A new 4000 sq' home with large fenced private yard with pool. Spectacular master bedroom, adjacent sitting room, large screen tv over fireplace, huge bath with bath tub and oversized shower & adjacent outdoor shower. Upstairs 2 guest bedrooms one with ensuite bath, second bedroom bath shares with the game room with pool table, TV and murphy bed if needed. The house is in walking distance to a nature park for fishing and exploring. Located in the center of the Texas Wine County there are an abundance of opportunities for tours in Comfort, Fredericksburg and Sisterdale to please any wine connoisseur. If antiquing is your sport, look no further. Boerne Lake is a wonderful place to picnic, to swim and paddle boat. For those that want a river rafting experience there are guided companies or you can due it yourself from many entry points to the river.

The house was very nice! Please make sure you are trying to find it in the daylight and don’t turn on Green Cedar! The pool filter was not running and it was quite dirty. I turned on the filter and spent hours trying to clean it to no avail. We throughly enjoyed the game garage-tons of fun!

Grooms Family Stay

5 Stars! My son married the love of his life, right down the road, and this was the perfect spot for our family! We loved the game room, pool and backyard, as options to wind down! The master suite was perfect for him to dress, and we even had the photographer come and take some pictures. It was the PERFECT setting! We hope to be repeat customers!

THE FABULOUS STONE HOUSE

No matter what age you are, The Stone House WILL Accommodate ALL! If you are visiting any of the San Antonio City Treats…Book The Stone House. Quick access to the City without traffic headaches…that is until you get in the city. I want to thank our Host for allow for the best Final Four Trip in our 10 yr run!!

Beautiful property, loved the landscaping, lovely home, lots of games (outside and/or in garage) to keep the young ones entertained. This property is not conducive to anyone with mobility issues (wheel chair, crutches, the elderly); the downstairs has many split-levels. Stepup from livingroom to washroom/bathroom, stepup from kitchen to dining room, stepup from dining room to foyer, stepup from foyer to half bath/masterbedroom. Wished we would have known this before booking. Had we known this, we would not have rented this property.

peaceful retreat for family

Beautiful house and grounds! Convenient location as well for my group (mom/aunt/grandmother) as we split our time on trip between Kerrville, Boerne, and Comfort. We loved getting in the pool after "long" days of shopping/walking. House was spacious and gave us all lots of personal space to wind down after being in the car together all day. Easy instructions to find and super communicative host!

Fun family time in Boerne

This is a unique property, unlike any other, you will find. There is obviously a history to this house and I wish I knew it. The huge fenced yard was perfect for our tiny dog in the pool was deep and refreshing. Everyone had plenty of room and the games available Are endless. Loved working in the kitchen and sharing meals in the dining room.

This trip was wonderful! Everything we could have needed or wanted was available, even child gates at the stair entry. Very clear attention to detail was paid! Our only regret was our trip was too short!

Gateway seclusion

Nice, clean, secluded property. The games were awesome and the pool was relaxing. The swing outside was perfect for my 3 year old. We liked how the house was gated and close to the park. If had a downside, the traffic noise from interstate 10 was little loud. Nice place,would stay again.

Wonderful home with a secluded feel.

Lovely home with a secluded feel to it. There was plenty of room for everyone. Pool was wonderful. But for us, the garage was a life saver as it rained some while there and the kids (8 and 2 teen) were able to keep busy with all the games available. There is a ping pong table, fuseball and darts to name a few. Kitchen is amazing and the place is well stocked.

We LOVE The Stone House

Once again a 5 star stay at The Stone House. Judy is a wonderful host. The house is one of a kind with everything you need to never leave. But close enough to good restaurants, easy access to groceries, Topatio CC, Fredericksburg, San Antonio and room for everyone to make great memories. A quick “staycation” summer getaway to “The Hill County”. We’ve now been several summers and I hope there will be more. Everything was perfect!

STONE HOUSE

WOW AWESOME , If you are looking for family friendly this is the home!! everything you want is here rooms ,games, pool, & PLENTY OF ROOM!!! it was a great experience for all of our 4 grandkids each had a different favorite game the outside tree swing was a hit with the little kids pool table was a blast for us big kids:) watch for the local deer in the morning & night as they eat in the field next door kids loved that. Judy answered all of our questions and was very helpful!! location close to Sanantonio, Fredericksburg for the local shopping, but this is a very peaceful relaxing spot!!! if you are looking for perfection this is the place!!!!

Hill Country central location

This hilltop "mini resort" was perfect for our family.It's about midway between Fredericksburg and San Antonio and just minutes from old town Boerne and the Joshua Nature Preserve for its trails. The Cascade Caverns and No Name cave are also nearby.The views of the distant hills were relaxing and even though I-10 is "right there", the occasional traffic sounds were a non issue inside or out.We used all 4 bedrooms (the laundry room-shower bath worked just fine for the bonus 1st first floor bedroom). The primary suite, also on the first floor, is virtually an apartment. Being positioned far from the other bedrooms and family areas, it made a perfect retreat at the end of the day.In addition to the family room-billiards room upstairs (with 2 more bedrooms and bathrooms) the garage has many game options.The beautiful-gated pool provided another entertainment option. We also put to use the covered patio-dining area with grill.The kitchen is fully stocked. There were plenty of towels and other bathroom needs, and house was clean as can be.We can't say enough good things about this house, its location, and the owner-landlord.As they say, "Try it, you'll be glad you did!"Jim

