Beautiful Victorian Whole House Rental! Empress of Cape May

Proudly Introducing "The Empress" to guests for the first time! Beautifully restored Grand Victorian home is the Gem of Cape May. The Empress features 8 suites, beautiful porches for outdoor gathering, large parlor, living room, and dining room. Absolute BEST location in town, 2 blocks to beach and Congress Hall, 1 block to Jackson St, and steps to the Washington Mall. Theater and separate entertainment area in the basement perfect for large groups or kids! Unrivaled Parking for 8 cars!

The Empress is available as a year round vacation rental. Please note*** Most Weekends are 3 night minimum, with some exceptions and we do not break up Friday/Saturday nights. There is a 7 night minimum in the summer months between mid June and mid September. During those summer weeks our check in/checkout is on Friday only ***

We include all bed linens and bath towels with our home, and as a result we have very specific checkout procedures that must be followed in order to successfully complete the turnover for our next incoming guests. Immediately upon booking we will send you those instructions and all of the house information regarding the movie theatre, music system throughout the house, etc. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Fantastic New Years Getaway

We had the most amazing time at the Empress! The house has all the charm and more in person as it does in the photos. The character of the house and all the details added to the vibe of the trip and the space was perfect for four families of four. The location is incredible, right downtown with access to shops, restaurants and arcade! Huge thank you to Jason the host who was so easy to work with and very responsive!

Intriguing Unique Property

As pictured online .......one outstanding feature was the parking......we had 6 cars.......they all fit on the driveway....we loved the downstairs movie theatre........The house easily accommodated our whole family .... there were 12 of us.....we put together a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle supplied in the house, We made breakfast and lunch each day and had one big dinner we cooked. The house is close to so many Cape May features including the beach......short and long walks available to experience for all age groups.

Empressive!

The Empress was fabulous! Eight ladies (princesses all), eight lovely en suite bedrooms as promised. Plenty of room for gathering and the shortest of walks to both town and the beach. Empressive!

Amazing House

Our book club came here to celebrate 25 years together. The house was beautiful, clean, and so well maintained. Jason was always available to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend this rental.

Wedding Weekend

Perfect walkable location in Cape May. Large extended family appreciated having their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Popcorn machine was a nice addition.

Great location & house

Our stay at Jason's house was great, the house is beautiful along with having so many ammenities. It is centrally located in cape may with everything in walking distance. We look forward to staying again in the future!

AMAZING

We actually used this as a wedding weekend venue. We got married in November this year and had all of our family and friends stay with us, since we had a micro wedding. Everyone had their own rooms and each room had its own bathroom, so it is the perfect set up for people who may not know each other. The men loved the movie theater and played all the big games of the weekend. Jason was super responsive and answered all my questions. The house is so unique that I know our guests were in awe and will talk about it for years to come.

Incredible property

We were a group of 11 adults and stayed for 3 nights. Property is just incredible- the condition is pristine, the owner is very responsive in answering questions and the gorgeous details in every room are just amazing. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back!

Something for everyone

This is an amazing vacation rental sure to please everyone. It is beautifully decorated while still being quite comfortable. The location couldn’t be more convenient, in the midst of shopping, dining, and a block to the ocean. The house is clean, the kitchen is well stocked, and we truly appreciated that linens were provided. After a full day at the beach, the kids enjoyed the theater while the adults relaxed on the lovely porch. We had a wonderful and memorable stay at The Empress and would not hesitate to return.

The Beautiful Empress

This beautiful Victorian home was perfect for the 30th anniversary of our friendship celebration. The home was immaculate and the location was within walking distance to wonderful restaurants and shopping. We particularly enjoyed our last evening together in the home theatre.

Amazing House, Wonderful Location

This house is simply amazing! From the beautiful decor and amenities to the convenience of being so close to the beach and shopping area, it was truly one of the best stays we’ve had in Cape May. The communication with the owner was also very good. I love this house.

The perfect bachelorette weekend!!!

Stayed here with 15 of my best gals for my cat themed bachelorette party and it was just incredible!!!! The house was out of this world. Would 10000% stay here again. Sooo much space to hang, so many bathrooms/bedrooms, such gorgeous and fun decor / details. Jason was so helpful and easy to communicate with!! Location was a dream!!!!! Entire experience leaves me with such a smile on my face!!!

Christmas

This was a family get together to enjoy the beautiful town of Cape May during the holiday season. I saw the Empress while on a spring girls trip and took a picture of the sign to remember it. Best decision I made. This home is restored with nothing held back. Beyond beautiful. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Christmas vacation house

We love Cape May throughout the year however during the holidays there is something magical about this town. From the horse and carriage rides to the Victorian homes decorated for Christmas. This home was beautiful. Every detail was thought of from the decor to the necessities. Jason had the house fully stocked from sponges and paper towels to linens and detergents. We have been renting homes at the shore for six years now and have never been to one like this, fully stocked and immaculate! We truly felt at home. We were a few couples with children Ranging from 1 to 10. The children enjoyed the movie theater. We brought our own microwave popcorn but there is a popcorn maker. The dining room had 3 tables so plenty of room for everyone to eat. Nearby restaurants to order to-go from pizza to Mexican to seafood and burgers. There was nothing missing to help clean up our crumbs and dishes. 4 floors which includes the basement so PLENTY of space for a large group. Plenty of TVs as well but who needs the TV when there is a smart theater with netflix etc. we were a two minute walk to the heart of cape may with the stores ice cream and carriage rides so close. Restaurants are so close as well! We ate at the Ugly Mug one night, never disappoints. The kitchen has a nice island to gather around and line up for a buffet style meal. I can go on and on we had such a great time. I even brought our daughters Christmas dresses and took some holiday card photos. Jason answered all of my questions right away is available via text. We look forward to visiting again soon! Thank you to Jason and his wife for making this trip possible for us. We wish you the best of luck and many happy memories in this beautiful home.

Wonderful stay!

Home is so beautiful and huge! Plenty of room for our group of 16. We walked everywhere because it’s so close to everything. Jason was so quick with responses to questions and so helpful. Couldn’t have been better!

All of Cape May is wonderful to explore, but we really love the historic district closest to the walking mall and Congress Hall. It has great walking access to most of the restaurants in town, and also to the beach. Typically we spend a week down there, and although we have access to our car right in the driveway the whole time, we usually end up walking everywhere the entire week, so the Empress's location is wonderful for that reason.
