Great Family Value - Gorgeous views - Private acre in the pines

You won't find a better value for your vacation in the Winter Park area. This home, located on a private one acre wooded lot lets you get away to quiet privacy, but is convenient to all the activities of the Grand County recreation area. Ten minutes to Winter Park. An hour and a half from Denver.

Summer- biking, fishing, rafting, hiking, horseback riding, golf, alpine slide, Rocky Mtn National Park. Winter- downhill skiing and boarding, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snow tubing, snowshoeing, all within minutes of the house.

Devil's Thumb Ranch & Snow Mountain Ranch are also both popular with wedding parties and located nearby.

Layout: Over 2,000 square feet in this home. There are three bedrooms and 2 baths on the first level. Bedroom 2 has a king size bed and reading chair. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds. These bedrooms share a bath. (Tub and toilet separated by a door from counter and sink) Bedroom 4 has 4 bunk beds and a bathroom. Upstairs is the great room, kitchen and master with king size bed. Master area has doors that can be closed off so toilet and sink can be accessed by others on main level without disturbing master, which has its own additional private counter and sink.

Heat is individually controlled in each room, so everyone can have it set the way they prefer.

Also works well for two families to share - parents have the king beds, up to 6 kids in bunk or twin beds.

Kitchen has granite countertops and a generous supply of dishes, pans, utensils, crockpot, mixer, griddle- everything you need for cooking.

Wifi. Direct TV with DVD player

Garage with electric door lets you drive in without exposure to elements.

roomy and cozy. Family friendly.

Most excellent.Kitchen / family area was a great place to play games, sit by the fire, enjoy each other company. Kitchen is well stocked, organized and easy to cook our meals and share snacks. Location is great for access to winter park, and Sulfur hot springs. Communications with host was good with timely responses. Individual room thermostats were nice with a Varity of people comfort levels. Beautiful view from balcony and front porch. Every sleep good on the various beds. I can't think of any problems we had which is nice. would recommend to my friends and family with a group of 10 or less.

Nice Getaway Location

Nice getaway location. Outside of town so you feel immersed in the mountains, yet close enough of a drive to town if needed. The owner is very responsive and communicative.

Perfect family vacation house

Perfect family vacation house for our two families (4 adults and 4 teens). Loved spending time on the deck with the wonderful view. The kitchen had everything we needed. Host was very responsive when we had a question.

Great place

The checkin process was super easy. The homeowner provided lots of info about the area. We had family vacation there. Lots of explorering on the property. Nice furniture outside to enjoy. Everyone slept great! Would highly recommend.

Great location. Great view. Very clean, everything we needed for a quick ski trip. One suggestion, put water pump circuit breaker on garage walk in door to house and next to sink and/or on front cover of instruction binder in kitchen. I missed the instructions on page 2 of check in instructions. Had to text owner that we didn't have water, assuming pipes had frozen. Ownee immediately responsed (thank you!) with circuit breaker instructions. Problem solved. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home! Jason

Good Find

Two families with teens shared this rental for a ski weekend. It is as advertised! A good value for lots of communal space, a very fully equipped kitchen and very friendly hosts. It is not "fancy," so if you are looking for something more modern and updated, this won't be for you. If you want a friendly host, lovely views, a good kitchen to cook in, space to gather, nice big table for meals, and comfortable beds, this is it! We also LOVED that there is a full DVD library! Our teens were hilarious trying to "figure out" how to use DVDs. Then they all snuggled in and watched movies, it was a wonderful way to end our ski day.

Fabulous Home in the Woods

We highly recommend this home. We had a fantastic time at what my youngest grandson called the "cabin". The views are stunning, the area is peaceful, and very close to Winter Park and Granby. All of the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The home was clean and spacious yet cozy and warm. The main living area was perfect for a group of our size - me, two adult daughters, their husbands and 5 grandchildren ranging from 4-17 years old. The kitchen was nicely stocked allowing to share family meals there rather than going out to eat. A great movie selection, which led us to having 2 movie nights. This home was truly perfect for us and holds lots of great family memories for us. The owner is very kind and responsive. When leaving Grand County on our last day, my grandson asked, "we are going back to the cabin, right"? He was terribly disappointed when told we were going back home. #beautifulviews #spacious #cozy #peaceful #comfortable #clean

Winter Adventure

The house was gorgeous! Very clean, very comfy, had everything you’d need in the kitchen, beds were super comfy. Was a perfect location and a great homey feel. Room for all nine of us with room to spare. Would def stay again!

Best Vacation Home

My family and I will never forget this place. It was in such a perfect spot. The views were so stunning. The house had everything our family needed. House was clean and the host was awesome. This home made us want to move to Tabernash. It was awesome!

Beautiful family home

The property was wonderful and really grateful that the property owner was gracious enough to share it with others. The property was in a great location to access the West side entrance to Rocky mountain National Park and also close enough to town for groceries and eating out in restaurants. My family will remember our stay in this home and area for many years to come. We had an awesome vacation! Also the home owner sent out a nice information letter about the home and the area which was also greatly appreciated when you are from out of town and don't know what the area has to offer.

Beautiful cabin on the hill

Great location. Quiet with a great view. Our groups only complaints were about the beds. All the beds on the lower level were very soft and/or dented. Uncomfortable. The rest of the property was perfect.

Great Family Spring Break!

Property is exactly what is listed and shown online. Loved the separation from main bedroom, living room and kitchen to the down stairs. Bbq pit was nice to have. Tons of utensils, pans, plates, etc. No need to bring anything else. Location was perfect! Winter Park, Frasier and Grandy Ranch are just around the corner. Definitely will return.

WP ski trip

This was a great fit for our ski group - 9 guys ages 27-73. There was plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen for cooking breakfast and dinner and great views. If our group size doesn’t grow next year we’ll definitely look to come again.

Great family getaway

Property was just right for what we needed. Location was perfect for visiting both Winter Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Our family of 5 adults had plenty of space to spread out and the house was well equipped with everything we needed. Would recommend for families wanting a place to get away together.

Tabernash Cabin Stay

This was a great cabin in a nice location. The cabin has lots of open space room on the main level as we had 9 of us staying there and it was wonderful! Have my three bathrooms was also really nice with that many people. We cooked most of our meals at the cabin and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed and more. It was great having a grill to use!! The view of the mountains from the deck are priceless!

Amazing Views and House was very comfortable

This house was perfect for our family stay in the mountains. Everything you needed was there and we had a great stay. It’s close to lots of things to do and we came home tired every night from hiking, fishing, shopping, and sight seeing. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks

Perfect space and location.

This was the perfect spot for our first trip out West. There was a total of 8 during our stay - 4 adults and 4 kids. The kids loved the open layout and had plenty of room to play. There was more than enough beds/baths to give everyone plenty of space. The cabin was clean and very well furnished with an excellent view. We especially loved the location. The area felt very authentic and not touristy at all. We enjoyed going into Grandby and Grand Lake to eat and get coffee. The western entrance to RMNP was only about 30-40 minutes away.

This property has been in the family for years, but we took over in 2001. It is a favorite place to get away and enjoy the mountains, scenery and serenity and the kids have wonderful memories of the great times at the mountain house. It is available when we are not using it.

We love Grand county because it has everything you could want, from skiing in the winter to all the summer activities. Easier to get to from Denver than Summit County - no congested tunnel to worry about.

When you stay at the house, you are off in a quiet reserve - all the properties nearby are acre plus lots. When you step out on the balcony, you see mountains and trees, not someone else's house or driveway or balcony. But in a few minutes you can be at the ski hill, the grocery store, at the lake or golf course or doing any of the many activities in the area.
