The location was perfect and the property exactly as described. You are right in the heart of Kailua. Some notes: We visited in late September and it was quite hot even through the night with all the windows and doors open! If AC is a must for you in the summer months this one may not be a good option. Also, if you plan to ship items to the condo you have to ship through the property manager which is not on site. Finally, the key to the laundry facility mentioned (not in the condo) doesn't work so you will not have a laundry option on site.

Aloha! Thank you for your review! We're so glad you enjoyed the fantastic location in the heart of Kailua-Kona and found the property to be exactly as described! We do want to clarify a couple of things for future guests. The property is advertised without air conditioning, so we always encourage guests to carefully review the amenities before booking, especially during our warmer months. Regarding the laundry facilities, **the laundry key absolutely does work**, and on-site laundry is available to guests. We're sorry if you experienced difficulty accessing the facility, but a quick message to our property management team would have allowed us to assist you right away and ensure you had access. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope you enjoyed your time on the Big Island! Mahalo!

A place to consider

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location for this condo was great if you want to spend time in Kona. The view is great, parking was good, and it was easy to check in. Just keep in mind they don't have AC which I really needed in the evening while on this vacation. Also, the church bells next door will ring on the weekend and wake you up. Th place looked nice and clean and despite all that we found critters which are common on the island. One last issue was the neighbor next door that is a smoker. If it bothers you it will blow into your room.

As noted in the listing, this particular condo does not offer air conditioning, and we always encourage guests who consider AC essential to select a property that specifically includes it. We’re sorry the neighboring smoke and church bells affected your experience, as unfortunately those are outside of our control. As with any tropical destination, occasional insects can make their way indoors despite regular cleaning and preventative measures, but we’re always happy to address any concerns reported during a stay. We appreciate you staying with us and are glad you were able to enjoy the location and views!

Super location. Everything was clean and nice. Very comfy bed. The couch could use replacing but otherwise it was PERFECT.

This was perfect as far as view and proximity to everything! It was a bit loud at times, but settled down after 9pm. We loved our stay here, the bed was very comfy, the couch a bit hard being a pull out, but we didn't spend much time there anyway, too busy enjoying the amazing beaches and walking downtown. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent week long stay

Nicely updated and easy walking distance to shopping and dining. Corner unit is nice and private with great sunset views.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bed was okay, no AC and HOT. Fans helped a little but didn't feel safe opening kitchen and bathroom windows for cross ventilation. Plenty of room but no luggage racks or ironing board.

We do want to mention that the listing and marketing information does state that the property does not have AC, though we certainly understand how the warmer island temperatures may not be ideal for every guest. Ceiling and portable fans are provided to help with airflow and comfort. We also appreciate the suggestions regarding luggage racks and an ironing board and will certainly review those items with the owner for possible future additions. Annual Kailua Kona Away from the Grind

Good overall stay with central location close to stores and restaurants. Amazing view of Kailua Bay. Only thing was one of the glasses was missing when we arrived.

I was a little concerned that there was no AC but with the ocean breeze and ceiling fans there was absolutely no need for it. Loved the view on the balcony and a short walk to lots of restaurants. Very relaxing and comfortable stay.

Nice, clean ocean view condo

We enjoyed the updated condo in a great location with a lovely ocean view. We also got help very quickly when we needed it! I would recommend for any couple or solo traveler and hope to return.

Fun short stay in Kailua

Communication was excellent and made the whole process very easy. The view was wonderful and the unit was very lovely. Had a great time visiting with some ohana.

Great location!

Amazing location to downtown and beach! Hot without AC, but doable with fans and breeze. Clean property and responsive host. Giving a 5 star on the app, but probably would say 4.6 for uncomfortable couch and bed, but we would recommend and we will stay again!
