Adorable updated Classic Saltbox Home. 3 beds, 1 full bath w. combo tub & shower. The home is located in desirable NE Tacoma/Browns Point, Just minutes from thriving Downtown Tacoma, Port of Tacoma, Browns Point Waterfront, Lighthouse, and beaches—approx. 5 minutes from King County Aquatic Center & the heart of Federal Way. Plenty of parking is in the off-street driveway—only 30 mins. from Sea-Tac International Airport. The home has a magnificent view of Mount Rainier & a large yard w. a flagstone patio to enjoy during the nice weather. Outdoor patio & gas BBQ are available for use during the warm season. Well-equipped w. a full kitchen, you can stay in and cook or head out to the many local restaurants less than a 10-minute drive away. Grocery stores,gas stations,restaurants,theatres,casinos, zoos, & fairgrounds all within a 5-15 min drive, depending on traffic. Cute place! Just right for us. One bed frame is very creaky. Cozy living room with a great sectional for relaxing and watching movies. Nice TV. Could use a new coffee maker- the temperature isn’t very hot.Overall, though, it was great and I’d book again!

This was a lovely choice for our trip. The house was small, but had everything we needed. The host responded quickly. Check in and out were easy. The location was perfect for us We would definitely stay there again.

We loved the home. Very cozy and comfy also clean. We loved how close it was to the stores but also the state park for hiking. We had family in the area and it was a great place to meet for a family dinner. We will go back as it was well taken care of and closee to the stores and very affordable. The damage deposit was surprising as I have never been charged 1500. Usually it is just a hold. I only bring this up as if you are using a debit card rather than a credit card it could have repercussions. My suggestion would be a credit card. The host was very accommodating with great communication. We will definitely revisit. Thankyou for your hospitality!

Nice home for a stay in the Seattle area

The home is in a very good neighborhood, well equipped with everything needed. Only a short drive for groceries, shopping malls and to the city center of Seattle. Enjoyed our stay very much 👍👍

Stephanie's house is located close to everywhere we had to go. Clean. Had everything we needed. Stephanie answered all of our questions quickly and was very helpful. Would stay again.

2nd Year in a Row

Our daughter swims in college. The Big 12 Conference Swim Championships is held at the King County Aquatic Center this time each year. This home is much closer to the pool than the hotels are. The home is quaint, clean, accommodating, and in a very quiet neighborhood. Perfect experience two years in a row.

Terrific!

We stayed here for 4 days and it was a terrific place for me and my friends to call home, we had minor issues but the homeowner was extremely fast to make time and come and fix them! Will be back next time.

The one issue I was made aware of was that you did not lift up the shower diverter level up all the way when taking a shower. I stopped by, showed you, and tested it to ensure it was okay. I'm sorry you had this issue. Happy Travels.

Convenient and Comfortable Stay

I recently rented this house for a Thanksgiving break, and overall, it was a great experience. The host was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The house itself is well-located for those wanting to explore nearby attractions like Mount Rainier, Seattle, and Poulsbo. Additionally, there are grocery stores and restaurants within close proximity, making it convenient for daily needs. The only small downside was that the house has only one bathroom for three bedrooms. Depending on your group size, this might be a minor inconvenience. Also, the house is situated right at a crossroads, so light sleepers might be disturbed by passing cars, though during our visit, the roads weren't particularly busy. Overall, this house offers a comfortable and practical base for anyone looking to explore the area, with easy access to major destinations and local amenities.

Thank you. We enjoyed hosting you and your family during the holidays. The one bathroom limits the number of occupants to 4 during any stay. The home is a 1940s Saltbox and has retained its original design and character. We will be installing additional landscaping. Thank you also for leaving the house so spotless. The house is beautiful, clean, and well supplied. It felt secure and reasonably quiet (except for the many cars going through the nearby intersectin, and there was much vrooming and loudly booming stereos up though midnight on Saturday. But there were plenty of towels, blankets, comfy furniture, water bottles in the fridge, and more than enough ice! The stairs up to the converted attic are a bit steep and scary, but they lead up to a daybed that is probably the most comfortable bed. The other bedrooms are cozy, but one mattress sags in the middle and the other is extra, extra firm. But the house boasts a completely outfitted kitchen and a countertop ice maker, and two TVs. It all made for a very lovely stay!

