Beautiful back yard with a firepit. Close to a beach and a boat launching site.

Just the cutest little cottage that has all the necessities. Plus the backyard, the daily deer visits, the proximity to the ocean and dog-friendly pond. We had scheduled a 5 day stay and loved the location so much extended it 10 more days! Maggie, the host, was responsive and easy to communicate with. My husband loved Roque Bluffs so much we want to come back again next spring! By the way, our bloodhound had the time of his life- and is quite sad he had to come back home.

Wonderful location, just a short drive to the state park. Our dogs loved the yard, very family friendly! Everything you need was there and many other thoughtful touches. Felt like home…would definitely recommend.

This is a comfortable cottage with a large yard very close to Roque Bluffs State Park and close to other areas that we wanted to explore like Reversing Falls, Lubec, and Eastport. My granddaughters loved running around the yard and making s'mores as well as cuddling up on the sunporch.

This place was wonderful! The beds comfy and cozy. I loved the back porch, the option for a fire pit was great even though we didn’t use it. The bathroom was nicely stocked and so was the kitchen. I love how close it is to Rogue Bluffs, only a 15-20 minute walk. The blueberry loaf Ms.Maggie made was delicious and just perfect with coffee in the morning in the back porch. Thank you so much!

The cottage was well equipped. Had everything we needed from dishes to toiletries. Our host thought of everything! Even fresh baked blueberry bread!Also enjoyed the fact the bedrooms were on opposite ends of the cottage.I was worried the house was so close to the road but it was no an issue. No road noise and rarely saw many cars pass.Loved that the beach was a 15-20 minute walk away or a couple of minutes by car. And the town of Machias just a short ride.Would return again!Thanks Maggie!!

Great stay at the Bluffs Cottage!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bluffs Cottage on our recent tour. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped for our needs, and attractively decorated. We appreciated being able to eat breakfast outside at the back of the cottage when the weather was dry and warm. Indoors it did feel a bit dim on the one foggy day during our stay, particularly in the living room but also in the kitchen/dining area.We spent one day exploring nearby, including the walk to the Roque Bluffs State Park and along the road to the bay beyond. We were interested to find the local museum open at the Gates House in Machiasport, which was fascinating as it helped us to learn about the history of the area too. We took a trip to Lubec and went whale watching, which was excellent on a sunny day in combination with a visit to the Old Sow whirlpool. We would love to stay in the cottage again if we were ever back in the area. We saw deer outside the cottage a couple of times, and from a British birdwatcher's point of view it was good to see several species from or close by the cottage that we would not find in the UK.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was conveniently located near family and to the wedding venue we attended. Our host, Maggie, was great! She was kind and very responsive. She had everything perfectly setup for our visit. It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were super comfortable. The washer and dryer definitely came in handy! We are very glad to have found this place.

We stayed with our 2 kids and dog and had a great time. Location is great - quiet with plenty of space to yourself but easy to get around the area. Cottage itself is clean and comfortable and is well-stocked with anything you might need or may have forgotten. It was clear that a lot of thought and effort had been put into ensuring we had the best experience. Great communication and a responsive host made for a very easy stay with no hiccups.
