The Dolphin Hale home in Kauai is an absolute gem. I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s spacious, comfortable, high-end, with a gourmet kitchen and had an absolutely gorgeous view. Tammy, the owner, was gracious, helpful, and quick to communicate on a variety of issues. There were some weather-related issues while we were there and Tammy and her team of Nancy and Chris went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and safe during a very difficult period, all with a smile and good cheer. My friends and I would go back in a heartbeat to visit the Dolphin Hale house.

To say that there were weather-related issues is an understatement. Hurricane Lowell was no joke. Thankfully, all went as well as one could hope. Unfortunately, the Master Ensuite remodel will be postponed as construction workers' skills are sorely needed elsewhere on the island. As I write, the power has yet to be restored on the North Shore. ~ With Aloha, Tammy

Excellent communication with owner and island host. The kitchen fully stocked. Ceiling fans and additional fans were available for every bedroom. A/C worked great in main living area when needed. The home is very clean and well maintained and provides comfortable areas for family gathering around dinner table and in living room. Pictures of home are accurate. Would be happy to return for our next family visit to north shore Kauai.

This is a gorgeous home with an incredible view. My family and I had a great stay here. The only thing that would have made it better would be shades or dark curtains in the bottom floor bedrooms. The sun greeted us every day before 6am; but that would not prevent me from renting again

Well, this is a first. No doubt having the scrub trees cut down at the back of The Dolphin Hale has allowed the natural light to shine in. I would think this a blessing. However, I will take the suggestion of black-out shades under consideration. ~ A hui hou, Tammy

Wonderful (not new) house in a great neighborhood. Great perch with wonderful breezes in afternoon. Find the secret waterfall and beach - they anre awesome! Island hosts were super attentive.

The Dolphin Hale has an interesting history. It was one of the first homes to be built in Princeville for a Judge and his family. Hurricane Iniki wreaked so much damage that it received a new build date in 1993. My husband and I purchased it in 2004 and in 2016 added 1000 sqft of living space, including the Chef's Kitchen you see today. So, no, it is not a new house. However, improvements to this family home have been made every year since. And, I hope you and yours will feel that aloha when you Check-In. ~ E komo mai, Tammy

The view from the house is breathtaking; the house is stunning, especially the kitchen; and the availability of an island hostess was a blessing. We are a very diverse group ranging from 4 to 80 years old; but we all agreed the Dolphin Hale is near heaven on earth

Our family of nine, spanning three generations, had the most wonderful stay at Dolphin Hale. We were in Kauai to celebrate my niece's wedding in beautiful Hanalei Bay, and this home provided the perfect setting for an unforgettable week together.The house is spacious, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully appointed, with large, comfortable bedrooms that gave everyone plenty of room to relax. The spectacular ocean views from the main living area and several of the bedrooms were breathtaking and became one of our favorite parts of each day.We loved the location. The scenic walking paths throughout Princeville are gorgeous, and we rented bikes to explore the area. Beautiful beaches were a short drive away. We took advantage of the hiking trails and fun adventures, such as tubing in Lihue.What made our stay especially memorable was the chance to gather as a family. Dolphin Hale gave us a wonderful place to reconnect, share meals, celebrate, laugh, and simply enjoy being together. Those are memories we'll treasure for years to come.Communication with both the owner and our island host was impeccable. They were responsive, attentive, and anything we needed was handled immediately. Their care and hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable.Dolphin Hale provided far more than a beautiful place to stay—it gave our family the perfect home for a week we'll never forget. We are incredibly grateful for our time here and would gladly return on a future visit.

Host was great; welcoming and responsive. House was terrific with great views abd amenities; but not a good choice for our senior citizens. We had 3 falls. No injuriesexcept for pride!

First, let me say that this is the first time I am learning of the falls. I, however, am glad that there were no injuries. As stated in this listing, The Dolphin Hale is a tri-level home. That means there are three levels and two sets of stairs. Future Guests would do well to take this into consideration if any party members have an issue with stairs or otherwise are not surefooted. ~ Mahalo, Tammy

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Dolphin Hale. So many things to complement the team on. House was clean, as advertised and tons of very helpful amenities like beach/snorkel gear, kitchen utensils, coookies on arrival, well stocked pantry. The views are amazing! Saw lots of whales and many bird species. We had 11 in our party including 2 toddlers under 4 and it slept us all very well with plenty of room. The hosts were fantastic and gave replies to questions very quickly and happily. Overall a fantastic stay!

This home is absolutely lovely. Our host was very responsive and there were more amenities than I expected, including an air fryer and a blender. The beach is a 10 minute drive away but the views from the deck more than make up for the lack of beach access. And if you have to work on vacation, the master bedroom has a desk with the most stunning view. The home is in a quiet and beautiful Princeville neighborhood with a grocery store just minutes away to stock up on food and drinks. We highly recommend this property!

I think Air Fryers are the next best thing to sliced bread! I'm glad you appreciated the Ninja and other house amenities. Sometimes it's the small things that make the biggest difference when it comes to a comfortable stay. There actually is a trail head just down the street from the house to Sealodge Beach. Great Vacation Home

Location was great with beautiful ocean views. Home was perfect for our family of 10 and enjoyed meals and hanging out in the kitchen and dining room. Check-in and check-out was simple and communication with property manager was excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

Aloha John ~ Clayton and I agree with you. The North Shore, in particular Princeville (where The Dolphin Hale is located), is one of our favorite places to be. The community itself offers amenities that are FREE for all to enjoy. Most notably these include the parks. Prince Albert Park offers families with small children a playground to expend some of that energy, especially after a long flight. There also is a Fitness Circuit for the parents. Emmalani Park offers teens and adults basketball courts and a newly resurfaced pickleball court. Additionally, there is the community jogging/walking path that allows ALL to partake of the outdoors and fresh air at their own pace. What's not to love? ~ With Aloha, Tammy

While not usually mentioned, Guest safety is a priority at The Dolphin Hale. As part of the Princeville at Hanalei Community Association (PHCA), Guests benefit from the roving community patrol as well as other community safeguards. We loved staying here! It was absolutely perfect for our group of 3 siblings and spouses. Beautiful location and helpful hostess made for a wonderful vacation. We are SO happy we stayed on this property. 🙂

Beautiful home and great location.

The house worked well for our family of 9- ranging from tween to older adults. The kitchen was beautiful and fun for us to cook and share meals together.
