Perfect Choice

This property was a perfect location and had the perfect environment for our stay. We had a small group if teenagers and they absolutely enjoyed themselves in this complex!!!

Great shelter In place

Condo was great for our continued shelter in place. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook. We had an ant problem but the rental agency got the exterminators to respray and it was much better. Being spring in the south you get a few bugs. Pool and beach and walking distance to everything was great !

Our vacation

Good things: centrally located, good value for the money, clean, well stocked, good communication, nice pools Bad things: beds were uncomfortable, AC didn’t work well upstairs, guests next door were noisy, played music loudly 24/7, came in drunk at 2:30 am and woke us up, roaches in the kitchen!

"Palmetto bugs" are common in coastal Georgia in the summers and there is only so much we can do to control, even though it is alarming when you find one in the house. We always encourage our guests to call us if there are disturbances or issues so we can resolve them immediately. We hope you will visit with us again. Thank you.

3 day weekend

We loved the location for easy walks to town, the park and the beach. The pool was spotless. Enjoyed morning coffee with the ducks by the duck pond.

Nice little beach escape

This was a nice little beach condo. The property is a little older, but well maintained. The condo was comfortable and we'll equipped. Hodnett was great to rent from. Our only complaint is that there were roaches in the building. There probably isn't much the owner or Hodnett could do about it given there are many units in each building - one bug infested unit can spoil the whole building.

Hello palmetto bugs are pretty common on St. Simons Island in the summer months, which may have been what you saw. It is very hard to keep them at bay outside as they live in the oaks and palms. However, if you ever have an issue with them inside your vacation rental please notify us immediately.
