Crows Nest

The house was above the Hook and Harvey restaurant, but it was a very nice place and very clean. There was a golf cart that we could rent.

GREAT VACATION

Great place to stay and enjoy the sunsets. We were close enough to downtown Cape Charles to enjoy what the town has to offer but a quieter spot for vacation. Coming back next year.

My only complaint is that I wish our stay was longer! We got in naps on the deck and woke up to the sights and sounds of the marina, very cool experience.

Best at the Nest

We loved this little gem. First time in the area and we got to see a lot. My only recommendation for the owner is to have some fans available for both inside and out.

The title of the listing said it perfectly. Sunsets here were amazing and we had our own private viewing on the deck. We love Cape Charles, have been several times. This time was unique, being at the marina, still very close to town, above a great restaurant with many other dining options close by

Beautiful inside ugly outside

We had nasty weather but our nest was perfect. The views from inside were terrific. The bed comfortable and an easy drive to town to enjoy a variety of restaurants. We always love looking at boats and wonderful sunsets.

Perfect Spot

The Crow's Nest is beautiful - gorgeous views of the harbor at every time of the day -unbelievable sunsets! Everything is spotlessly clean, super comfortable beds, lovely decor. So convenient to the shops and restaurants. Had an absolutely wonderful meal at Hook @ Harvey, right downstairs. Could not ask for more!

The picture that represents this listing is actually the entrance to the restaurant below the apartment. There are a series of stairs you must climb to make access. This was not verbalized and we did not expect it. We had a person in our group that had knee replacement and this was a struggle. You also had to climb two more sets of stairs to reach 2nd bedroom which should be for little kids only. The walls are caved and we banged our heads several times. We actually left early out of frustration and level of comfort. No amenities..not even coffee.

Awesome Stay

We love this spot and love the location. It was nice to have the golf cart because we did not have that last year. However, we still couldn't get the stove working (again), the lock box to get the golf cart out was the incorrect code and the tire on the golf cart had a leak. Luckily, we got an air compressor, so we were able to fill it up a couple of times and still use the cart.

2nd time staying here

I think I said this in my last review but if you like boats this is the place for you. We love sitting outside watching the boats come and go. Walking to the Shanty is quick and easy. We would much rather stay here than right in the town. The property was clean enough but I feel like it really can use a deep cleaning. There’s lots of lovely decorations that seem to catch a lot of dust and hair. We plan on coming back in a few years and staying here again. Thanks for the great family memories.

The unit was on the harbor which is a working facility. We enjoyed sitting in the balcony and looking at the boats and water. It was just a little further walk to the beach than the listing said but was still close enough. The weather was such that we didn’t sit on the beach so our walk was unencumbered by chairs and beach supplies.

Beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Close to town, but away from all of the traffic in Cape Charles. A golf cart was available to ride into town.

We stayed here for our 20th anniversary and it was the perfect spot for a 3-night getaway. The views overlooking the harbor were beautiful—especially the sunsets right from the balcony. One surprise we didn’t expect was being able to rent a golf cart on the property, which made it so easy (and fun) to get to the beach, explore downtown, and sightsee around Cape Charles.A must-do: make reservations at Hook @ Harvey, the restaurant located just below the apartment. The food was incredible and made the trip feel extra special. Between the views, location, and thoughtful touches, this was such a memorable stay. We would definitely come back again!

Birthday

We took my daughter and her friend for her 19th Birthday. Place was immaculate and the added bonus of not having to rent a golf cart elsewhere was great. Would definitely recommend and I will be renting this in the future if it’s still available. Just wish it wasn’t 110 degrees outside :)
