Ocean Lakes Beach House in Myrtle Beach

Newly remodeled 2 bedroom, 2 bath house at Ocean Lakes (sleeps 4). The house has a spacious living room, dining area and kitchen upon entry. The kitchen amenities include a hooded range, dishwasher and refrigerator. The master bedroom has a queen bed and accompanying master bath with a walk in shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The second bath is adjacent the bedroom and has a shower/tub combo. Spacious front porch with table and chairs, swing, and bench seating for relaxing. All rooms in the house are handicap accessible. Cable TV, 3 flat screen Tv's, gas grill. No smoking or pets. Towels and linens not included. There is no golf cart included in this rental. Visitors are required to purchase parking passes through Ocean Lakes. All guests are required to review park policies before renting. The property was not what reviews said

The property manager was very accessible and easy to communicate with. However, the property requires some tender loving care and a thorough cleaning. I was disappointed it was not as clean as expected, especially after reading the reviews. I would suggest a new cleaning company that does linen rentals. Also, not the property's fault, but be sure to read all the rules that Ocean Lakes has.

Perfect place for a vacation. Property is exactly as advertised and would definitely stay here again. Loved our visit.

Amazing and updated property

This is one of the most well appointed properties I’ve ever stayed. Everything was nice, new, clean, updated, and the owner had everything there you could ever need. The pictures definitely do not do it justice. Good location within the park, although the street is a bit busy. Will definitely stay there again!

November fun

House was very nice. Quiet street with a good bit of traffic but we enjoyed seeing the different campers go by. Small but layout was perfect for privacy for one couple and a single. Kitchen was adequate and we cooked alot. Didn't like Bunn coffee maker but Walmart had one for $10. Would definitely stay again.

Our favorite property

We have stayed at this property I believe 4 times now and it's the best for my family. The host doesn't just say it's handicap accessible, it actually IS handicap accessible. And the owner of this home is amazing to deal with! He really helped to work things out for us in a very short amount of time. This is a beautiful, clean, well kept home. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking and family dinners. The beds are so comfortable. Soft but not too soft and adjustable, which is a life saver for my mother that has a spinal cord injury. My family loves this home and we look fwd to coming every year. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Thanksgiving Weekend 2023

We were very comfortable and had a wonderful time! We had all the necessary household items that we needed. The one exception was that the coffee maker didn't work well and the coffee pot itself would only hold 1/3 of the coffee because the seal around the pot was broken.

Moldy bathroom ceiling

Black mold on ceiling in main bathroom and by a light in kitchen. Could be health hazard. Frying pans are completely useless, nonstick coating is all scratched up and peeling. Should be thrown out and replaced with something of a little better quality. Had to go to store for ceramic non stick pan to use. One of the main reasons i rent a home is for the ability to cook a meal or 2. No living room table. No extra table in bedroom to at least lay your suitcase out or hangers in a suitable closet to hang nice shirts. No bathroom rugs, every vrbo ive stayed at least had bathroom rugs when ive had to bring my own linen. And toilet paper. Only a little 1by1 tile rug at front door. Should be a bigger one, and some area rugs in the place to help trap dirt. Floor was pretty dirty, could tell when walking around in socks and they pick up the filth on the floor. Bbq is shot, temp wont get above 375, couldn't bbq steaks properly. For the price i paid could of been better.

Property Management Needs TLC

The property is in a great place. It could be a great cottage if property management did a better job. The grill didn't work, the coffeemaker carafe leaked and the cleaning was less then desirable.

October getaway

Everything about the house was great except the second bath off the kitchen is very small so be aware. The walk in shower didn't have grab bars so it did not feel very safe. another upgrade for the bath would be a place to put towels. The beds are queens but again the second bedroom is small with bed against wall, We enjoyed our stay and host was very good and responsive to our questions..

Love this house!

This is the 2nd time we've rented this house. I love it. The only complaint I have is the cleaning service. The floors were dirty and full of sand upon arrival. Also, the shower in the larger bathroom was not cleaned upon arrival. Although neither of these things were an issue for me. I clean everything myself before using anyway. The owner is so easy to work with. We had a wonderful vacation!

Not ADA compliant

Property did not have grab bars in showers or bathrooms. Wheelchair ramp on exterior led me to believe inside was handicap accessible. My fault for not asking. Will not stay again. Also Ocean Lakes charged for parking and said if I had booked through them I would not have been charged for parking.

Nice week at the beach

We found the property to be convenient to the beach and the camp store/snack bar. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found that even though the house was described as having one queen bed and one full bed, we discovered that both beds were queen. While it was nice to have a larger bed, we had to replace the full set of sheets we brought by purchasing a queen set for that bed. The rest of our trip went well and we enjoyed our stay, especially the comfortable living room couch/recliner, and the covered front porch. The only other issue we encountered was that both bedroom tv’s showed “no service”, so the only useable tv was in the living room. The property manager was going to check on it, but unfortunately we never heard back from them during the remainder of our stay.
