The road makes you earn the view (it’s not that bad, but my M3 would have never made it), but it’s so worth it! Super cozy house! We really enjoyed our time. Thank you!

This pet friendly house was absolutely wonderful for our group. It was very, very clean well stocked with items and the beds were very comfortable. The drive up is a little bit difficult and parking is very tight however the view more than makes up for it an absolutely stunning view.

This was our 3rd stay at Lookout Place. The views are amazing, and the house is close to everything. House is clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We will be back!

The house is second from the top of the mountain. The road up is winding like you’d expect with a few sphincter tightening moments. You really need a truck but a decent suv is fine. The accommodations were great and flowed well. The back porch was where we spent most of our time. The views are amazing! We hiked a lot at Boone Fork Trail as it is one of the most beautiful I’ve hiked. Hebron Falls is perfect!! Price Lake and the whole Blue Ridge Parkway area has lakes and trails galore. Blowing Rock was amazing. Boone (the town) was ok but we really loved Blowing Rock. Highlight was seeing a black bear walk by the driveway one night at dusk! . Will definitely return to this awesome place.

Amazing views from the porches and throughout the cabin! Host always responded to my messages within minutes and was extremely helpful and accommodating. Cabin was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. Would love to book again next time we’re in the area!

We took a weekend vacation before school resumed and the twins are born. This was perfect. Fog covered mountains, uphill drives, and 15 minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock. The place was clean and most importantly simple. It was exactly what we needed for our 5 year olds first mountain trip.

I loved this place! The views were amazing, the bed was comfy and everything was just as explained on VRBO. My dogs enjoyed chasing their toy in the driveway and down the hill!

Great Views

We really enjoyed our stay! Great views! A little hairy getting up to the cabin when the fog rolled in Friday night. Overall a great stay! Easy drives to many local attractions.

Great views

View was incredible!! Property was lovely and comfortable, would definitely stay again. One note, the drive up is quite steep on a gravel road so a larger vehicle is preferable to access the property.

View was nice but the cabin was not what we expected. The step to the entry door was wobbly. House smelled musky like it had not been used in a while. I have allergies to dust and mold and my allergies kicked in soon after arriving. My husband and I both got sinus headaches, I developed a bad cough and my husband woke up with a sore throat after the first night. The AC was not central air, it was window units which were noisy and probably contributed to our allergy issues. We were unable to sleep well because of this. Also no dishwasher. Dishes have to be hand washed. I had to wash several dishes before using them because there was food residue on them. We only stayed one night of our 3 night stay. Will not rent there again. Sorry.

Mom’s 80th Birthday

We had the best time celebrating my mother’s 80th Birthday in the mountains. We wanted a porch with a good view and this house was perfect! Comfy beds, clean, easy check in, loved the drive up the mountain. We will definitely be back!

Girls trip

Enjoyed a fantastic week of both relaxation and fun. The view is absolutely breathtaking with ever changing colors and backdrop from sunrise to sunset. The drive up the mountain is a bit hairy but the view makes it all worthwhile. The house had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable.
