We stayed there almost a week, left a day early. Pros: Super cute cabin, lots of hanging and storage space, a kitchen and BBQ to make meals, coffee/tea stand, outside sitting area, feels private, deer in yard, and dog friendly. Thoughtful items to use in cabin. Great location. Cons: We came to relax for a week and it wasn’t so relaxing. There were cobwebs/spiders in all areas of the cabin-a good vacuum cleaning and pest treatment before we arrived could have resolved that issue, likewise brushing off the cobwebs on the outside doors and windows. There was a scorpion on the rug inside the cabin-almost stepped on it with bare feet. The spiders and scorpion left me feeling disconcerted and always on alert. The queen bed mattress (felt smaller than a queen) we thought was uncomfortable (mattress topper could help) and the bed is a tight fit in the room. My husband banged his leg/foot more than once on the baseboard heater as he got in and out of bed. No AC, just a small fan by window to aim at the bed, so even with all windows open it was late into the night before we felt cooling relief to sleep. (It was in the 90’s when we were there). The neighbor dogs barked often and a lot (day and night) and a rooster crowed early each morning disturbing our sleep, and the peace. (There are earplugs by the bed to wear, but still…) We left a day early and got a hotel, slept great that night! We felt the main cons are resolvable, and hope they will be, as it is a super cute cabin.
