The size of the units at SunBird are ideal for my husband & I. We loved the location of 405E because of its great view and easy walk to the beach.The host stayed in touch with us from the time of booking through our stay.Check in & out was seamless.

My wife and I stayed at the Sunbird for 4 nights in mid-August. We had stayed there 37 years ago for our honeymoon, so we did the nostalgic trip. The living room was decorated beautifully and it was extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bedroom and bath were just right. Of course the view was great with the white, sandy beaches. The pool in the center was cold, but after scorching on the deck, cold was good! We enjoyed a short walk over to Pineapple Willies where we had spent so much time (and ) 37 years before.Yep, we loved it!

Clean and very well laid out. Previously stayed in a different unit at the sunbird and the bedroom was very stuffy so this unit was refreshing and didn’t feel crammed at all. I will say the bathroom doors do not latch correctly and that was frustrating and the shower curtain liner desperately needs replaced. Other than that it was nice for our little stay.

It was perfect for the three of us. The pullout couch is the most comfortable one I’ve ever been on. Everything we needed was there and it had a great view.

It was great to relax and enjoy the beach!

It was a great place to stay, the beach was clean, and places were close by. Cooking is limited but seafood turned great! Enjoyed the local restaurants but be sure to show up early. Loved the sunsets during our stay!!! Looking to get notifications when it will come available!!!

Property was in a great location and a beautiful view. The room could have a little better cleaning but wasn’t too bad. The AC wasn’t working when we checked in. There was a portable AC unit with an exhaust hose to the window that wasn’t able to cool the unit. They knew the AC wasn’t working and failed to disclose this prior to checking in. Other than the bedroom where the AC unit was, the rest of the unit was unusable including the bathroom due to the heat. They won’t come out on a Sunday unless your room is over 80. Next day reported the problem and was told they aren’t repairing and ACs because they are gonna replace them all in the future. After sweating it out the first night, I contacted the booking company who moved us to another resort. If you book this resort I’d call and make sure everything is working. If we had been with other guest we would not have all been together after the first night.

Property Manager-Emerald Properties was spot on for communication and helping out on anything. Upon arrival Fridge was not powering on, maintenance was called and they finally figured out someone had unplugged it(was in a small space and couldn't see plug). View was great and Security kept eye on property at all times.

Second time staying at Sunbird. First time in room ***. Very disappointed in the room. No where on the listing does it say that the AC isn’t working. They knew it wasn’t working but failed to say anything. Box fans all over the place. They did have a portable A/C one set up in the bedroom but if you wanted to sleep good you had to close the bedroom off from the rest of the condo all day for it to get cold and that made the rest of the condo miserable. They did however refund me 433 or they offered to move us but without the ocean view to a different location. The shower curtain was moldy and the room itself absolutely reeks. Smells like you left a beach towel in a bag for 2 weeks and found it. I did see reviews like mine before I booked, but it was what was left at sunbird. The view and the memories made with my kiddo is what will bring me back. But certainly not at room ***.

Family Vacation

The location of this condo was great! It could use some updating and “freshening up”, but my understanding is that the entire facility is undergoing renovation, so I expect it will be even better the next time we come! The beach was closed for a couple days due to dangerous rip currents, to no fault of the condo, and the pool provided a sweet relief to the heat when we tired of building sand castles. Super convenient location. Plan to come back as a repeat visitor!

We do have construction disclaimers listed on all of the properties for guests to view prior to booking and we also email one upon booking in the event it wad overlooked at the time of booking. Positives and Negatives

First of all the exterior grounds were immaculate, fresh paint and well maintained daily! Being on the forth floor access via stairs was easy and no long waits for an elevator, unlike the excessively large properties in PCB. Pools were very nice and not overcrowded, two of the pools are perfect for families with smaller children. Plentiful seating available. Photos of the unit were accurate, however the unit could use a fresh coat of paint. The king bed does not provide much support for anyone that requires a firmer bed, very soft. As for the sofa bed, like most it is not intended for adults of any weight, however this one has seen it's better nights. My 10 year old complained of feeling the springs his first night, we overcome that by the simple purchase of an inexpensive foam topper for the remainder of our stay. Be cautious of the area rug, it will slide very easily on the tile floor presenting a slip/fall risk, we just rolled it up and placed it in the closet for our stay. With all that being said we would still consider staying in this unit for our next trip. The convenience of this unit out weighs any negatives. It was a delight to find two box fans, thus avoiding the purchase of such only to be added to the inventory of ones purchased on past vacations. Upon retuning from the beach one day we found the A/C not working, a quick call to the emergency number provided resulted in it being repaired within an hour to our delight. May I add, great balcony with view!

Unfortunately, our stay fell below the standard we expected. We encountered cockroaches and ants in the room, which is unacceptable and raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance of the property. The bed was also uncomfortable, appearing to either be damaged in the center or excessively worn from age.While the view was beautiful and the easy access to the beach was a definite advantage, those positives did not make up for the condition of the accommodations. We hope management will take these concerns seriously and address the cleanliness, pest control, and condition of the furnishings. Based on our experience, we would not consider staying here again unless significant improvements are made.

The beach and condo itself were beautiful, and the location was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, our entire stay was overshadowed by the fact that the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. We checked in to a condo that was around 84F, and it remained hot and humid inside while temperatures outside were in the 90s. Maintenance came out, reset the unit, and acknowledged it wasn’t cooling properly. We were even told the A/C was under repair and that this should have been disclosed before our arrival, but wasn’t.What was most frustrating wasn’t just the broken air conditioning, but how the situation was handled by the management company. Rather than showing urgency, they repeatedly tried to attribute the issue to a water main break that happened the following day. Our A/C had already been broken since check-in, so those two issues were unrelated. Instead of acknowledging that, it felt like they wanted to argue the point rather than resolve the problem.We had to leave the condo just to escape the heat, and we continually had to reset the A/C ourselves. Despite the inconvenience, there was never any discussion about making things right or offering compensation for a significant issue that affected our entire stay.The condo is beautiful, but the poor communication and lack of urgency from management made this a very disappointing experience. I hope they improve how they handle major maintenance issues. Based on this experience I would hesitate to book again.

If your looking for a simple room this is a good go to. Elevators were always quick. All of property was clean. The couches have been updated with a leather sofa and chair The bathroom is a bit small. It is clean and works as it should, but it is small The bed wasn't the best but wasn't the worst. They did have extra pillows, but no extra cases. I didn't call and ask for more but is a thought It is beach front with 2 chairs, the parking lot is a lot not a garage Property has 24hr security. Always felt safe. Pools very clean. Area on the beach in front definitely not crowded like down the beach. They do offer chair rental on the beach but it isn't thru the Sunbird. It was about 60 a day for chairs (2) and umbrella. We took our own, there was an umbrella and 1 chair in the room Room had many small appliances and even 2 box fans. The ac in the bedroom isn't as good as the living room. I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful unit

Beautiful beachfront unit, fully stocked kitchen, ice cold A/C. Property manager always responded in a timely manner. 15/10 recommend.

Not the best

Room hasn’t been painted in a good while. A lot of water bugs. Couches smelled of mold which I’m highly allergic too so I couldn’t sit in living room. Bed was good and a/c and fridge worked good. With some less bugs some paint and new couches would have been perfect but not really what we expected at all. View was great also

Sunbird

We had a nice stay. We took cold showers the first day not knowing the hot water was the opposite of what the faucets says in the bathroom. Would love to see the complex when the renovations are complete. I was unaware there was so much construction prior to booking the property but we had a nice stay.
