Location was awesome easy to walk to shops, beach, grocery, golf course, the Lava Club. Beach is a great beach with lots of activities. Well stocked with pots and pans we needed and much appreciated beach gear; umbrellas, goggles, chairs and even a beach wagon to pull everything down to the beach. Pool and grill area was great and AC worked well. We will stay here again. Host was even able to accommodate our travel extension due to the crazy storms our flights got canceled, thank you!!!!Stayed with 3 couples and everyone had their privacy.

We’re so glad you enjoyed the location and were able to take advantage of everything nearby—from the beach to the shops and golf course. It’s great to hear the home had everything you needed, especially the beach gear and kitchen essentials, and that everyone in your group was comfortable with plenty of space and privacy. We’re also happy we could accommodate your extended stay during the storm—travel delays are never easy, and we’re glad it all worked out. We truly appreciate you staying with us and would love to host you again anytime. Mahalo!

Great Location

We overall very happy with our stay here. The location and ground are beautiful. We really enjoyed the pool. The condo unit had a well stocked kitchen. It had a great supply of regular towels and beach towels which was very handy. Overall it was fairly clean but the floors and windows could have used a cleaning. We would stay here again

Perfect property for family vacation!

This rental property was truly perfect. It was bigger than expected, loaded with amenities, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated with vintage Hawaiiana. The air conditioning was WONDERFUL after a long day in the sun! As a corner unit with a lanai overlooking the golf course, it felt very quiet and private despite being less than a five minute walk to a great grocery store, shops, and a three-minute drive (or 15 minute walk) to the beach. 10/10 will definitely stay here again!

Kona Visit

Wonderful condo for our 3 generation family vacation. The Queen and King shops were a delight with the Hula and FireDance shows. My girls loved that they didn’t have to share a bed. The pool with the infinity wall was wonderful!! Never too cold, the other families were a delight, and the walk was a quick breeze. Wonderful setup for our needs. Thank you!

Beautiful, Very Quiet Condo

We had five nights here and for the most part stayed fairly close to home. Youngest members of party weren't feeling well so this was a slower time for all of us. The girls enjoyed watching the mongoose and other wild creatures around here...as did we all. Even saw some turkeys. And it was enjoyable watching those who were golfing. A beautiful place! Thank you.

Best location

Best location in Fairway Villas. Very private. On the golf fairway. Well equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels. Only negative is the interior needs a refresh. Over decorated. Way too much carpet everywhere, even in dining area. I would rent again, though.

Excellent staycation

The only problems were 2 solar lights at the front entrance walkway close to the door was not working, blue centipedes at night on the lanai and also spiders. It’s a simple fix by doing pest control. Overall, We enjoyed our time and looking forward to renting out the unit again!!! Aloha, Jennifer C.

A Wonderful Property

Being a Hawaii resident, I have stayed in numerous condos in the various Kohala coast resorts, and this was one of the best. Well appointed, very clean, and perfectly located for walking to everything. Being an end unit, it also provider added privacy. The property managers were very communicative and made the whole in/out process seamless. I highly recommend. My only recommendation - buy a spatula for the kitchen.

Feb.2023 two week stay by 4 friends.

Loved the space and the bathrooms to adjoining bedrooms. Location was just right and it was very quiet. The pictures on the site are a bit misleading; this is a dated home but we understand will be undergoing renovations in March 2023. They are badly needed. The two paisley chairs in the living room are very badly stained and worn as is the carpet throughout. It could have been much cleaner and the kitchen cutlery was a bit skimpy. We reported light bulb outages and did have one visit from FIrst Realty rep.but it was not resolved for our visit (but I will say that we said it was not huge problem for us at the time.) Hopefully post renovations this will be a more modern and cleaner rental.

Pictures don't tell a full story~

Location 5 stars, pool 5 stars, check-in 5 stars, size of unit 5 stars, but only two stars for cleanliness and overall condition of this unit. Prior to finalizing, I had reached out to the management company and asked if the photo's were current. I have an email saying yes, the photos are current~ I call BS on that one! I have photos to prove differently. Not only was the unit not properly cleaned, it's dated, needs repairs, updating, painting, new carpets, etc. The air/heating vents appear to be rusting, the ceiling fans had dark dirty blade rims and dispersed dust when turned on! The restroom floor mats are old and dirty, as were the carpets. The walls & floorboards are damaged and in need of repairs & painting, there is a see through crack in the front door! It's an electric stove, but the temp numbers around the knobs had worn off which made use much harder. Clearly these photos do not properly represent the current condition of this unit~ I'd be happy to rent in FairWay Villas again, just not this unit!

Aloha Ron, We're very surprised by this review as we have had great feedback from all our previous guests including the guest who checked out just days before you arrived. This is a really wonderful unit and location! We have scheduled this unit for deep cleaning this week and are addressing any cleanliness issues with housekeeping. New flooring is being installed downstairs this month as well as new TVs. We feel the pictures are representative of the unit, but do plan to take new pictures after upgrades are completed. Kona Coast Perfection

I grew up near by in Kona but brought my family out for their first visit to the Island. This location was perfect. Beautiful condo with everything you could need. Beach near by , A-Bay is beautiful. Stores and shops all within a short walk. This location is also centrally located to explore all the many other sites on the island. Waking up ever morning seeing the sunrise over Mayan Kea was priceless. We all can not wait to return!
