The Montview Cottage with Private Hot Tub & King Bed

At the cottage you will enjoy the comfort of a 550 square foot house nestled on our 12 acre Hill Country Retreat. The cottage offers a king size bed, full kitchen, satellite with 26' flat screen TV, WI-FI, private hot tub, gas grill, and large back deck complete with a hammock.

This cottage is flush with architectural details. Warm refinished hardwood floors spread throughout the cottage. All interior doors are original, complete with crystal door knobs, pewter hinges and locks. The bathroom contains a pedestal sink and completely retiled shower accented with slate and glass tile. The kitchen is outfitted with electric range and cook top, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator and cupboards stocked with pots, pans and all necessary utensils. The cabinet doors are punctuated with Flemish glass and the back splash and bar are accented with slate tile.

The place was secluded enough to enjoy the quiet , yet close enough to get to Comal Park. We went out for the day and came back to enjoy the hot tub both nights and it was perfect! The bed was also very comfortable and cozy! Overall, great stay. Would definitely come again!

We had a wonderful three days at this cabin! The king bed was so comfortable and the hot water for the shower was amazing! It was peaceful, secluded even though there was another cabin a ways away. The place was spotless and the owner was very responsive when we needed him. We will definitely come here again!

Love the little cottage!

We came to spend our 20th Anniversary here and loved every moment! It was close to all the places we wanted to see and do wish we could have spent one more day actually! Loved having a spa in the back to go and relax in was so nice! We will definitely recommend to all our friends and family! Can't wait to stay again soon!

Wonderful

My husband and I had a wonderful overnight stay celebrating our Anniversary. The cottage was very roomy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub, definitely worth the evening time.

Quaint Cottage

This is a cute little house. It was clean, although we couldn’t shake the ants getting in the house looking for water. We’re in the middle of a drought. It wasn’t as secluded as we thought it was. But hey, it was solid, safe, and good for our stay.

Thanks for the review. The situation with the ants is unfortunate and we regret it impacting your stay. We treated under the cottage for ants and have increased the frequency of our pest control services. These actions have eliminated the problem.

Get away

It was very pleasant! We saw several deer. It is just far enough off the road and from the highway that it isn’t loud but a quick trip to the store. The living room could use a small recliner or a smaller loveseat in addition to the couch. But only a suggestion. We faired fine without, my husband and I like to lay down to watch tv. Will stay again!

The over all experience was great. Quiet, secluded, clean, homey. Exactly what we were expecting. Would recommend to stay here. We will be back.

Perfect for my little retreat ❤️

The cottage was absolutely perfect. I was looking to get away for 4 or 5 days, somewhere somewhat remote, but close enough to town (and not too secluded since this was my first solo travel experience). I could not have found a better place - clean, quiet, stocked with all the necessities, comfy bed/couch & perfect backyard- I spent most of my time enjoying the hot tub😀 I'll probably be back again next year.

Amazing House

From booking untill we walked in...everything was spot on. This house is a Diamond in the Rough...so cute and very spacious. Everything was there that you could possible need or want. The hot tub with the lights in the trees was so nice..after a long day of site seeing. Thank you again so much we will be back.

Quiet, cozy and secluded. Exactly what we wanted. Pretty central to the area. Made day excursions convenient. Wildflour cafe is a must.

Amazing getaway

This rental is perfect for a couples getaway. We loved it and will be back. The hot tub was the highlight of our trip and the winter storm and snow made it perfect.

Amazing and romantic cottage for two.

Great location to canyon lake. Fantastic outdoor space. Great communication with Justin. The string lights went out above the hot tub due to ants and he replaced immediately. WiFi was weak is the only real issue. Highly recommend this place! Thank you Justin!

Perfect Getaway

The cabin was so cute and had everything we needed for a quiet getaway. The back patio and hot tub were a perfect way to relax and unwind. The cabin is centrally located, so it was easy to get to all of the fun areas within 15-30 minutes. Our host was quick to respond and made the entire experience easy. We highly recommend the Montview Cabin and we will be returning in the future .

Lovely place with perk of hot tub

We really enjoyed our time staying at this cute cottage! It was more than enlightening space for the 2 of us, very comfortable bed, out in the country, and we are huge hot tub fans, so that was great!

Very secluded and private. Enjoyed the privacy of the hot tub. Sitting on the patio was so relaxing. Place was clean and felt like home. We enjoyed the scenery and liked that we were close to restaurants and shopping. It’s a good getaway place for couples.

We added the Montview Cottage to the 12 Acres already occupied by the Cedar Cabin Retreat. This cottage was originally located in Austin and was saved from demolition and transported to Canyon Lake the summer of 2007.
