Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good with the exception of the refrigerator that did not work on the 2nd floor. The replacement refrigerator did not work very well and it was way to small. Given this we had to sue the refrigerator on the 1st floor, so we barely used the 2nd floor at all. We know that the refrigerator had been broken for months. It is unfortunate when you pay that kind of money and you are limited to use a major portion of the rental. If the homeowner is not going to keep the facility up they should be removed from the pool. I would not recommend this property as it currently is.

One of our favorite locations in Seaside

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a great trip. However, we had a room that just never would cool. We asked about it each day. A fan needs to be supplied in that room. They did notify us prior to our stay that both ice machines were not operational and did supply us with ice. You cannot beat the location. So close the Modica’s and the beach. It’s a great spot for pictures, shopping, and just relaxing.
Respuesta de VrboOwner, el 22 jul. 2025
Hi Joseph, thank you for taking time to share a positive review overall for Allora Cottage & Homeowners Collection. We are terribly sorry about the temperature situation in the room. Our Guest Services would have been happy to bring a fan over in the interim. I will let the Quality Control Manager know that you did request some help on it and find out what the outcome was. Someone on our Management team will reach out to you offline to discuss further. We do hope you will give us another opportunity to have you back. Take care.

Allora

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Easy check in experience and the home was ready when expected. The 3 level home was plenty to accommodate 10 people. This is also a great location to all shops, food, and the beach. The only compliant we had was the 3rd story front bedroom did not have air conditioning so it was a pretty warm room. We called to report the issue but maintenance did not come. Thankfully we had a fan from home and we used it to circulate air.

Thank you for taking the time to send us feedback. We are delighted your check in experience was quick and easy. We are also pleased you did enjoy the grand location of Allora. In addition, we apologize you had an unpleasant experience with the temperature in one of the bedrooms. I have passed your comment regarding the 3rd story bedroom to Property Manager to address. We hope to welcome you back to Seaside soon!

2d Time in Seaside

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2d trip to Seaside and 2d time renting with Homeowner's Collection. Once again the experience did not disappoint and we will be returning. Location was very convenient and the unit was very nice. We encountered a couple of issues with the unit upon arrival but management team took care of them and properly acknowledged and addressed our concerns. Would recommend better shades on windows to keep out bright lights in am but we encounter this in many rentals. We are big fans of Seaside and Homeowner's and plan to be regular guests. I would recommend this unit for 2 family gatherings or with lots of kids.

Needs some attention

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property great overall, clean, great location.Outdoor spaces need some attention. Cushions outside had mold and mildew on them, ones on roof too disgusting to sit on. Obvious water damage on ceiling in living room. Ice maker in main kitchen and one in wet bar do not work. We had to get ice from ground floor. Cold in master bedroom while hot in other third floor bedroom. Only thermostat on second floor. Contract states two parking spaces on larger properties, but they only gave us one and did not make it known that these properties only include one until we arrived even though I was asking where to park a third vehicle. We took an Uber from airport so we would not have issues with a "third" car (rental).
Respuesta de VrboOwner, el 9 jul. 2025
Hi Michael. We sure thank you for the time you gave for an overall positive review of Allora Cottage's cleanliness & location & Homeowners Collection services. We regret to hear there were some disappointments with outdoor cushions, ice maker, outside cushions, temperature fluctuation & the parking limitation. These notations will be shared with the Quality Control Manager and Property Manager. An Agent with our Management team will be in touch with you off line to discuss further. We do truly hope to welcome you again to Seaside. Take care.

Vacation at the Bothy property

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The vacation itself was good. Loved Seaside but staff for the Home Owner's collection was not good at all. The number they provide does not connect you to the person that you were just speaking with and they offered no assistance as the week went on. I paid a fortune for the Concierge service with no transparency or clarity what the costs would be to use this service. They just went ahead and charged my CC that I had used to book the property. Trash was not picked up once during our 6 night stay. Not even from the previous renters. I had called the office of Home Owners and they did nothing. The trash company missed the 3 days that they were supposed to pick up.In addition the property description and photos is very misleading. It says that it has 4 bedrooms 5 baths Sleeps 12. Well there is not 4 bedrooms. One of the rooms is closet that they put bunk beds in. We had to find other beds....murphy bed that was in the dining room and a sleeper sofa on the first floor. We had no place just for the children to have their clothes or things other than the main living room in the house.. No one ever checked back with us on trash or my other questions. Beyond that.. it is decorated nicely and great location.

I'm very sorry you were disappointed in your experience. I have emailed two different members of your party with no response from either so far. We do contract with an outside concierge service and have never had a complaint about their processes or service, but I did share your concerns with the owner. I also reported the failure of Waste Management to run during your stay to the manager of the Town Council. I'm sorry that you found the description to be misleading. We will review it taking your thoughts into consideration.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bothy is a must return destination location. So close to town square, the roof top decks provided amazing views and the amenities were top of the top. 80 inch screen TV (I’m guessing) was great for our large group and the decor with its Scot and British influence was just plain cool. The kitchen gave us anything a chef would need. Beds Ultra comfortable and bathrooms were amazing (multiple shower heads in my bedroom made it seem like a spa experience). Most importantly, Amy and the rest of the staff were top notch professionals. So nice and the welcome gift was an amazing surprise. We love The Bothy and will be coming back here!

Disappointing stay

My family loves Seaside. We have been vacationing there since the 1990's. We have stayed at the Bothey (now Allora) on 3 or 4 occasions. All of those occasions except for this one were great. This time there were a considerable number of roaches on the lower level of the home. I advised the Homeowners collection folks and they only offered to provide us with roach spray and a roach hotel box for us to use in the home. They told us that their policy is that they could not have an exterminator to treat the home while we were staying there. They didn't offer to move us to another home and didn't offer to reimburse us for a portion of the fee we paid because we were uncomfortable staying in the lower part of the home. Accordingly, I am disappointed and will not stay in another home offered by Homeowners Collections. Bernard Taylor

Thank you for taking the time to provide this review. Pest Control in Florida can be a challenge especially when you see the amount of rain we have experienced this year. All of our properties including Allora have routine pest control contracts. And, it is not our policy that prohibits interim sprays, it is unlikely we can get the providers to come out with the amounts of notice we can provide to service in-house guests. Unfortunately, because pest control is a licensed trade in Florida, we can't spray on your behalf, the only option we have is to deliver products that we very much hope will help. I will be in touch with you off line to discuss the other concerns. With the demand levels we have seen this summer, I doubt there was anywhere to move you to but I do wish we had made a concession for your inconvenience. I very much hope to regain your faith in Homeowner's Collection.

Family Vacation with Friends

This property was awesome! The location could not be beat as it was so close to everything - shops, restaurants, walk to beach. The house itself was gorgeous with upgraded furnishings and it provided everything we needed including 5 full baths! The appliances were top notch (our favorite was the refrigerator!!). We booked through Home Owner's Collection which was a great decision on our part as the whole experience was amazing. Would definitely recommend this property to all my friends and family.

Quick off summer

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Bothy cottage in Seaside. I was given the wrong lockbox code, so was unable to check in at first, but the manager of the property helped us very promptly. The kitchen area was excellent and the layout of the cottage was great for myself and the 8 teenage girls with me to have a very enjoyable stay. One of the upstairs bedrooms has very little air conditioning, but a fan was provided. Would stay here again!
