$20.00 per person for wrist band to access pool should be told upfront

Needs some work. Master toilet would not flush. Floater is broken away from chain. Kreig did not work. TV remotes were a mess. Ice maker did not work. Solid block of ice in it. Need instruction on how to work TV and which remote goes to TV. I think you need two remotes for each TV.

Short getaway Mother’s Day weekend

We’ve stayed at Pointe West a few times. It’s been our go to for a quick getaway from Houston. This particular property is very nice. It’s on the bay side. Very clean and property manager was excellent in making sure everything was just right.

Vacation memories are the best!

This unit was perfect for our group. It was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. We ended up eating in each night after long days on the beach. The back patio was perfect for watching the sunset! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Daniel for all your communications, very thorough and always responsive.

Nice but not what we expected

First off let me say this is a nice property and maybe you would enjoy it if you were looking for a secluded, quiet getaway in an apartment building away from Galveston traffic. There were some issues that I hope they fix for future guests such as tub not draining properly and built up with water, master bath sink not draining and not able to use, no dishwasher detergent to clean dishes, old food left in bedroom from previous guests left “clean rating” questionable. The place took a whole evening to cool off and we were not welcomed with a nice cool place with everything looking inviting and welcoming on arrival. The patio was a mess and we had to put all the furniture back, move boxes, and lay the carpet down that was attempted to kept down with duck tape. The cleaning between visits could be better. The description of the place was misleading with everything in the pictures not being within walking distance. We were not a minute drive to the beach, the boardwalk to the beach is 3-5 min drive across a busy highway with a pretty good trek to the public beach from the narrow wooden boardwalk which made it challenging to bring ice chest and easy up because there is no shade, $25 per person to use pools that were small and crowded again not at all within walking distance, everything was a short drive (5 minutes) and luckily we did bring our Mule ATV to navigate the area. Driving on the San Luis beach requires a 4x4 vehicle.

Relaxing Getaway

Picturesque and relaxing views of the bay. The condo was spacious and clean. It accommodated our group of 5 nicely. We appreciated having access to beach chairs and beach supplies. The condo was located across the street from the main Beach Club and boardwalk to the beach. We would drive and park over there to enjoy the amenities. The owner was great to work with and we enjoyed our stay. Would come again!

Peaceful Retreat

Our family loved our stay! The condo was very nice, there was great beach access, and the pools and hot tub were not crowded. We did rent a golf cart to get around the property. The condos cover a large area on both side of the road. It is about 30 minutes into Galveston, but I enjoyed the quiet that West Beach offered us!

Family vacation

Excellent spot to stay, we had all 5 of our kids plus a grandbaby and there was enough space for all! Host was great at answering questions and providing anything we could need. Grills by the condo, nice back porch, only advice is buy your wristbands the first day so you can access pool the entire stay

Family vacation for 8

Property was very clean, any questions about the property were answered quickly by Daniel. We had 6 adults and 2 children for a week at the property. Another bathroom would of been nice but we made it work. The lazy River, pool and hot tub were nice to use and clean. It’s about 30 minutes from town so make sure you have the essentials. There is a small store approx 10 min up the road that has a lot. I would recommend the property.

We will stay again!

We completely enjoyed our time here. I’m extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness and this place definitely met my expectations! We had everything we needed in the kitchen for our trip. Daniel was able to fix the hiccup we had with the club quickly and we were very appreciative! We will be back next year for sure.

Bayside 1st Floor Condo

Pros: Clean, spacious unit. Fully equipped kitchen. Quiet location with great sunset views. As described in listing. Cons: Arrived and found bedroom closet door hanging off door frame. Bedroom carpets and bathroom rugs could use a good cleaning. Tips: Renting a golf cart to get around property is suggested. Bring beach towels; only 4 small towels provided. Seven Seas Market about 10 minutes from property is a great place to pick up groceries.

Great location, great amenities

Condo was exactly as described- perfect getaway to the beach and pools. We fit 4 adults and 4 kids comfortably in the condo. It had everything we needed! The pool and beach clubs were beautiful! I would definitely recommend renting a golf cart for getting around the resort.

Great property!

Plenty of room for our family of 6- the space was larger than it appears the photos. Loved the outdoor deck and quiet location. The condo was well equipped with great views. The beach and pool were pleasant and easily accessible. The private beach was amazing- much less crowded than the sea wall in Galveston. We did not try the on-site restaurant as it was not open on the dates/times we were interested. As others suggested, a golf cart rental makes it easy to get around the property. Keep in mind, the rental cost was a bit more than we expected. Our first trip to Texas and we loved it. Would recommend the property!

Quiet and relaxing

This is a great property, with nice views of the gulf. The main resort area, with beach access, is across the road. Lots of amenities and a great property manager…we had a very relaxing stay!

Great condo!

We had a great time at this condo! Super clean, nicely decorated and pretty view of the bay. Plenty of room for us and my high school daughter and her friends. Very comfy beds. We have stayed at several condos in Pointe West and will definitely come back to this one!

A winter getaway

We visited Galvaston to get away from winter in Colorado for a couple weeks. Che condo waas delightful and clean. Extra beach equipment was a nice tough. However it I would have been nice if th hosts had turned on the ffurnace in the condo because it was winter inside! We missed the elevator as several others did. We also got tired of driving 25 mines to town were all the restaurants and attractions are. Except for very windy and cold weather, we enjoyed our stay.

New Years Nirvana

We had a wonderful time. The property was clean, welcoming, and perfect for our New Years getaway. It was so peaceful and relaxing and just minutes away from the beach. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway near the beach.
