Enjoy the 39" Flat Screen TV and ceiling fan on the sleeper sofa. The fully equipped kitchen has a stove with oven and extra counterspace and a cute breakfast nook kitchen table. The bathroom has convenient access from the bedroom or hallway. The private bedroom has a beautiful bedroom set that includes a comfortable king size bed and plenty of drawer space. Relax in this tropical paradise and enjoy the 32" flat screen TV and ceiling fan in the bedroom. This king suite is just want you are looking for in a beach vacation the whole family will enjoy! Another Great Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We usually stay every summer at Beacher's Lodge and made two trips from Texas this year. As usual, our stay was great this time too. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. Easy beach access makes the trip that much better. We have tried different units in the past, but we have found the one that suits us the most.

Bring Your Own Cookware

Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying this was our second time staying at Beacher's Lodge, the first time was 12 years ago and nothing has really changed. When I choose this particular suite it was because it seemed to be the nicest Dog Friendly suite according to all of the pictures on the website. We were staying for five days and didn't want to eat out every single meal so I planned on cooking. I like to cook and can make myself at home in almost anybody's kitchen, this one was the exception. I wasn't expecting high quality cookware like I have at home but I also didn't expect what was there. The cookware was extremely old and should be in a landfill by now. There was Teflon that was so scratched up I couldn't use it and what I did use had to be washed first since it was greasy. I found a sheet pan under the stove that seemed to be used then just put away, without washing. Since our Bill was over $1300 for 5 days the owner could spend a couple hundred on some new cookware. If we didn't plan on cooking we could have stayed in a hotel and spent less money. All the comforts of home, just not your home. Now to the bed, furniture was nice till you got into bed. It was soft and sagging in the middle and the sheets were thin and very cheap. In an attempt to help the mattress they put a cheap foam mattress topper on it, didn't help much. I would challenge the owner to spend time in their own place every once in a while instead of just raking in the money. I would recommend this unit if cookware and mattress were upgraded.

Great Stay

The pictures were accurate and had everything we needed for a very relaxing stay. We really enjoyed hanging out on our balcony with our dog. We really appreciate allowing our dog to come with us. The front desk staff were all so helpful, friendly, and personable. The property grounds were clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Our Awesome Weekend!

This Condo is Great!

My husband and I enjoyed 4 fabulous days in this lovely condo. The location was great, the beach beautiful and quiet, the office staff friendly and helpful, the overall compound very well-maintained. This unit was equally well-maintained with seemingly fresh paint, it was clean, and everything in working order. Beautifully decorated, the host has it organized and furnished for your convenience. There’s even a deck box with lots of ‘toys’ for ocean or pool use. We enjoyed sitting on the comfy balcony furniture and watching the morning dolphins feeding and ending our day marveling at thunderstorms sending their lighting bolts into the sea. We’ll definitely be back, and hopefully we can book this call condo again.

Lovely Unit, Great Beach, Rental Company Not Good

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've been staying at Beacher's Lodge on and off for more than 20 years. I love the location and the fact that most units are dog friendly. I spent 3 nights there recently in a lovely oceanfront unit. On my first full day, I was in the elevator to take my dog for a walk on the beach. I didn’t have my cell phone. A maintenance man got in the elevator on a lower floor and made the comment that he was surprised to see the elevator working because it wasn’t the week before, and someone got stuck in it. Needless to say, I carried my phone with me constantly after that. On my last night, I went to take my dog out at 10pm for his final potty break and could not get back in my room. The key didn’t work. I didn’t know what to do. I am a female senior citizen and was by myself. I was terrified and distraught. Keep in mind Beacher’s is not staffed 24/7 like a regular hotel. Fortunately, I had my cell phone, but I didn’t know whom to contact. They give you a brochure at check-in with an after-hours emergency phone number, but that was in the room where you would expect it to be. After 10 minutes or so of unsuccessfully trying to calm down and figure out what to do, I decided to call their reservation call center. I was hung up on a number of times or placed on indefinite hold. I was livid and traumatized. Finally, after another 10 or so minutes of calling, I spoke to a person who said she would call someone. However wrong it was, I screamed at her because of how angry I was. Another 10 minutes later, I see a young black man coming toward me. I had no idea who he was. He was the one who let me in. He asked if I wanted the door fixed, and of course, I needed it fixed because I couldn’t get back in again. By now, it’s close to midnight, and finally, the battery in the door got replaced. The next morning as I was checking out, I told the rental employees that I wanted a night’s credit because of my traumatic experience.

The Garrett's vacation

Vacation with our daughter and her fiancé and all 3 dogs!

We had 2 units and 3 dogs. It’s was nice to be able to bring them, especially since they’re allowed on the beach. You can drive on the beach, too, which made it easy to bring chairs and coolers. The unit we had is lovely and it has a wonderful ocean view, as all units here do. There are great restaurants within walking distance. The area has a very relaxing laid back, beachy vibe. The only down side for me was the distance to the dog walk area. It’s convenient for younger pups, but my old girl had a rough time walking the 250 steps -one way - before she could “go”. I’m really happy there is an elevator bc 2 flights of stairs would have been too much for her. Still, I’m so glad we could bring her with us!! This is our second time staying on the beach, although we’ve stayed in St Augustine 4-5 times. It’s a wonderful area with a great mix of things to do!!

Awesome Views of ocean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd stay and loved the 1BR plus layout and fact that had access to bath from hall and bedroom. Had some issues on arrival with accessing property due to weak batteries and property had odor but issues rectified immediately. So impressed by staff...all very friendly, polite, helpful from office staff, to the maintenance and housekeeping. The complex is undergoing a facelift and it looks so fresh. The sidewalks were being resurfaced and looked great but it didn’t interfere with our visit. If you don’t like dogs this is not the place for you because lots of dogs, ours included. Loved the smaller complex that offers oceanfront units with awesome sunrises! It’s located about 15 minutes south of St Augustine but nice to be in quieter section of the beach! We will return!