Hill Country Paradise

We arrived at the property to find it in fantastic shape. One of the members of the cleaning crew had just finished shocking the pool and getting it set up. Judy the property manager gave us a call prior to our arrival to make sure that we knew how to get in the gate and the house. The house was very clean and looked to be very well maintained. The property itself is secluded and makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere all by yourself. One of the things that we liked most about the property is that it was fully stocked with what we believed were essentials. There was a plethora of towels to use for both inside and out. There was no shortage of toilet paper or trashbags. The kitchen had all the utensils, plates and cups that we needed. Overall we were extremely satisfied with our Hill Country stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the area.

Labor day weekend

This property is the perfect get away the home is gorgeous alot of space the master room is huge we enjoy every single minute the pool was perfect game room was just perfect for the little one they enjoy every min. The pool was the cherry on top nice and clean adults and kids enjoy it. The only part i can say we were dissapointed there was no propaine provided so we had to go out in the rain to get propaine tank fill. Communication with the owner was not what I expected I had texted her the day of check in with no answer and also the day of check out with no answer as well I think a simple reply would of been nice she did mention she was out of town when i let her know about the propaine been out which I understand but it just take a second to reply. Other then that we loved our stay we enjoy our weekend and we will booked again next year GOD willing.

Absolute Best Home Away From Home

My family & I meet every year in the hill country for the July 4th week. We have ages from 3-80 & hands down this house is our favorite!! It was very easy to get to. We loved the gated entrance because we have a wild 3 year old & that gave us extra added comfort. The pool, which is gated, is by the house. The trees around the pool supplied amply shade during the 100 degree plus temperatures. Upon entering the house, you will find the garage has been turned into a game room, which is where most of the family stayed throughout the day & evening. It has everything...foosball, air hockey, ping pong, red neck golf, magnetic darts, shuffleboard, putting green, basketball, etc. Some of these games brought back childhood memories. The house was the cleanest property we have stayed at. The kitchen had every amenity from home. This is a large house & the ac units had no problems keeping up with the Texas heat. The beds were very comfortable as well as the linens. There is a pool table upstairs. In the mornings & evenings, we would gather on the back porch & sit. This is the only time we could I-10 traffic, but it wasn't enough to disrupt anything. You couldn't hear the noise inside the house at any time of the day. Don't let this deter you from booking this paradise. There is a Dollar General right down the road for some groceries or a short 20 minute drive to Boerne to a HEB plus. The owner was absolutely fabulous to work with & responded quickly. All in All this house has it all

Games Are Great, Freeway Noise is Tough

Really want to give this home a high rating as Judy is such a nice person and willing host. There are many positive aspects to the home which we appreciated. However, the proximity to busy Interstate 10 is a caution for any one who has issues with noise. Think "Rest Area" proximity regarding noise. That means quiet cup of coffee outdoors in the morning, evening cocktail in still of night or sleep without loud traffic noises not possible. You will hear traffic. The big positive is the game room. Our grandkids and family gathering made such good use of the play area. It is well-equipped for every age. The house was also cozy and comfortable for a family and the fenced yard for kids and dog a real plus. The bedrooms, particularly the upstairs are good for a family. The stairs are steep, and not recommended if you have small ones or movement issues. The little nursery in the master closet is a big plus too. There are plenty of bathrooms, which is a big plus with a large group. We were able to put together tables outside for an Easter gathering. There is no large gathering place inside the house - I think 6 chairs in dining room plus a high chair. Two bar stools in kitchens. The pool is unheated and not usable for this time of year. We tried but even our Michigan lake swimmers couldn't handle cold. Perhaps better once things warm up. The supplies were a little thin, and some things (like a can opener) missing. We were able to shop at the nearby HEB about 8 miles away to replenish without a problem. If you need a large place with some room around you in this area, stay at the Stone House, but be aware that you are on the freeway versus out in serene countryside.

Lovely Home

This was a lovely home to stay in. There was plenty of space for a large group and we were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and serving food at home. The indoor and outdoor space (pool included) was very clean and well decorated, with nice artwork throughout as well. I would recommend staying here!

Fantastic Entertainment House

My family and my sister's family had a blast staying at this house with all the amazing entertainment. Our boys ages 13, 12, and 10 learned to dive in the deep pool and thoroughly enjoyed playing billiards upstairs and foosball, shuffleboard, table tennis, air hockey, basketball, plastic ax throwing, etc. in the garage. There was never a boring moment with the plethora of activities available. We may very well try to stay here again. Thanks for sharing the lovely home with us!

Boerne or Bust

We flew out from WA state to meet my family in Texas at the stone house. It was more than perfect. Plenty of room, plenty of fun, and plenty of shade from the sun. Game room and pool were amazing, plenty of cooking space and all the utensils we needed. Property owner called to check in twice…the personal touch was great. This is a 5 star location through and through. Thank you stone house for all the great memories.

Our VRBO experience was outstanding. The accommodations were over the top. Popo’s Restaurant…recommended by the owner, was a great addition. I would recommend this property highly!
