Pokegama lake stay

Our family had a great time staying at this place! I have 2 young boys who enjoyed exploring the outside and paddling boarding in the lake. The house is exactly as described and was stocked with everything we needed for our week long stay. We will definitely stay here again!

Great place rest, relaxation and fun!

We loved staying at Jared's place! It was clean and contemporary with a well equipped kitchen, fluffy white towels and a gorgeous view of the sunset at the dock. Jared was a great host and promptly answered any questions we had for him. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfectly reclusive

The living space was very comfortable and inviting and the access to the dock and lake were wonderful. We all caught so many perch! Wonderful to have access to the paddleboards.

Nice property

This home sits on a very private lot, but yet easy to get to town. It is newer and clean. Every detail was given to make our stay enjoyable. The owner responds promptly to all inquiries.

Last minute family vacay.

This was a VERY last minute trip with my family. And the owners went over & beyond to make it happen for us. The house had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and our family of 5 loved having 2 huge, bathrooms. If we come back to the area; we would definitely stay here again.

Nice Property

The property was new, nice and clean. The location on Sherry’s arm is perfect for kayaking as this part of the lake was not busy. If you do kayak we recommend going under the bridge and checking out Little Pokegama, nice slow ride with plenty of wildlife.

Excellent cabin stay!

The property definitely lived up to the description and was better in person than pictured online. New construction, well-appointed lakeside cabin, perfect for a family getaway. The cabin was very clean and provided everything that you could need for a stay there. Kitchen was well equipped and gave us the perfect place to prep meals for the days on the lake. Would not have any problem recommending this cabin to others and would love to come back again. Thank you!

Perfect place!

This property was perfect for a long weekend with our family of four! The owner thought of everything you might need during your stay and was very helpful and attentive. He was quick to answer any questions we had and even offered to help us navigate the lake safely. The cabin was new, well built, and very clean. The beds, sheets, towels, and furniture were all new and very comfortable! There was a nice dock where we could tie up our pontoon, and paddle boards at the beach to use. Secluded but close to town. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Pokegama Lake Heaven

This is the 3rd straight summer we have rented this property, and at this point it has become a special place to me and to my family as well. It is very clean. extremely comfortable, well kept, and it has a dock on Pokegma Lake....what more do you need?! It also has an outstanding, responsible & responsive owner, Jared, who we can't thank enough for sharing this property with us. See you next summer!

Really Nice Pokegama Cabin

We just needed a place to stay in the Pokegama area for a family get together, my brother has a place on the lake. Everyone else stayed at Rutgers SL Lodge, we found this little gem right on the lake. Extremely clean, everything worked, nice appliances and grill, lawn freshly mowed, and plenty of good firewood for our stay. The view of the lake is nice, if it were mine I would cut a couple of trees so you could see more lake. Communication with the owner was A+, Jared responds promptly. Might not be for everyone because of the setback from the lake, but it was perfect for us.

Clean and quiet!

It was the perfect getaway. The house was spotless and cozy. The property secluded. Three days of none of the noises we hear in our everyday city life! Just the wind in the trees! Jared was super quick to respond to all messages including when we couldn’t figure out how to use the remote! lol

Satisfied but not overly impressed

The property appears new. When we first entered, it appeared very clean; however, when wiping up an ice cube that was melting on the floor, the paper towel was brown. It didn't appear that the floor was mopped prior to us arriving. The police were called the first night we were there due to the owners believing that no one should be renting that night. Owner did call and apologize. The grass had not been mowed so that made sense if they didn't think anyone was due. Someone was coming the next day to mow then for us. They mowed just around the fire pit and nothing else. The chairs and logs left left around the fire pit were left in place. I know this isn't the owners fault. Was just disappointed in a few things. The dock has no power so we couldn't leave our boat there. The landing nearby is a tricky one. You're coming in on the side of the "arm" with no dock as well. Maneuvering this landing would have been difficult. Locals advised us of a better landing to use. This would be a great place to stay for ATV use - we wish we had brought our ATV vs our boat. Trails right along the main road. No additional amenities provided. No bar soap, there was only enough laundry soap to really do a load and half (was willing to wash more for them but no soap). They may not rent it out every week because the fridge and freezer were bare. Every VRBO we've stayed at previously have more "leftovers" from previous guests. Basic condiments, sunscreen etc. Nothing here.

Quiet Time

Great place for some quiet time! Lake is actually 100 yards from the house, but there is a nice view, although not the view I expected. I still had a fabulous stay and would consider it again. Thanks for the retreat! K.

Pokegama Lake getaway.

Great communication. Requested early check in, they needed time to clean from previous renters but we got there early anyway to launch boats ( boat landing 1/4 mile away), and cleaning gal ( very friendly) said she was almost done and we could start bringing stuff in. We let her finish so we weren’t in her way. Lawn needed to be mowed as mentioned by everyone in our group, young man showed up with firewood and mowed shortly after that. Decent walk down hill to dock, not a swimming beach but with a boat it’s a nice ride out to the island with a nice sandbar and swimming area! Definitely recommend a boat ride to Pickled Loon Bar/Restaurant for a great meal!
