New England Family getaway

Our family of eight stayed in this beautiful historic home for a week while we explored Newport, Jamestown Narragansett and Block Island. Centrally located to all of these we were able to explore the Rhode Island area with these. The home was very comfortable spacious and we simply loved it.

Quick family trip

Our stay was amazing. Erin, the owner, was very responsive, within minutes most times. The house is gorgeous with amenities that I haven’t seen in other places we have stayed. The beach isn’t far. URI campus is right there and is gorgeous. I would love to stay here again.

This property is beautiful! It is an older, historic home with a lot of interesting history but also all the modern amenities needed these days. It is much more beautiful and spacious than the photos show! The large outdoor area has many seating options and is very pretty and peaceful! The driveway easily fits 4-5 cars, and there are enough bedrooms and bathrooms for larger groups. The kitchen and dining room are open and had plenty of space for our 8 person plus 1 baby group. We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect for day trips (several times) to Newport - about 25 minutes away depending on traffic, Jamestown, Beavertail State Park (lighthouse), the Castle Inn for drinks with a view from adirondack chairs, and even Mystic, CT (went to the aquarium there). Just a really great location. Many restaurants and coffee places nearby as well as a brewery and at least 3 beach options a short drive away (10-15 minutes). Owner Erin was amazing to deal with, we had a wheelchair-bound guest with us and had many questions that Erin promptly answered for us. She is so accommodating! The main level of the house conveniently has a bedroom and bathroom that is perfect for handicap accessibility. (We brough our own ramps for house entry and exit, which worked out well). We loved this house and the location, thank you so much Erin!

We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely historic home. The house offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. The yard was a great asset too. Our family had fun playing games in the back yard. We will be back to try the fire pit and roast marshmallows.

URI Graduation Trip

This house was the perfect location for us to celebrate our son's graduation from URI. It is a corner lot, right on the edge of the campus. There was plenty of room for us to have his friends over to barbecue and in the evening they enjoyed the fire pit. There was also more than enough room for our family to stay. The downstairs bedroom was great for our one guest who had just had a knee replacement and couldn't do the steps. The property itself is full of history and charm, yet with all the modern conveniences. We went to Newport one day and Mystic another - and this property was perfect, being right in the middle of the two. Erin, the owner, was fantastic to work with. I would stay here again in a minute.
