We enjoyed our stay at the property. The home was clean, the location was quiet, and communication with the owner was straightforward. Overall, it met our needs for a relaxing visit to Cape San Blas.

Reel Blessings was the perfect house for a perfect vacation

The pool was absolutely wonderful. Loved the very short walk to the beach. The staff at Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals was very helpful when booking and during our stay. Locat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location, location, location, love this place in proximity to the beach. It was nice having chairs, etc. delivered to make the Quiktrip down to the ocean even smoother. The place is very clean. We only had a few minor issues with the grill previous guests left it pretty messy. They could use a little more shade around the pool, but there was a nice umbrella. It needs a stand, but it did work sufficiently for some shade. I would highly recommend upgrading the grill. The downstairs rollout couch also could use a new mattress pad. It’s been well used I still definitely recommend the place because of location well stocked kitchen and very quiet beach.

Pet friendly,No bathroom on main floor,so you have to go up 14 stairs or down 14 stairs.The pool was never maintained the two weeks we stayed at this property

This house was absolutely perfect!! Our family was so happy and comfortable during our stay. This house was so thoughtfully designed. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice house close to the beach

Short walk to the beach and walkable to Had an ant problem but the company got pest control out quickly.

Much needed R & R

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Before we even arrived, we received a phone call to let us know the unit was available two or three hours early. The property was excellent. The amenities were fantastic. We wanted for nothing. When we did have to call the office, they were awesome. The entire trip was more than we were expecting. I tried real hard to find fault with this property but could not find anything to complain about. Thank you for a fantastic much needed vacation spot. We are sure to return in the future.

Wonderful Home

Private pool with outdoor shower was awesome. Love that the house is so close to the beach that we felt comfortable to let our kids walk back and forth between the house and beach.

Perfect Beach Getaway – Clean, Cozy, and Dog-Friendly!

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with how clean and well-maintained the house was. The location couldn’t be better – a short walk to the beach and just minutes from stores, making it super convenient for anything we needed.The home itself was cozy and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen that had everything we needed to cook meals. The beds were incredibly comfy, making for restful nights after long days in the sun. They even included a leash and ball for our dog. It truly felt like a home away from home!We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, pet-friendly beach retreat. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Would not stay in this home again

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house wasn't the best for the money. The queen bed was hard and still had sand the same day we arrived in it. The queen bedroom remote did not work even with new batteries. The lights would be turned up in the living room and kitchen but would stay dim. The dust pan for the broom in the kitchen was not usable as it would not "catch" the items you were sweeping up. All knifes were dull. The pool lights did not work. However, the location of the home was great and the size for 4 adults and 4 children.

Great House - needs a new management company

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful house and location. The house was not ready at check in time. No communication to let us know that it would not be ready. Had a concern with some of the flooring when we first checked in. A maintenance man showed up unannounced opened our door with two dogs inside. When we discovered that the dishwasher was not working, again another maintenance man showed up unannounced, but did knock this time. He determined that he could not resolve the issue and would probably hear from another person who would come later. We did not hear anything else until a guy showed up with a new dishwasher to install at the same time we were leaving for dinner, three days later. Communication is definitely an opportunity for this company. Again, the house and location were great!

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. While we're thrilled that you loved Reel Blessings as much as we do, we also feel that we need to offer an explanation on our communication that was not received. Text messages are our main form of contact while a guest is staying with us, as most people will get those before they check emails on vacation. I pulled up the text log and there were actually several messages that went out to the guest with updates on exactly who was coming out, and when. If the phone number on file was entered incorrectly when the guest booked online, that's not something that we have any way of knowing. Stating that this home "needs a new management company" for something that was through no fault of our own is simply unreasonable. We do apologize for the inconvenience of having our maintenance guys coming in the house, and completely agree that they should have announced themselves. This is something that we will definitely address with our maintenance team. We appreciate your feedback, and hope that you will consider us in the future.

Ideal Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Reel Blessings is a beautiful beachy home. It is nicely decorated with updated furniture and overall fresh look. There are lots of stairs and no main level powder room, in case this is a problem for some. However, lots of stairs also means lots of decks which is perfect for a beach house. It is a newer house in a neighborhood that is currently undergoing new construction so there is a lot of construction mess/trash in the neighborhood and along the private access to the beach. The beach access is super convenient; however, we had to watch for nails on the path as two houses under construction surround the access path and it is a mess. Easy walk from house to a beautiful beach that we came and went from all day. The house currently has a terrific view of the ocean that is breathtaking. This will likely change once other homes are built up in front of it, but for now, it is spectacular with plenty of decks and balconies to choose from. Other than construction mess, the neighborhood is small with pretty beach homes. The home had everything we needed to make Thanksgiving dinner. As others mentioned, it appears the very lower level does not have HVAC so it was chilly down there on cold November nights. This was a minor issue. There is a decent sized pool, but it was too cold to swim in November. Bring your groceries with you as there aren't many options nearby other than the small Piggly Wiggly where it's lone grocer status is reflected in the prices. Lots of local mom and pop shopping and dining options in the area which is a refreshing change. We purchased bagged fresh shrimp from a local seller twice to-go. This is a dog friendly area where most other houses had dogs in them and many dogs on the beach. Overall, we loved our stay at Reel Blessings. We rent beach houses along the panhandle 2-3 times a year, and this is by far our favorite. We would definitely stay here again!

Great property! This was our first time visiting this part of the coast and Reel Blessings was the perfect space for us. Photos don’t do it justice. It was clean, in a wonderful small community and had great views. The top rear deck was a favorite spot for reading, enjoying a beverage, and viewing the ocean. We didn’t mind not being beachfront because it was such a short, easy walk to get there. The kitchen was well stocked, too! The pool was the nicest one we’ve had at this price point. Clean, easy in/out, and plenty of seating options.

Relax-cation

I would rent this home again. I especially loved the personal touches, like candles thru the home you could burn (it's a girl thing!) Beach is lovely, very fine sugar sand and semi-private during our early May stay. The people we met were all friendly and we enjoyed our interactions with them. Some days(late in the evening) we were the only ones on the entire beach. Our pup loved the trip too, everyone was welcoming to him around the neighborhood/beach.

Family vacation

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the pool and the close proximity to the beach. The views are amazing. We absolutely loved all the decks and outdoor seating that was available. Other than some minor maintenance issues (broken towel racks, unstable dining table, loose fence spindles, smelly washing machine) and extremely minor housekeeping oversights (dirty guest shower and floors not swept well) it was PERFECT for our large family. Everyone had their own space to escape to. It felt like home. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
