Upper Timberline Family Retreat

1700 sq ft custom craftsman cabin with easy access to all local amenities. Great for families and small groups.

Our cabin is nestled in the trees between the town of Packwood and White Pass Ski Resort.

Enjoy 3 covered decks, two upper and one lower, and a covered front porch

There are electric heaters throughout the cabin, but if you prefer there is also plenty of wood within arms reach in an under stair storage closet to stock the woodstove and keep things really toasty.

A large game room upstairs has a ping pong/pool table, and large screen TV.

The cabin has an wonderful cedar interior with spalted maple cabinets and live edge counters

The soaring ceilings, exposed beams, and large windows looking out toward Mt. Rainier National Forest, all help you to relax and enjoy the natural beauty around you.

Wherever you stay, we hope you enjoy your Packwood area getaway.

Great place to stay while visiting Mount Rainier

We loved our stay! For us it was a retreat after big hikes in a beautiful park we loved coming back to this great place that had everything and was so comfortable! We even saw an elk out back while sitting on the deck! It is conveniently close to town for great food too! Thanks for the great stay!

CozybCabin perfect for a reading weekend

The owner is very organized and clean and the space had a wonderful cabin and Forest Animal feel. We really enjoyed using the wood stove and the views from the porches

Fantastic Cozy Cabin!!

This is one of the best rentals we’ve stayed in in the Packwood/White Pass area! Very clean & cozy. Obviously we liked the pictures but it was even better than the pictures! And the layout was perfect. Kitchen was very well stocked & we loved the added touch of all the Holiday decorations & dishes! It made our post Christmas ski getaway that much better! Looking forward to returning!

great place - comfortable and fun

we loved staying there..cosy places to curl up together and watch tv, stare off the deck, or play ping pong and pool. Very close to hiking and snow sports!

Tranquil and spacious cabin, excellent location!

We enjoyed this house so much! It was spacious, comfortable and clean, and it had absolutely everything we needed. Located just outside the small town of Packwood, we had easy access to a handful of good restaurants and amenities. I can’t wait to take my kids next time! They will love the “bunkhouse” bedroom and game room.

Great location

Property was great and the location yo the park was excellent. Only about a 45 min drive to park entrance. Good grocery store in packwood and good places to eat. Highly recommend this property.

Great stay close to Rainier

Packwood doesn’t have many dining options, so it was great to have a well appointed kitchen. Loved the ping pong table. Floors are very creaky, so tread lightly at night. Incredibly clean. View from back deck is lovely.

This place was excellent! It was nicer than the photos show. Great location, very clean and comfortable. Stocked with everything we needed to cook. Fun ping pong and pool table.

Amazing Time

We had an incredible time! Cherie was a great host with a thoroughly detailed welcome packet, including some really great hiking trails throughout the Packwood area. Definitely plan on making a return trip back!

Great house and location!

Came here with our kids for a weekend of skiing. Quick access to both White Pass and Packwood. Very comfortable cabin for the whole family and it had everything we needed for our stay. Communication with Cherie was seamless, as was check-in/check-out process. We can't wait to return for another ski weekend!

Great layout for parents and teens

House is very well equipped, comfortable and in a quiet location. Overall loved our stay but if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs because the wood floors, which are lovely, are a bit squeaky.

Quintessential log cabin

The place was even better than the photos and smelled fantastic. Loved the high ceilings. Everything was simple to find and use. The provided ear plugs were thoughtful since the wood floors are authentic and did creak a bit. Would love to stay again soon!

Beautiful cabin near Mt. Rainier

One of the nicest VRBO's we have stayed at. The cabin is beautiful and very well equipped, including the kitchen. Nice, private view of the surrounding forest and smaller mountains/hills. We enjoyed the ping pong/pool table upstairs. Very convenient location, only 10-15 minute drive to the Ohanapecosh Visitor Center and the Silver Falls Loop Trail. Hope to return to explore more of Mt. Rainier.

The house has everything one would need to prepare gourmet meals, including a nice gas barbecue. The decorations were charming and the wood stove created a warm ambiance. We played booth billiards and ping pong. Although there were just two of us it would be comfortable for a group of 5-6 people. We will definitely stay again.
