We loved our stay, it was relaxing and peaceful. We loved the trails and any sights nearby were within a half an hour to a one hour drive.

So relaxing!

The stream right next to the cabin provides endless nature sounds and the frogs at night were music to our ears. We had a very nice stay and will definitely be back!!

Enjoy nature’s best viewing-deer, chipmunks, birds singing, peepers calling, star viewing!

Beautiful natural landscape, walking trails and privacy provided a peaceful visit. Too bad it rained everyday :( !

A very relaxing trip! Loved swing on the front porch watching the chipmunks playing in the stream below,… drinking coffee listening to the stream was the way I started every day and end it by the fire pit roasting marshmallows Thanks it was perfect for us!!!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary and it did NOT disappoint. Very secluded cabin by a stream. We spent mornings and evenings outside on the porch enjoying all the sounds of nature and none of the nearby roads. Melinda and Richard were very responsive to a few questions at the beginning of our stay. The cabin was very clean, the kitchen was very well appointed with everything we needed, and the toilet paper and paper towels were top notch!! (It may seem like a little thing but it's not). The host also provided laundry and dish cleaning supplies. I highly recommend this cabin if you are looking for a place outside of the hub bub of the nearby towns. A 30 minute drive in several different directions will get you to Boone or West Jefferson. Enjoy!!

Excellent cabin

This was a very clean and well maintained cabin. It is secluded with lots of trails for hiking. There is plenty of room. The location is a good spot and an easy drive to several things around. I will definitely be staying there again.

Birthday adventure!

Spent a few days touring the foliage and celebrating my wife’s birthday. Had a spectacular time and love the cabin. It’s our second visit. We love the property.

Excellent Vacation getaway

We enjoyed our vacation at this beautiful property, the scenery was breath taking. Melinda was a great host, it was easy to contact her for any reason. We enjoyed other sites nearby that were less than an hour away in any direction from the property. We will definitely be back.

Did not disappoint. The decor and amenities were everything you could ask for. So quiet and peaceful. Great way to start the New Year. Can’t wait to stay again.

Wonderful

Our second stay at this lovely cabin! This trip, we decided to bring family and friends along and take advantage of the tiny house on the property! Everyone loved it!! Such a wonderful experience and can’t wait to come back again!

Pet friendly paradise.

Very hard to find a rental that allows pets, especially large breed dogs, and this beautiful cabin on 10 acres was absolutely perfect and pet friendly. The property was just as listed and the owners took extra care to make sure we had everything we could need for our stay including a personalized firewood bin for our winter stay, not to mention being very prompt with any questions or concerns that we had. Can't recommend enough, we had an incredible stay here.

Peaceful seclusion

This cabin is fantastic. We had everything we needed and throughly enjoyed our stay. The nature trails were a plus, along with an authentic babbling brook. The dogs loved to roam the ten acres and we didn’t have to worry about their safety. If you are seeking a beautiful and secluded cabin, this is an excellent choice.

Rough and bumpy windy roads to nature

Beautiful landscaping, peace and quiet exists in this mountain retreat! Lots of birds, hooting owls and a chipmunk to enjoy. A “ fairy trail” to explore, imaginative detail in design.

great cabin & private property

We adored this cabin & the surrounding land! We trail ran with the dogs every day & were inspired to decorate our own trails with such cute decor. The pond & streams were also very impressive- makes us want to return in the Summer months! The accommodations were more than ample & allowed us the mountain privacy that we love. The cabin is a distance from other entertainment, but that was the point in renting such a private property!

Cabin in the woods

Great cabin for relaxation! Had all the amenities. Pets loved the trails. We enjoyed hiking, exploring the area as well as watching the horses in the neighborhood. Great time for all who enjoy the outdoors. Cabin was also very clean and well equipped. This will be marked on our return list!

Our new favorite getaway spot

We couldn't have picked a better location to celebrate our anniversary! This cabin is a little piece of heaven tucked away in acres of woods. The sound of the creek was so peaceful. The cabin was well stocked with everything you need. We were hoping to be snowed in so we could stay longer! We will definitely be back!

Our second stay at this terrific retreat!

Loved the log cabin which was clean, well stocked and perfectly decorated. Appreciated the extra touches such as the flowers, candy and snack basket. Nature abounds in a peaceful, well planned retreat which includes a fairy trail. Love the secluded setting by the pond, babbling creek and wildlife. Truly a Dream by the Stream. We look forward to a return visit.