Nice Rental But Needs Some Attention

My family enjoyed this location for the most part. There were a few issues that I told the owner about, if you're considering booking here I'd ask if they've been taken care of first. The biggest drawback were the beds. The large bedroom's bed frame was damaged - the entire mattress sunk in the middle and was not seating evenly on the main frame. With some help, I was able to put pillows underneath the mattress to take care of the sagging, and fabric on one side of the frame so it didn't move around. The second bedroom on the main floor has a very firm/hard mattress. I suggested that the owner keep a topper on the premises, for people who find it difficult to sleep on such a hard bed, but if that's what you like it'll be perfect for you! There are 2 twin mattresses upstairs, both are misshaped and my adult daughter was unable to sleep on either one. She tried each for a full night, didn't sleep well, and ended up sleeping on the sofa in the living room. If you like baths, be sure to ask if the faucet has been fixed - the shower sprays cold water when you run the tub faucet, warm bath under a cold shower. :( Other than that, it was a good stay and the host communicated in a timely manner. I would not rule this property out, just check first on the beds and tub if you are going to need them!

Surveillance and Search of Personal Property

Do you like being watched? Do you enjoy people going through your personal belongings? Do you like to contact the rental agency to get the host to respond? Then this is the place for you. The host will ensure to be there promptly to lock you out and keep your stuff exactly at checkout. The ring cameras that constantly monitor your activity are an added bonus. So is the oversized fenced in area. If you thought it wa for your safety you are wrong. This interesting design is more of a trap so that the host can lock you out and attempt to keep your stuff should you go past the due date. Want an extension? Too bad. This boat is prompt. Don’t worry about your belongings though. The host will be sure to go through all of your stuff including unpacking your bags and depositing your medical equipment into trash bags. Want your stuff back? Better call VRBO and have them speak to the host to advise them that keeping someone else’s things is wrong and to start communicating with the renters. Have a medical emergency? Too bad, these folks could care less. Spill milk on the sheets? Well apparently the sheets must be thrown out. Do nothing to a couch? It needs to be reupholstered despite a cheaper and better option of ditching a couch from the 80’s and upgrading to a decent sectional available on Craigslist for minimal cost. Never mind the third bedroom with the staircase of death. Before agreeing to pay thousands of dollars take a step back and actually look how tbis property is designed.

Cute house

This house didn't have many amenities... almost nothing. 2 rolls tp, 3 washer pods, conditioner, no shampoo, a first aid kit, salt, pepper, sugar, enough coffee pods for 2 cups a day (nothing extra id recommend bringing everything you need). It was clean, however the 3rd bedroom upstairs had old carpet that I think caused the strong, musty smell. No AC. The TV was small (maybe 30in) poor sound/visual quality with basic dish channels only. Not a smart TV so we couldn't order a movie or use Netflix. There was wifi though from our phones/computer. The furniture and decorations were outdated and not very comfortable. The house was cute, but on a busy corner in a questionable neighborhood. Not close to anything... we had to uber around, not complaining but would be nice to have something close..... what helped make the trip is our family played cards every night and ate out at nice restaurants. It was alot of fun.

Amy, I am sorry you did not look in the cupboards, under the sink in the bath, and in the 2 closets for more supplies. The attic bedroom you are referring to has carpet that was installed 5 years ago. The house was built originally in the 1940s. We never advertised the home as having A.C. did you find the box fans in the hallway closet? A list on how to connect to the wifi is on the NEW live Edge Desk in the living room. The house has new furniture throughout purchased 3 years ago except for the couch in the living room. Did you not see the photos of the house before you booked online? The home is located in a mixed-use neighborhood with condos on one corner, an 8 plex on another corner, our house, within a residential neighborhood we have never had any problems. Within a 2 mile radius or 7-minute drive, there is access to several restaurants, shopping, 2 Starbucks, 4 grocery stores and more, so I am very perplexed by your review and again wonder if you had googled or did your research? I am glad you took care of the place and that you had fun with your family and ate at nice restaurants.

Amazing stay with equal views

Cozy house on a corner lot with a big piece of property almost in the center of everything! If I'm ever in the Tacoma/Seattle area again, definitely staying here again!

Perfect Location

Great location in Tacoma for what we were planning to do in the Seattle area! Great view of Mt. Rainer on non cloudy days! The quaint house had ample space for the 3 of us, beds were comfy and kitchen well stocked!

We booked this rental property literally the day before we had to fly into Seattle and Stephanie communicated with me quickly and provided with clear check-in instructions. The house was clean, comfortable, and had great views of Mount Rainier on a clear blue sky day. I'd definitely be back! Thanks again Stephanie for making our stay stress-free and clean.
