Lovely two-bedroom lake house overlooking the private 20-acre lake on a 300-acre ranch. There are various trails through pastures, woods, around the large lake, and to a smaller lake hidden in the woods. Fish from wooden piers, three paddle boats, or your own human powered watercraft. Pool table and dart board in patio. High speed internet provided. Ring cameras are around ranch work shed area.

Such a good get away spot. Lots to do- play area, hiking trails, pedal boats, and kayaks and we played pool every night. We loved it!

Weekend getaway

Perfect weekend getaway. Exactly as listed, plenty of fishing, hiking, and boating. Highly recommend. Will be planning another trip soon!

We loved fishing and using the paddle boats on the lake. The kids enjoyed the ping pong, pool table , and darts. The cantina cabin is the perfect size for a family of four.

I have stayed in over 20 short term rentals, this is bi far the best!!! I can’t say enough about this place! If you’re looking to get some peace and tranquility in east Texas and you don’t rent this place… you’re dumb the price point is great especially for what you get. The manager on site is super friendly, and respectful of your privacy. We will definitely be back!!

Cantina Cabin

Perfect for our family! We enjoyed pool table, ping pong, darts, and the closeness of the lake. We fished everywhere-the bank, docks, and really enjoyed the paddle boats! The extra large bathroom was perfect for my mother in law, who uses a wheelchair, walker, and electric scooter. She had a ball getting to fish from the bank and dock. We highly recommend this place! We definitely hope to go back sometime soon!

Hidden Gem

This is our second stay at this amazing property, and it was just as fabulous as the first! The houses are so cute and has most of what you need to cook a meal. We came on thanksgiving so we brought a lot of kitchen items with us. The property is fabulous with so many trails we still haven't hiked them all. The lake is the perfect size for playing around on paddle boats and we brought our kayaks. It really is such a special place. The only negative is the communication with the manager is non existent. I send multiple messages through VRBO, and they never replied to any of them. Luckily I had the ranch foreman's number from last year, so I texted him about all our needs, and he replied immediately. We will definitely be back, but whoever is managing the listings on VRBO needs to take the job more seriously, or they need to find someone else to do it. Its very frustrating to need to talk to someone about our trip and being ignored.

We're going back

We had a great time; the view, the enclosed porch, cleanliness, the dogs that welcome you once you arrive, nearby Ben Wheeler, it all made for a great weekend getaway, would highly recommend. Read a review about lack of privacy, yes there were 3 other cabins but no invasion of privacy and we felt at home, so did our 2 dogs.

False advertising

There are 4 cabins so not a private cabin on a private lake. The cabin next to us had 40 people for a party that lasted past 1 am. The music was so loud from 50 yards we could not fish. One of the guests of the renter threatened us with verbal abuse. We were told she left, she did not. Steve, property manager, did his best but I am very very angry and disappointed for this weekend. It was a birthday and celebration of life of our partner who died on thanksgiving. I have repeatedly tried to contact the owners about this and they have refused to even answer me.
