Beacher's Oceanfront Balcony Suite with onsite Front Desk and Staff

This 2nd Floor balcony suite has all that you need to relax and unwind. There is a great ocean view with a gently swaying palm tree, reminding you that life's breezy and beautiful when you are at the beach. The queen sleeper sofa allows for company to stay over. Kick back and enjoy the view. This unit has a beautiful faux wood tile throughout. The next area of the building juts out just a bit, so this condo has a bit more privacy on one side. There is a 32" flat screen TV in the living room and the kitchen area is fully equipped with beautiful dark granite and a 4 burner stove and oven. The bathroom was remodeled with a new tub with grab bar. There is a comfortable queen bed in the bedroom, along with TV and ceiling fans. This condo will allow a pet, so this might be the perfect spot for your next beach stay. SMALL DOGS UNDER 25LBS (NO CATS) ALLOWED. TWO PETS MAX. $75 PER PET. NON-REFUNDABLE. Minimum age to rent is 21 years old

Perfect getaway

The condo was exactly as described. The bed was very comfortable. I have back issues so this is very important to me. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Management company great/unit had major issues

Checking in and all communication with the folks managing this place was excellent. The view is amazing. The unit is old and needs general repairs. The TV was not working because of an overdue bill but on day two was fixed. There was not enough hot water and we came to understand why- there is a leak coming up from the floor area. This owner has big repairs ahead.

Amazing view

Amazing view, family friendly, dog friendly, great shower pressure, great pool, quick walk to beach, safe. Definitely would stay again! Could use a dishwasher, better cooking pots/utensils (from 2 cooking-lovers), and better toilet but not a deal breaker at all!! Great place!!

My Stay

I have stayed at Beachers Lodge several times. I loved the view. My room was clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was fantastic as I watched the sun rise while drinking my coffee.

Love the Beach!

Reviewer Comments: The accommodations were very nicely updated,the room was in good condition except the sofa upholstery was very dirty, a bit smelly and the sofa bed itself was nothing but a few inches thick and very uncomfortable. We'll be back this summer but in a different room.

The floors were super clean, as well as the kitchen and appliances. The shower was AMAZING and never ran out of hot water for our family of 3. Beacher's lodge's staff is always the friendliest and keep a really nice to pool. Can't wait to come back next year.

Nice stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying at beachers lodge with the family. We can cook meals, swim in the pool and play at the beach. Was disappointed with the lack of curtains in the bedroom. The bedroom window faced the main hall with lights shining in. It made it difficult to sleep. Really liked the flooring and the broom to help keep things tidy. Overall a good stay.

View of beach is nice

Toilet has an internal water leak Witch causes the the water pipes to rattle every 20 minutes when it refills. Had to shut water off to Toilet at night so we could sleep. The a/c in bedroom is very noisy

Awesome beachfront location but tired facilities

Beechers is right on the beach. Awesome location. The rooms looked clean overall but are a little tired. The stove and refrigerator were clean on the inside but need to be upgraded, in my first room. I found tiny bugs on the counter tops. They allowed me to switch rooms but I had to pay extra because the room was larger and an upgrade. I looked at another “silver” room but saw the bugs there, as well. So I took the “gold” without the bugs. They should have covered the extra $50. All the rooms need refreshing, painting in the “gold” room and all the rooms I saw, new bedroom shades and appliances in the “silver” room. The price was less than other places so this is why.

Reviewer Comments: Pros: Full kitchen(Oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishes, pans, etc.), balcony view of the beach with chairs, convenient location to Downton St. Augustine, restaurants, and other attractions.Cons: The bed was awful! We had to leave early because we both were in pain from the bed. The tub in the bathroom did not drain properly(there was 2 inches of water in the tub by the time you were done showering), two of the lights in the bedroom did not work(one had no lightbulb and one was burnt out), the blinds in the bedroom did not offer any privacy as they did not close all the way.

Not As Advertised

We had high expectations based on the listing and the photos but were extremely disappointed and frustrated. There were ants in every room and the bathroom. The tv in the bedroom was terrible (the subtitles would not turn off even when the setting was off and there was an additional random subtitle frozen on the screen in the middle left). Took multiple attempts just to change the volume or channel. The a/c unit in the bedroom sounded like a loud plane if you turned the air to a low temperature and it was hit or miss on if it would work. The paint was peeling and coming off a portion on the ceiling of the master bedroom and it was very musty (both my husband and I would start coughing shortly after entering the bedroom), the sheets were ripped with holes on the side of the bed, and the bed was the most uncomfortable one we have ever slept on. The high flow button the toilet didnt work, the main door was extremely hard to unlock and open. The community laundry was EXTREMELY loud every day and night and sounded like it was right next to the room. The only good things about the property was the high water pressure in the shower, the view of the beach and the very nice front office staff. Only two elevators (one on the north side and one on the south) and one of the elevators broke on the last day. Construction also going on where you would hear banging at 8am. Elevators also had exposed wires where the light fixtures should be. Great location but stay anywhere else.

Good weekend getaway for 2

We came for an extended weekend anniversary trip! The condo was good for what we needed. We were only there to sleep so it worked for us. As far as beach access it was a great location and the beach wasn’t crowded. We walked the beach for several miles each day and there were other sections that were more crowded. The bedroom is right on the exterior wall by the parking lot and roadway so the outside traffic is quite noisy at night when you’re trying to sleep. The bed is very soft so if you’re used to a firmer mattress that will be different sleep for you. No beach towels or beach chairs are provided which is fine if you’re driving in but for those flying like us you can’t pack that kind of stuff. There is only 1 towel and 1 washcloth provided per person and no laundry so would be nice to have more than 1 available. The tv in the bedroom didn’t work which wasn’t a big deal for us but fyi and the tv in the living room was spotty on the connection. Checkin process was very smooth. They text you the room door code when you get there so you have easy access to it and don’t have to carry a key around. There is a separate code for the beach access gate that isn’t text but I just took a photo of it so both were on my phone. View is lovely and we enjoyed our stay! There is an ice cream shop and pizza place right across the street and lots of other local places to eat within a few miles.

Always a good place to rest few days

This is our 4th time visiting this property on different apartments and, again, didn't disappoint. Nice view of the beach (which is also pet friendly), just few minutes from many interesting attractions. Is not your high star rated hotel, but just your modest, nice and well maintained apartment in front of the beach. Of course we will be going back.

Lovely beach view, quiet area, older building needs some TLC. Unit small but sufficient for 2 or 3 people. Ample kitchen, small bathroom, low ceilings standard uncomfortable pull out sofa. Overly soft queen bed, bring your own pillow provided ones are a joke. Prompt maintenance and housekeeping. Convenient location, shopping,etc close

Perfect Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beacher's Lodge is the perfect location for a stay at the beach. The balcony provides spectacular viewing from sunrise to dusk. The beach is a short walk down the boardwalk across sand dunes and vegetation with gopher tortoise burrows. If a storm blows up, you are 5 minutes from your room. The unit we stayed in was immaculate, attractive, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Baggage carts make unloading your stuff a snap. Ample, free parking and the front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. If you like it quiet, get a unit away from the pool. The lodge is close to all of St. Augustine's many sight-seeing offerings, grocery stores and restaurants. Have a great time!
