Dog Friendly Vacation House / Cabin at a Winery & Vineyard !

Come enjoy a get-away weekend in the heart of North Carolina wine country, sample some great wines, walk in the vineyards, and relax with the spectacular sunsets over the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are dog-friendly, with a great fenced-in play area! Located just off I-77 and I-74 near Mt Airy, and only 9 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway, our winery house at Round Peak Vineyards is a great stopping point even if you are just passing through! A free wine tasting for up to 8 people is included. There is also an 18 hole disc golf course on site.

Round Peak Vineyards is located in the Yadkin Valley AVA, sitting at 1300 ft. in elevation in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We currently have 11 acres of vineyards producing 12 French and Italian varietals. All of our award-winning wines are estate bottled, using only the grapes grown in our vineyard. Come taste our award-winning wines and tour our winery! Then enjoy the many activities in the surround areas, including over 30 nearby wineries.

The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay…plenty of kitchen items, linens and comfortable beds and living area…also a very nice screened in porch! You cannot beat the views of the vineyard and gorgeous sunsets too!

No pets but a group of 10 friends. we booked both cabins and the beds were great. Ken G. is fantastic host and has ALWAYS been available. Love the place but then again this is our 5th time at the vineyard! Many more to come for sure

Amazing views of the winery and mountains in the distance. Loved that we were able to bring our pup and were just a few short steps away from the winery tasting room. Definitely recommend for those looking for a quaint NC peaceful getaway!!

Very comfortable and great located at the Round Peak Winery

We really enjoyed our stay at the Round Peak Winery. The "cabin" was very comfortable and well stocked for our stay. The setting at the winery is beautiful and was nice to have access to the winery / brewery for beverages. We would definitely stay there again on future visits.

Beautiful winery/mountain retreat

This is about our 6-7th time staying at these houses, and we always leave relaxed and refreshed. It does not hurt having the winery/brewery right next door :)

The "Napa Valley" of North Carolina

Awesome vineyard property with a great vacation home. Close to town but just far away enough to enjoy total relaxation in rustic comfort. You can't beat Round Peak for a fantastic vacation.

March stay

This was a wonderful house for 6 adults. The owner was so gracious and available to help with any questions. The server at the winery was very pleasant, and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine that we had at our tasting. The mountains were beautiful in the distance. My leashed dogs loved roaming the winery grounds.

We had a great time staying at this property. The host was great, he was easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcomed. We appreciated sampling the wine and we met some great people. The house was clean and it was nice to walk around the vineyard.

Highly Recommend

This cabin is everything we wanted it to be. Great location, well stocked, beautiful views, quiet yet convenient. The winery had music and delicious snacks as well as a variety of wines and beer. The host was responsive from the booking to the exit and went out of his way to meet all of our needs. I highly recommend and I will be returning myself! Thank you!

This property is so beautiful!! Loved having the winery, disc golf and downtown Mayberry close by!! Our family really enjoyed the beautiful view from the screened in back porch. Would highly recommend!!

Hi everyone! We are Kari Heerdt and Ken Gulaian, and as the owners of Round Peak Vineyards, we'd like to introduce ourselves and our team. We met in Cincinnati in 1998 when we both worked for General Electric. We moved to Charlotte, NC in 2000 for a new job opportunity, loved it, and decided North Carolina was where we would stay. Careers got in the way though, and in 2006 we moved to San Francisco for Kari's work. This proved to be instrumental since it resulted in a lot of time spent enjoying wine in Napa, Sonoma, and especially the Dry Creek Valley. We particularly enjoyed the small family owned wineries. When we got the chance to return to North Carolina in 2008, again for Kari's work, we jumped at the chance. Ken had already decided it was time to give up the corporate world, and when we found out there was an opportunity to own a winery in North Carolina, we couldn't resist! After visiting, being impressed with the wines, and seeing the spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, we decided to take the challenge.

When we purchased the winery, we saw the potential to create a really unique rental opportunity, where you can stay right in the heart of wine country, relax and enjoy some fantastic views, but still get out and participate in the many activities in the region. We spent a year upgrading the house, and the surrounding area, to make it an ideal place for a group to stay.
