Island Winds West 775 is an adorable one-bedroom, one-bath unit with Gulf-front views from the 7th floor, located just steps from The Hangout!



Unit amenities:



• Gulf-front balcony access from the living room



• Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for a home-away-from-home stay. The dining area seats four.



• Washer and dryer inside the unit



• Living area has a sofa sleeper



• Primary has a king-sized bed (please note: bedroom does not have a door)



• Keyless entry for no-wait check-in/check-out



• Maximum of two cars allowed. Parking passes are $50 each + tax. Guests must provide registration information in advance and will receive a link via email to purchase passes online.

Perfect Size

The little condo was perfect for 2 people. Everyone was very friendly and everything was so close! We had a blast and definitely will be back next year if not sooner!

Island Winds was perfect. Beautiful view of the beach. Close to restaurants and shops. Condo had everything we needed. Only recommendation is have a designated parking spot at the front door for unloading and loading. Will definitely be back!

Great location, loved the awesome view and close to anywhere you would want to go...The only downfall for us was no curtain in bedroom or living room and it let's light in bright and early and the lights from outside are visible through bedroom shade....I would also suggest better pillows....

The air filter for the air conditioner was filthy. The light coming in the bedroom from the outdoors was too bright for sleeping. A black out curtain or shade would be helpful. Other than that we loved it!

Loved the location! Kitchen was very well equipped. Found towels to be lacking at best-very poor quality and not nearly enough supplied. Also, suggest black out curtains on bedroom window-light from hall outside is very bright!!

The condo is extremely clean and provided plenty of room for the three of us. The only thing I did notice is there is no curtain on the sliding glass doors. Not a deal breaker but it doesn't make it easy for afternoon naps with kiddos. All in all a great tome was had!

The location was good the check in was not so good and we was told we get two parking space and we only got one it was hard to find pots and pans too cook the refrigerator wasn’t working properly when we arrived they didn’t have pot holders and pull out mattress was broken down and felt like you was sleeping on spring we had to go buy a pan so are children could sleep on the pull out and the living room was very crowded with the coffee table and the dining table and the pullout all out

Relaxing stay in Gulf Shores

We wanted a place away from the hustle and bustlenof Destin, so we went to Gulf Shores. We are so happy we chose this beachfront town! This condo is in the perfect location...overlooks the beach, across the street from coffee and daiquiris & a beach store, close to everything. The condo had everything we needed. If I have to be crtical about something, we only got 1 roll of toilet paper for a 5 night stay and the paper towels may as well have been tissue paper. Other than that, everything was great! Communication from mgmt was above and beyond. Note there is a $50 parking fee. I don't recall this in the original listing. We used the XPlorie BOGO excursions and it was very easy. Overall, I highly recommend!

We were looking for an ocean facing condo that had easy beach access and was somewhat centrally located for our family of 3. Without a doubt staying at Island Winds West meets all of that criteria perfectly! The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning and getting to the beach itself couldn’t have been easier. We were within walking distance of a majority of the big restaurants and shops as well, which made it easy to walk and not have to worry about parking. Check-in when we arrived was just a touch confusing because we had to get our parking pass from the Island Winds East building (right next door), which was not a big deal, we just spent a few minutes trying to locate where we needed to go. To be fair, there is a sign, we just missed it because we arrived after dark. All of the staff we had interactions with were very friendly and helpful. The elevators were quick and there were plenty of luggage carts for transporting luggage. The condo itself was a perfect size for us and had all of the basic necessities you would expect with a condo at the beach. It does state in the listing that the bedroom does not have a door, but the actual entry to the bedroom is not a doorway, it’s wider than a normal doorway and pretty out in the open (no issue for us, but I did want to share). I do feel that the condo could use a good “deep cleaning”, but overall it was nice and we definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Almost perfect

Perfect for a couple for a week. Our only complaint is one that has been mentioned before. The window next to the bed needs to have room darkening curtains there! It is so bright all night. Fortunately we were prepared by bringing something to tape over the window. Also, curtains would be really nice in the living room- not only is it also bright in the mornings, but for privacy it would be great! You can see into the units from the beach and boardwalk. One additional recommendation (as previous owners in FL), USB charging cords or lamps with them next to each bedside. Plugs were not convenient for this day and age! The unit was updated everywhere else and just lovely. Thanks for a relaxing week at the beach!

If you’re looking for a relaxing, luxurious beach getaway that feels like home (but better), book this condo immediately. We’re already planning our return trip next year. This place set the bar incredibly high for future vacations. Thank you for an absolutely perfect stay! Highly recommended – you won’t regret it.
