Home Details:
Truman’s Hideout is located at 29 Quincy Circle, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, 32459, Unit B on the 2nd Floor, in the upscale community of Seaside. Truman’s Hideout is only steps away from the many shops of Seaside, the amphitheater, and directly across 30A from one of Seaside’s beach accesses and the famous Bud & Alleys Restaurant.

Truman’s Hideout is a 2BR/2BA condo with elevator access that sleeps 4 comfortably. As you enter the condo you walk into a spacious living room that has an open kitchen (bar seating for 3 only). There is a stackable washer/dryer are hidden in a closet just before the hallway. The hall bathroom has a stand-up shower used by the Queen Master bedroom and across the hall is the second bedroom with full size mattresses on both top and bottom bunk. This room also has its own private full bath.

Bedroom 2: Double bed Bunks (sleeps up to 4) with full private bath- shower/tub combo, TV

**There is an additional cost to use the 3 pools and fitness center in Seaside. This charge is optional with Sandpiper Vacation Rentals. The cost for this cottage is $56/day. Please alert us after booking should you wish to add the "Seaside Amenity Passes" to your reservation. Seaside requires the passes to be purchased for the entirety of your stay when ordered.
*Additional fees are required to reserve Pickleball and Tennis courts paid directly to the Seaside amenity Center.
*Seaside amenities: Playground, Pickleball Courts, Tennis Courts, Croquet Lawn, Basketball, 3 community pools including a covered pool, Adult only pool and Family pool, Chapel with Sunday services, Walkable Town Center from rental home including shopping, restaurants and upscale grocery market.

Great Location, Wonderful Stay

Our stay at "Truman's Hideout" was nothing short of perfect! The location is unbeatable. Everything is in walking distance, just steps away to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The house was perfect for our needs. We had 2 teenage boys who had the freedom to do their own thing while we enjoyed our quiet time at the beach. We had an amazing time and can't wait to come back. This property is perfect for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy Seaside. Highly recommend.

Perfect Location

This location is 100/10. Literally steps from the beach, in the heart of the square! We never had to get in the car! The kids had an absolute blast! The condo itself is a bit outdated, but beds were comfortable and we had all all that we needed. I suggest for the rental co or owners to add a few portable fans. The bedrooms stayed very cool, however the living room does get about 5 degrees higher than the thermostat setting due to the sun coming in during the afternoon, but we understand that is Florida in the summer! We will be back!

Perfect location

Can’t beat this location! Convenient and close to everything! It is right next to the square and just across the street from beach access. Just steps to shops, food trucks, etc. We never had to drive anywhere unless we went out of town. The unit felt spacious enough for my family of four, the rooms are a good size and have very high ceilings. Not entirely sure what they mean by “ocean views” in the listing, though. You might get a glimpse of the ocean from the kitchen windows maybe, but that’s about it. Regardless, it’s a great location.

Location is perfect!!!

This location is literally steps away from the center of town and across the street is easy access to the beach. We enjoyed being so close to shops and restaurants.

Comfortable and Close To Everything

The location of Truman's Hideout is nearly unbeatable. It's very close to the beach pavilion, Airstream food trucks, shopping, restaurants, and a very short bike ride from Watercolor. The rental was well furnished for any occasion and a comfortable and relaxing place to spend time. Three nitpicky things I would change are 1) Steam clean the carpets 2) Upgrade the main bed from queen to king 3) Replace the uncomfortable shower head in the second bathroom to a better one. We used the bikes a few times and found them to be a fun and enjoyable part of the stay. One had a slightly low tire but we soldiered on with it that way. Overall we had a great time staying here and will probably try to get the same property on our next visit.

Truman’s hideout

My daughter and I really enjoyed staying here for a few nights. We could walk to everything easily, including the beach. Perfect for what we needed.

Great location

This unit is a 2 minute walk to the beach, downtown restaurants and shops. The bikes were convenient, once we figured out which ones to use. They should identify which bikes go with this unit. The propane tank for the gas grill was empty, but maintenance showed up within an hour to replace it. Overall, nice unit for the price,

Needs TLC and better parking.

We have been visiting Seaside, often biannually, since 1998. Truman's Hideout is not the usual Seaside vibe. Housekeeping and the Cottage Rental Agency are located in the same building. It feels like you are in a busy transit area. Our rental vehicle was hit three times while parking in the assigned space.

Would Stay here again

Like other reviews said the unit is a little bit run down but we were aware of that going into it. The ac unit didn’t work the first night but they refunded us for that night without us even asking. The man that fixed the ac said he installed a new unit two years ago so they have updated it. We loved the location and would stay here again.

Seaside wedding

Great location for all the shops, restaurants and beach. We had 2 adults and 2 kids. I wouldn’t want anymore than that. Nice unit.

