Host was great! Great location right on the water. We stayed there as an alternative to downtown Auburn visiting our kid at school. Very tranquil.

We had an amazing long weekend for our family of 5! The cottage is beautifully decorated and very cozy. The view from the upstairs bedroom is amazing! My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs overlooking the lake. The boat dock was easily accessible and the surrounding area is just stunning. Perfect location as well!

Amazing property

Amazing property located in a great area. Easy access to the marina if you need a boat rental, and easy access to restaurants by water or car. Van and Melissa are amazing hosts that have thought of everything. This was a great 4 day weekend stay and we will be back.

Great views in amazing location!!

This is a perfect place for a family get away. The sunsets are amazing and so are the hosts. The hosts were so kind, courteous and helpful! Looking forward to going back!!

The property is quite small and was infested with ants, leaving us no where to sit and enjoy the surroundings, so we checked out and left. We immediately reached out to the property owner for a partial refund. We offered to pay for a night even though we never even spent a night there. The property owner refused any refund and charged us for the full, 3-night stay. The net result of this trip for us was an expensive vacation we didn't even take. Buyer beware. We would NOT recommend this property.

We’re sorry this guest was disappointed with their stay. As soon as they contacted us regarding ants on one of the indoor seating, we immediately offered to come over and take care of the issue ourselves. We also offered access to ant treatment on the property so it could be addressed right away. Unfortunately, those offers were declined, and the guest chose to leave before allowing us the opportunity to remedy the situation. Cleanliness is something we take great pride in, which is reflected in our many reviews praising the condition of our property. The home had been professionally cleaned prior to this guest’s arrival. Regarding the size of the property, our listing includes numerous photos and a detailed description so guests know exactly what to expect before booking. After the guest departed, we contacted VRBO to determine the appropriate course of action. Based on the circumstances and our documented efforts to resolve the concern, VRBO supported our decision regarding the reservation. We remain committed to providing excellent hospitality and responding promptly whenever an issue arises.

Great property on the lake

Will be back to stay at this one! Great for couples or small family. Convenient to Auburn and beats staying a hotel! Host were spot on with information provided.

Great weekend

We had a wonderful weekend, the house was very clean. The hosts were very accommodating. Bedrooms were comfortable and space was inviting. Great location and great rental!

Beautiful Place!

From the breathtaking view to the courteous hosts, this place has it all! We have stayed at many places along the lake over the past decade and this place is now one. Of our favorites. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful sunset view. Don’t pass this one up!!

Lovely accommodations.Beautiful Sunset view!Very close proximity to friend’s home; whom we came to visit, & celebrate Graduation.Wish you had a real coffee maker.K-Cups just not good.I brought a pound of coffee, but no way to brew it.

Fantastic Spot on Lake Marin

This property on Lake Martin is perfect. I cannot think of anything that could’ve been done by the owners to make it better. It lacked for nothing. It was as described, and exceeded our expectations in every way. As an example, the boat dock had not only pre-installed bumpers and tiedown cleats, but also included bungee/elastic lines so that we were able to simply pull up to the dock and tie off without having to use any of our own spring lines. That is but one example of the owners going the extra mile. Without question, we will be back to this property.

Cute little place 40 min from Auburn

We used this as our home base for an Auburn soccer camp. Pictures are accurate, but make it look bigger than it is, but still did well for the 4 of us. One of the 2 bedrooms is outside and below, but has it's own bath and patio, our teenage son loved it, but if you had little kids this definitely wouldn't be ideal. Just more of a so you know. Place was clean, owners were friendly, and it was a nice getaway. I would caution anyone wanting to get into the water there are 4 - 5 steps leading into the lake. The top 2 are dry and ok, but the bottom 3 steps are covered in algae and ridiculously slippery and impossible to use. Our daughter got hurt and there's no hand rail to help with these dangerous steps. It would be better if they just weren't there.

Property not as listed

The only reason I’m giving this property three stars and not five is because it’s listed as three bedrooms. There are NOT three bedrooms. There are only two bedrooms. The master is upstairs in a nicely renovated detached garage type apartment with carport underneath. The main house is down closer to the lake and this is where the owners stay, Even though the garage apartment has been very nicely renovated there is only one bedroom with a nicely stocked kitchen and bathroom. They have a twin trundle outside the master bedroom next to the bathroom but it is in the main living area with no privacy whatsoever. The second bedroom is down the outside stairs and through a little enclosed porch. It is very small and not with the main living area. You have to walk outside and down the stairs which was a bit inconvenient when it was raining and needed to go down to that room. I would not suggest having two families stay here but a small family of four would be fine. The owner was very responsive to our needs and this place is great to stay at as long as you are aware of the accommodations. The location is great and has a beautiful view of the lake from the upstairs bedroom. I wish before I booked I would’ve inquired more about the property so that’s on me. We actually left a day early because it was a bit uncomfortable for the 6 of us.

Out adult party of 4 girls love our stay! Van and Melissa were fantastic and very accommodating. The entire house was clean and well appointed. The dock has easy access to the water and a perfect place to float for 3 days. We couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.

Such a cute little cabin!

Loved the decor and it was very neat and clean. Sweet note with goodies awaiting our arrival. The upstairs was small but cozy. The master bedroom and bathroom was outside and downstairs with its own door with key. It wasn’t actually part of the upstairs area. It was an adorable little private area. There is a small dock where you can have a boat. Great location on lake! We enjoyed our stay with friends and had a wonderful time.
