upside:
the unit itself was great, nicely updated and stocked well. Would rent this unit again for sure.
wish they gave 2 gate cards so you could have one in the car and one for when you walked across the way to grocery store or restaurants.
downside:
We have been coming to Edgewater for about 14 years now and have always liked the location, building, ETC. management has never been shy about posting notices in elevators or making announcements over the intercom when there have been some kind of bad behavior.This year no such action, not sure why.. i don;t know what happened this year but it was a total #$%& show. i have never seen so many spring break kids there and there was no security person making rounds the first week and the second week they brought in a Sherriff deputy to walk around but as soon as he made the round it went back to party central.
They put chairs on the roof of the tiki bar , they broke a light in the pool, they broke the railing out around the basketball court, there were always 15-20 kids in the hot tub and most under their posted age limit and they have cameras watching all these areas and nobody went and enforced any type of rules. Elevators only worked half the time and people had been stuck on them. if this is the type of crowd you want to cater to then it seems short sighted as they are only there for a couple weeks but it is going to make people like myself not come back who are your long term customers....
