Clean property, laundry on site was nice, everything you need in the kitchen. The kayak's were fun and having the river was amazing! Communication with the hosts was top notch, Derek and Marta are kind and great to work with. Will definitely be back to visit our son in college!

Five adults and one very happy dog enjoyed a too short week. The home had all that we needed and expected. We brought a large pontoon and small fishing boat that we docked at the property; a little weedy but it didn't take long for it to be cleared. What a great lake chain for boating and fishing! I walk with a cane, and was easily able to navigate the property from the front door and was able to enjoy the deck off the master bedroom. The hosts were very accessible to answer questions before and during our trip. We hope to be back!

The only miscommunication is that I was not there to put the trash out as we were out of town early. So with the heat of summer it was rather stinky. But hardly a bad mark.

Perfect location for local lakes and attractions. Neighborhood was peaceful and quiet .Lots of wildlife along the river making for great morning views !

5+ years of visits

This was our 5 or 6th year of staying here and it was another good one. Great place to stay. Lots of things to do in the area. Plan on being back next year.

Perfect location

This was our 4th year for our family vacation here. Great location. Private backyard, right on the water. Close to town, bike trails, and the beach. Booked again for next year.

The view of the Mississippi and the wild life was so nice. We had a very relaxing Memorial Day weekend. Loved the house and the location. It will be nicer once the river is warmer, then I would be inclined to try kayaking!

Nice spot on the Mississippi

Convenient spot right on the river. You could access many lakes from here which is great. Clean and had pretty much everything we could need or want!

Wonderful time

This was our second stay here. Property is clean and well maintained. Location is wonderful right on the Mississippi River with access to many area lakes. Close to shopping and area attractions, this is a fabulous vacation spot for everyone in our group.

Had A Great Time

Very large and impressive yard. Cabin is very functional with a great kitchen space and 3 more than adequate bedrooms. Spent time relaxing, antiquing, and visiting tourist attractions in the Grand Rapids area.

Beautiful River View

Cabin on river was just as advertised. Very relaxing and private. The large picure windows provided an amazing view of the backyard and river. We even had a visit from a couple of otters.

Awesome Mississippi River Property

House is clean, well furnished, and has amazing views of the river. The yard is big with nice grass, has a fun basketball hoop, a great dock into the river to park a boat, and an easy to driveway to park a boat trailer. The owners have great communication. My family and I had an outstanding stay. Thank you!!!

Very nice!

We've been using VRBO homes for about 8 years now, this has been the easiest "move in" hands down. Derek and Marta were prompt in answering questions, we did not feel we needed to "clean" to feel comfortable (we're fussy), appreciated the privacy. Thanks Peeps! Nice property!

Quiet river view

Would totally stay again. Clean and comfy. Quiet river view. Our kiddo loved the beach, I loved having coffee overlooking the quiet river and watching folks harvest wild rice. Love how dog friendly they are 😀 The road gets a bit noisy at times but overall there is a good amount of privacy. Its close to the boat launch and a nice little cruise to Pokegama. Great restaurants in Grand Rapids! Enjoyed 2 Breweries. Our kid loved the basketball hoop and swing too! Happy to have had this place to stay :)

We’ll be back

Another relaxing family vacation. Property is tucked away on the river yet close enough to town and trails. Guest bedrooms are a bit tight for adults but we make it work. Would suggest some sort of pantry or shelving for guests to stash the food we bring for the week. Cabin has spacious living area and kitchen for group of 6 no problem. The porch is great to store coolers and stuff to keep out of the way. We will be back again next year!

Beautiful view

The cabin had a beautiful view of the Mississippi River and was the perfect location for us to visit the sights in NE Minnesota. Was disappointed in the bathroom situation ,I thought each bedroom had a bath . Info said there were 3 bathrooms, turned out 1 beautiful bath in the Masterbed room, 1 bathroom on the main floor to be shared by the other two bedrooms. Checked out unfinished basement and there is a toilet and vanity with what looks like they are going to add a shower. , I should have asked if each bedroom had a bath attached before booking. Otherwise the house is ok.

Hi Kathy, We are happy you enjoyed the beautiful views at the cabin and the location. I'm sorry for any confusion regarding the 3 bathroom locations. We tried to make it clear that the main floor has two full bathrooms and there is one half bathroom in the unfinished lower level. We find the two main floor bathrooms are usually enough for a group of people, but sometimes the lower one comes in handy. Hope to have you stay again this summer!
