We traveled with our Son, Daughter-in-law and 3 grandkids. By far the easiest door to beach setup property we have ever stayed. Of course the hurricane was eventful but Southwind condo weathered the storm! Erin and her husband Chris were great! Chris brought us by flashlight and batteries and made sure we were all okay. I would mention the loft bedroom is great but we did not let our 2 youngest grandkids up there. It was explained well in the booking that it was a loft style bedroom. Definitely can see that spot as a teen hangout/bed room . My husband and I and our oldest grandchild slept in the loft . We had everything we needed in the kitchen for the meals we did cook. This part of PCB was less crowded and we like it that way. Will definitely stay here again!!

This condo was perfect for my family. If you have teenagers, this is perfect! Pickleball, pool, putting green, and very close to the beach! Alvin’s Island is within walking distance so we were able to go down and get little last minutes stuff we forgot. The unit is clean and the perfect location!

We loved our stay at this rental! Erin and her husband were so helpful, nice, accommodating and prompt. The condo was very clean, very nicely decorated and stocked with all we needed for the week. The front facing view of the gulf was amazing! Highly recommended!

Amazing condo

Our stay was wonderful! Communication was great from the very start! We have been staying in the Southwind condominiums for 20+ years! It’s always quiet and pleasant! The place was perfect for our family. Clean and everything we needed was there! I would definitely recommend staying here!

Repeat Renter

We enjoyed the condo so much in February that we wanted to rent again from Erin. The location of Southwind L8 is perfect for us. The check in/out is so easy and the condo is kept very clean. Look forward to a visit this fall.

Valentine Get Away

We found this wonderful condo in February 2023 and have rented numerous times since then. Every visit has found the property clean and ready for check in. The location of L8 is great at Southwind having the front patio facing the ocean and only steps to the sand. Parking is also great. Looking forward to many more rentals.

Birthday & Holiday Getaway

This was our 4th time to stay at this condo. Everything about the condo is great for us. Always clean, and ready for check in. First time that we had family stay and they loved the upstairs bedroom and bath. Southwind L8 is at a nice location away from other busy areas. Plan to book here in 2024.

Nice location

We have stayed at Southwind before, but not this corner unit second floor facing the beach. The only dislikes were all the cameras, especially the one inside. Also, there is no ice maker or ice bucket. There were only 2 ice trays and 1 leaked. It took 2 days to have enough ice for drinks and ice had to be placed in a ziplock bag. We did not do any cooking so I cannot review the range or oven, but the dishwasher and microwave worked well. It would be nice to have a small high top bistro table on the balcony so meals could be enjoyed with a view of the gulf. The bar inside does not face the windows, so again no dining view. Beach chairs & towels are well used & the beach umbrella was broken, so we didn’t try to use it. There was a nice beach wagon to load up all the things you may need, including lots of sand toys for children, but we did not use it either. We did contact the owner to see if we could check in 30 mins early, but received no response, so we just sat in the parking lot. There was a lot of sand on the sidewalks & parking lot, so to prevent tracking sand inside was a challenge. We never saw any condo maintenance. We did not utilize the pool in the back and sadly the tennis court has not been maintained. We love the quietness of the West End beaches. This unit was very clean and the king bed was comfortable. We would recommend staying here.

Thank you for the positive review! I do want to clarify one thing. We DO NOT have ANY cameras inside our unit. The only security cameras we have are the ones disclosed in the listing and they are outside facing the walkway. This is for your safety. I have no idea what you saw that gave you the idea we have a camera inside but that is NOT an accurate statement.

This place was cute and conveniently across street from the beach. It truly wasn’t a bad walk to the beach at all. I’ve stayed in many condos on the beach and this walk honestly didn’t seem further than them. The host communicated very well. I gave 4 stars for the check in process only because it took me a few emails to realize what the actual condo number was (which I didn’t think about until we arrived late at night). Also, only 1 toilet paper per bathroom (2 total) (so we had to go buy some). The upstairs shower was clogged so everyone showered down stairs which was a little inconvenient but I let host know so they can look into that. Lastly, the beds were very comfortable. Even our kids agreed. I have neck and back problems and I woke up every day with my body feeling good. So that’s extra bonus plus!
