lawn games, beach was gorgeous, well stocked kitchen and a homey versus “show place” rental where I’d be a nervous wreck worrying if the grandkids would break something. Communication with our host was outstanding. My family and I can’t wait to stay here again:)