Broken AC and dirty place

This property needs to be taken off the rental list until it has a complete remodel. The AC was broken so we had to move to another rental until our last day when we had to move back. The carpet patches were disgusting and there were bugs in the huge light in bedroom. They need to put shades or a tint on the living room top windows due to the heat coming inside during the day. The managing office was very nice and helpful with the exception of a very rude maintenance guy. I own rental property myself and I would never rent out this place in its current condition. The owners of the property should be ashamed to say they own it. When I stay in Seaside I expect top notch properties. In the many years we have come to Seaside this has been our only bad experience.

We love Truman’s Hideout

The location of Truman’s Hideout is perfect, just across the street from the public beach access and right across from food trucks and the Seaside town center. Checkin and checkout have always been easy. We were concerned about the a/c at one point. After creating a report we had a technician out shortly who solved the problem and all worked fine after. The pullout couch is ready for replacement. We use that for our boys ages 11 and 13. That’s the only thing I took away a star for. Everything else is wonderful. We have stayed at this property 3 years in a row.

July 2017 Stay

Perfect location, especially if you have a teenager! Our girls and visiting friends had a blast being able to walk to and from the square with all the happenings! I absolutely loved being able to walk to everything! The beach, shops, restaurants, even a spa right underneath the condo! I had a bike ride that was so refreshing! First one in many many years! So the bikes were a definite delight! Everything was nice and clean. If I had suggestions, they would be; Complete cable on all tv's and leather sofas so stains from previous renters won't show. Otherwise....it was awesome! Met the Maintenance guy...he was friendly and very nice! Oh, plenty of closet space, which I always need! 😁👗👜👙🛍👠👡

June 2017 Stay

Condo is in need of updating . Carpet is in very bad condition - I would stay with hardwood . Condo was not very clean either . Remove or couches and go with a leather or something that can easily be cleaned . Kitchen area is in disrepair as well . Parking is terrible ! Should have a couple of spaces dedicated to the condo.

Perfect price and location!

This condo is perfect for 2 couples or a family of 4. Great price for what you get! Nice kitchen, and bedrooms with private baths and tvs. Parking is slightly cumbersome with any condo in Seaside, however once we found a spot we didn't need to move it as everything you need is walking distance anyway! The beaches are great, the town is fun and you can't beat this location. Had a great stay!

July 2016 Stay

Obviously Seaside is and was a blast. The location of the condo is great although if you move your car during the day, forget about finding a parking spot when you get back. No parking pass or location makes this condo tough. Bottom line, cleanliness was terrible. Carpet was disgusting. Although I loved the location, I would be hard pressed to rent from you again. The 5% discount offer you just sent me would have saved me $75.00 on a $2k rental bill for three days while I couldn't stand to be inside without shoes on.

GREAT location!

Seriously, there are so many places to stay inside Seaside, but this place is in the heart of all the action. Literally steps from the main circle, shopping, food carts, ocean, and restaurants are easy access. The actual condo is maintained well for a rental that sees many many travels throughout the year...so keep that in consideration. I definitely WILL stay here again and again, as the price is amazing for location and quality of condo. We had an issue getting locked out of the condo, and within the hour, someone was there to help us get in. Not only that, but they delivered milk and beignets to our door the next day! Seriously, the most accommodating managers ever! They well overcompensated for the minor fluke. Also, a week later, we had thought we had left something in the condo of major importance. They did not hesitate to investigate for us. In the end, it was our mistake, as we didn't realize where we packed it, and they were amazingly compassionate. I just felt the service in the management was beyond superior! So, all in all, my husband and I had an amazing anniversary in Seaside and would recommend again and again!!!

Could be wonderful....

Location is excellent - close to everything, steps from beach. Here are the things that need to be addressed to make it wonderful, and grant a repeat stay: Thorough cleaning - rugs are stained pretty badly, haven't seen this in all our stays at 30A Fix leaking ceiling (A/C leaking in kitchen) - property mgr said they'd send someone by, never saw anyone or got any follow-up Fix baseboards separating from walls Correctly equip kitchen - this is echoed in another review Clean/launder comforters and upgrade bedding/pillows - we ended up purchasing our own pillows Provide beach towels as other rentals do Add slipcover to old couch Add some decorative touches - looks like condo was stripped down Again, rental could be awesome if it was better maintained/equipped.

Great place, fabulous location!

We stayed here with another couple for a week and we highly recommend it! It is an AMAZING location and you don't have to drive anywhere in Seaside. You're one building away from downtown seaside with the amphitheater and food places and RIGHT across the street from the beach with easy access. The place was nicely kept. Wifi was great. Property managers were quick to answer any questions we had. Having access to the Seaside pool was great too! It's a short .2 mile walk (or can drive :) and was VERY nice. Only downside is the pans and knives were pretty old and use and bent up, but we get it that the owners wouldn't want to put their best stuff in there for renters... but still :) Also, with all of the downtown visitors, parking was hard to find if we ever left early afternoon and came back in the evening, so we recommended to the staff to add in a designated parking place like the other rental up top has. Seriously, such a great spot! We would definitely come back to this place!
